British Queen Consort calls on authors and writers to resist censorship following push for woke sensitivity

The Queen Consort is Camilla, formerly Parker Bowels, now Windsor, I guess. I saw an article that they're going to drop this "Queen Consort" business and just call her Queen, after the coronation. I approve of this change because I'm lazy and don't like typing extra letters.

Good on her.

University of North Carolina board votes to prohibit compelled speech. Specifically, they're banning university departments from demanding candidates provide pro-diversity and pro-DEI and pro-CRT loyalty oaths for positions and promotions.

They're banning this because this practice has become commonplace.

The University of North Carolina Board of Governors voted to prohibit compelled speech and politically preferential hiring.

The resolution passed on Thursday states: "[T]he University shall neither solicit nor require an employee or applicant ... to affirmatively ascribe to or opine about beliefs, affiliations, ideals, or principles regarding matters of contemporary political debate or social action as a condition to admission, employment, or professional advancement."

...

"When one side is represented and the other side is suddenly allowed to speak up, it may seem like we're taking aim -- but really we're just trying to create a level playing field," Trustee Marty Kotis said.

I missed this from a few days ago: Tater emerged from his burrow, indicating that there are only two weeks of winter left, and announced that the media totes reported the laptop story correctly, insisting they never called it Russian misinformation.

"I think newsrooms just looked around and said, 'We don't have the laptop. We don't have evidence. We don't have evidence it's real. And we know that there are reasons to wonder if it's disinformation,'" Stelter said.

"A lot of the lies that happen now about what happened in 2020 go like this - they say, 'All these a--h---s, they all called it a disinformation!' That's not true," Stelter continued. "A lot of us just wondered, we said out loud, 'could this be?' We said things like 'some former US officials think it might be,' it was always cushioned - it was not always, it was often cushioned that way. And now in retrospect, two years later, three years later, people like partisans like to pretend that it was labeled disinformation, which it wasn't. There was concern. There was reason to be concerned not because of the Hillary emails, but because of the Russian attempt in 2016."

Krakauer pushed back, citing the infamous letter from former intel officials who claimed the Hunter Biden emails shared by the Post had the "classic earmarks of a Russian information operation," something he stressed was "essentially" telling Americans that it was disinformation. He also called out the double standard the media had with its approach to the Russia investigation and how one anonymously-sourced story about the Mueller probe from The New York Times or The Washington Post would fuel "an entire news cycle" but not the New York Post's Hunter Biden story.

...

At the time, Stelter himself heavily suggested to his CNN audience that the controversy was a fake scandal being pushed by the far right.

"There's a lot about this story that does not add up," Stelter told his viewers in October 2020. "And, I mean, for all we know, these emails were made up, or maybe some are real and some are fakes, we don't know. But we do know that this is a classic example of the right-wing media machine."

One objection you can make about that MRC compilation is that the media is reporting what the "51 intelligence professionals" say. But it's actually not dishonest, because the tone of the reporting urges to the viewer that they're telling the truth, and there is no pushback to their claims. There is no reportage from the opposing view showing the laptops to be real, such as just showing Tony Bobolinski confirming that emails shown on the the laptop are real email chains he participated in.

There is also, obviously, no reportage from the laptop. It is treated as if it is proven to be RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION, as Biden's information-op-running Deep State loyalists say.

Trump's not going to sign it. He didn't sign it last time, saying he didn't want to make any promises in advance, before knowing if he'd been "treated fairly" or not. That was not completely out of line, given that the GOP is a scumbag organization that was plainly hostile to him. (And he was also attempting a hostile take over.)

He also won't sign it now. Nothing has changed, except that he's even angrier that people like DeSantis aren't deferring to him given that he's the nominal head of the party and, arguably, actually kinda-sorta the elected current president. He uses his refusal to commit to supporting the nominee unless it's himself as a threat, implying that if you don't make him the nominee, maybe the nomination won't go so well for the party. Maybe I'll run third party and blow it all up. Or maybe I'll just encourage my loyalists to not vote.

If I were DeSantis I'd throw the threat right back, and I'd just also refuse to sign the pledge and say the same thing: Maybe I'll go third party, if I don't think I've been "treated fairly." That would be baller.

Speaking of:

Well, I was hoping that Donald Trump wouldn't retweet the stupid lie that George Soros had endorsed Ron DeSantis, because that would just force his supporters to defend this lie, but of course he did just that today. Of course. How could he not?

Ah, I'm sure he'll do the right and honorable thing and retract when he finds out it's bogus.

(LOL.)

Biden: "I may be a white boy, but I'm not stupid."

This isn't as bad in context as it sounds. He's saying that even though he's white, he knows that the "Divine Nine," the nine big black fraternities, have the real power. Um, okay. So he's saying that even though he's white, he's privvy to this bit of black lore.

