You never know, the WB LoTR thing could be good. There is a lot of great spectacle if they did Silmarillion* stuff, but I think they are doing Third Age... which was already done with The Peter Jackson movies. So...
*heh. Chrome spellcheck recognizes 'Silmarillion.' Posted by: Aetius451AD Work Laptop at February 25, 2023 04:17 AM (zZu0s) 9

From Big Blue: Earth is in a 2.58my ice age, in an 11,000y warm interglacial between 100,000y deep freezes, known as glacials. This is due to orbital fluctuations known as Milankovitch cycles & has nothing to do with the atmospheric trace gas carbon dioxide regardless of rise & fall, a UN hoax. Interesting graph, made from ice core data. As temperatures rise, CO2 levels follow right along. Posted by: Divide by Zero at February 25, 2023 04:36 AM (enJYY) 14
Ice ages come and ice ages go, one will come again no matter what men on earth do

Typical late winter weather weekend coming up. Snow squalls, robins trying to find worms in the thin layer of ice and snow, and my neighbor bitching about why he doesn't live in Florida. Its all his and Trumps fault.

How come in all ancient cave paintings it's man hunting game and not salad?
Posted by: Deep Thoughts at February 25, 2023 *** Always remember, the word "vegetarian" is derived from an ancient Indian word meaning "lousy hunter." Or, as Speaker-to-Animals said, "How much intelligence does it take to sneak up on a leaf?" Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at February 25, 2023 05:40 AM (omVj0) 30
It has been rilly rilly cold. Like 45 degrees.

I put a new ceramic tile floor into a guest bathroom. 50 square feet at $1.99 per square foot, so a hundred bucks. But it's a thicker tile and now I have to either chip out the old marble threshold and replace it, or overlay it with a 1/4" red oak at about $50 - or half the cost of the floor. Geez, lumber is crazy expensive anymore. Posted by: Divide by Zero at February 25, 2023 05:45 AM (enJYY) 32
It would be great to rip my sinuses out of my head and stomp them into dust. Because they're killing me.
Posted by: San Franpsycho at February 25, 2023 *** From the time I was about 12 until I was 42, I had recurring "sinus" headaches that felt like a nail being driven in over my left eye by my nose. Not migraines, but nauseating and exhausting (and hangovers would usually kick them on too). When they began to run into a second day, I got an Rx for Seldane. It worked, but wired me up no end -- it had lots of caffeine. Then, suddenly, they stopped happening and have been gone from my life for more than 20 years. So perhaps there is hope for you, SanFran. Posted by: Wolfus Aurelius, Dreaming of Elsewhere at February 25, 2023 05:45 AM (omVj0) 33
Talking about being a vegetarian or meat eater, what happened to the story about bugs being the future. Deep fried cockroaches, ants, stink bugs and all the rest. Maybe the next fast food chain, get in on the ground floor now!

Regarding the Seldane knocking out my sinus headaches years ago: The Seldane is off the market now, but apparently it was loaded with caffeine. If I'd known I could have taken some No-Doz and and maybe knocked the headaches out a lot earlier in my life?

Did you know that tech companies are fleeing Israel in droves because they are going to change the way they appoint judges? Rheeeeeee! Posted by: San Franpsycho at February 25, 2023 05:46 AM Leftists always violate the 48 hour rule. They only care about the latest unverified outrage. They never check back on the story. I got in a conversation with my leftist sis about J6. She knows the early reporting. Anything about who actually died, that the fire extinguisher story was bogus, Roy Epps, who secured the permits for the event? Nope, nada, zilch. Posted by: Jamaica NYC at February 25, 2023 *** I never used that word much growing up. Then I met my father-in-law, the well-educated pro non-fiction writer, and he sprinkled his conversation with it. Now I let it slip more often than I should. "Have you noticed in me a tendency to use profanity for emphasis?" "No." "It's f**king radioactive out there."
