I mean, yes, this is the reason. I've said this myself over and over: The lunatic, stupid, ignorant, neurotic, hysterical left, by which I also mean the NeverTrump liberal ex-Republicans, whose brains were all melted down in 2016 and who have been suffering from untreated nervous breakdowns which they have forced the rest of us to suffer from, have felt forced to take nearly all of their positions for the last seven years by simply looking at what position Trump was taking, and then hysterically overreacting and taking the most extremist, absolutist contradictory position possible.

Did Trump say "the cure must not be worse than the disease?!" Well the hell with that racist -- oh yes, the cure must certainly be worse than the disease, far worse, Drumpfhitler!!!

Because Trump took a lot of extremely sensible positions, that has put the left, and again I include NeverTrump, in the constant attitude of having to take extremely insensible positions.

And they blame Trump for that. The Bad Orange Man has made us wrong about everything! His stupid brain has incredible psychical powers!!!

According to The View hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin, former President Donald Trump is responsible for the lack of credibility initially given to the theory of COVID-19 originating from a lab leak in Wuhan, China.
"Trump unleashed this xenophobia," Hostin said. "He stopped allowing Chinese people to come to the country. He then started calling it the--."

Goldberg cut her cohost off, telling her, "Don't even say it."

The China virus?

The Wuhan flu?

These terms are racist? They're both accurate. They both name a place and an pathogen, the way we almost always name a pandemic.

"He kept on saying 'China, China' and doing this thing where I was even concerned, as someone who had lost family members, for [Hostin's husband] to even bring it up," Hostin added. "That is really sad because when you can't trust the transparency of your government, where are you?"
Goldberg also told her cohosts, "he made it about Asian people," referring to Trump's handling of the pandemic.
She then referenced "Asian folks getting smacked and hit and people saying stuff to them about bringing the disease here."

All those inner city Trump Enthusiasts going around, attacking Asians, yelling "MAGA Country," throwing gang signs.

The View blames Trump's "Xenophobia" for discrediting COVID lab leak theory.

I can't recall who said it, but two or three decades ago I heard someone say that -- owing to the increasingly rapid pace of technological change now -- the primary skill young people would need to be successful was the ability to continually, repeatedly unlearn (that which becomes obsolete) & then learn new things quickly.

Why? Because it has all the ingredients of a terrific crime novel or movie. But for real.

An apparently very successful ambulance-chasing lawyer is accused of killing his wife and youngest son. The victims were brutally murdered, but no weapons or fingerprints or foot prints or any evidence pointing at anyone can be found. The lawyer appears to have an air-tight alibi.

Months later the lawyer hires a hit-man to kill him, but he survives because the lawyer says the hit man bungled it. The authorities have been investigating him all along, but now they really focus on him as the killer of wife and son. The authorities find out he is really a scumbag thieving ambulance-chaser, in debt to his neck, and he's an opiates addict.

They have not presented a theory of specifically who committed the murders. They are going with a defense that no hard evidence that Murdaugh did it, so the prosecution has not proven its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

They are trying to say that it was revenge for his son accidentally killing the girl in the boating accident..

That was 4 yrs ago. The hearing for that case wasn't suppose to start till 6/10/21 The family of the girl that was killed was suing Murdaugh for 30 million dollars. The we're having to go through Alex's finances which exposed all the lies and theft Murdaugh had done for 10 yrs and he was about to be exposed.
Wife and son were killed by Murdaugh 6/7/21

The State admits all their evidence is circumstantial.
They have not proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, IMO.
Their supposed motive is that these murders would delay some financial disclosures by a month, which seems to be a flimsy reason to kill your son and wife. Also the timeline provided indicates Alex had like twenty minutes (840-906p) to murder, get rid of his clothes, wash and change (Paul's murder was particularly brutal - back of head blown off) disappear the guns, and throw the wife's cell phone a half mile away.

The prosecutor is being particularly slimy by trying to shift the burden to the defense in proving Alex's innocence. I fear the jury will be sucked into this, because Alex seems to be an opioid addicted thief.

Blowing 50k a WEEK on drugs, coupled with his son killing a girl in the boating accident makes it a lot more likely that this was a revenge killing for the boat accident, or a warning by the drug dealers.