That's not that bad. But it continues the trend that the official word from The Regime is that white people can only be discussed in the most disparaging terms possible.

I've been annoyed by Biden's ethnic pandering before, saying that Irish people were stupid and prone to anger. I think he's speaking of his branch of the family. He should have added "corrupt," "drug-abusing," "whoremongering," and "r@ping."

Biden calls for the draft. Not really, it's a "pre-creation," Jack Posobiec says. It's an AI Deepfake.

Man this stuff is getting suuuuuper good.

In other words, 1,000 times the substantive basis for about 99% of all the hysterical, obviously ridiculous jihads run by the "press" against Trump (and previous GOP presidents, though it was less obviously insane).

But fussing over the details of the lies, idiocy, and dishonesty of the output by the cartoon propaganda sector (previously known as the press) is kinda pointless.

So - still a chance of getting Stalingrad's Red October or Barricades factory battles, Part Deux, before this slog-fest peters out.

I'll accept longer cooking time if a lower temp will avoid smoke/whatever you call it.

Just gonna put some fresh lemon/zest sage and thyme under the skin and in the cavity, nothing elaborate.

You can start the chicken at 450 for 10 minutes and then reduce to 350 for 20 mins a pound. Put in on a rack in the middle of the oven. Put butter under the skin, not on top. You can use a teaspoon (the eating kind, not measuring kind) to slide under the skin to lift it up without tearing it. Also put about 1/2 cup dry white wine in the bottoms of your roasting pan. Hope that helps!

181 Members of penal units could "earn" their way out of them through good performance. For convicts this also meant expunging/shortening/ending their sentences.

Germans had penal units on the eastern front (before the Soviets, i.e. before 227), don't think you could earn your way out of those.

Some claims that Azovs have sometimes been stationed to the rear of some Uke front-line units on the southern front. Dunno if accurate. But plausible.

Those videos make me nervous as hell. Maybe they only scooped up gang members. It sure is nice they tend to tell everyone who they are by writing on their skin they're gang members. Maybe they correctly scooped up gang members and nobody else. But I'm nervous as hell when I see so many people here praising the results and essentially saying, "This is how it should be done!"

To me, that says that people here are ready or close to ready to receive a strongman who will take everything from us in exchange for making all this madness stop.

That's exactly what the Bolsheviks did. They released the prisoners on the population and prosecuted anyone who fought back. Then they promised safety and security if they'd just be given the powers to enact it.

Whether someone on their side or someone on our side becomes the strongman, the only thing that changes is who gets persecuted first before we devolve into round after round of revolutions, executions, pillaging, regime change, etc.

The wife of a king is always "just" a queen consort, but there's no demand that the "consort" part be used. She gets "majesty" as well.

I don't know exactly what the CoE's position on divorce was at that time. If a marriage between Charles and Camilla had been ok'd, I assume that, as legitimate children of the Prince of Wales, they would have been in the regular line of succession. As to Camilla's previous children, presumably they would have received some kind of title, like "Viscount Broadchestington" or whatever. I'm not sure a situation like that has ever occurred, though.

260 As Publius points out it is perfectly acceptable and general practice to refer to QC as "Queen" since Queen is outranked by King. Doesn't work the other way around which is why Prince Phillip for fifty years.

261 Gents, Rons and Ettes...

Donald Trump has withstood the most shit any of us have EVAH withstood in our lives - can you imagine being 'investigated' by a completely biased lawfare system for seven fucking years?!

DJT is not getting in RdS's face, he is returning fire. Like usual. Only a troll would do what RdS is doing while not announcing serving the globalist establishment.

263 Stacey Abrams, in Nigeria to observe their election, was shocked to learn the African nation requires voter ID. She famously sued GA to stop them from requiring voter ID calling it Jim Crow 2.0. Is Nigeria racist?

264 I'll be wearing my RBG Commemorative Neck Doily for the entire Women's History Month. It's rough, because March has 31 days and the doily gets rank toward the end.

265 I continue to remain amazed at the sheer political insanity (some may calling it “ambition” of DeSantis’s 2024 run for President.

Of course, I can end up being totally wrong, but increasingly Ron gives the appearance of being Florida’s Scott Walker. Road Kill on President Trump’s road to the nomination.

I guess Ron didn’t want to be President Trump’s VP. (Ron would have been the obvious choice if he didn’t run against President Trump, the fact they both live in Florida notwithstanding; there’s no rule against it.)

There’s no question in my mind DeSantis thinks the Deep State is going to take out President Trump one way or another; especially with the albatross Jeb Bush publicly aligning with DeSantis — that’s the bigger kiss of death among the evil Orange Man’s supporters, much more than Soros.

266 I'm making $100 an hour working from home. i was greatly surprised at the same time as my neighbour advised me she changed into averaging $100 however I see the way it works now. I experience mass freedom now that I'm my non-public boss.
