Kim Gardner Faces Public Demands to Resign As Well As Attorney General Court Action to Remove Her From Office In Aftermath of a Visitor to St. Louis Losing Her Legs to a Habitual Criminal She Let Roam the Streets to Menace Citizens

I don't read the local St. Louis papers so I didn't know what spurred Missouri's AG to demand Gardner resign or be removed from office. She's always been awful and she's always been determined to help bitter criminals murder citizens -- what's new?

Then I read the Attorney General's statement. Kim Gardner ripped the legs off a young woman with her Joker-like insistence that criminals shall rule the city.

"As Attorney General, I want to protect the people of St. Louis, and that includes protecting victims of crime and finding justice for them," said Attorney General Andrew Bailey. "Instead of protecting victims, Circuit Attorney Gardner is creating them. My office will do everything in its power to restore order, and eliminate the chaos in St. Louis caused by Kim Gardner's neglect of her office."

On February 18, 2023, Janae Edmonson, a teenage athlete, was walking back to her hotel in downtown St. Louis after a volleyball tournament when she was run down by a speeding vehicle and lost both of her legs. One was severed, and the other maimed. Ms. Edmonson survived the crash due to her father's quick action and emergency medical training, but both of her legs were amputated.

The driver of the speeding vehicle, Daniel Riley, should never have been in that car. He is a dangerous gunman who should have been in jail. In 2020, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office charged Riley with First Degree Robbery and Armed Criminal Action for stealing a firearm from a victim at gunpoint. The Circuit Attorney dismissed and refiled that case on July 18, 2022, but not before Riley- who was out on bond- earned 54 separate violations for failing to comply with the pre-trial bond conditions. After the Circuit Attorney refiled the case, Riley earned 50 more violations. The Circuit Attorney never filed a motion to revoke Riley's bond.

This is the latest in a long pattern of brazen neglect. The St. Louis Circuit Attorney has a long history of failure to prosecute violent crime, with a backlog of at least 3,000 cases.

"It is time for the Circuit Attorney to go and for the rule of law and justice to prevail," said Attorney General Bailey.

It's actually a little worse than he reports, if you can believe that. This dirty scumbag was allowed to remain "at home" under supposed house arrest, with a tracker on his ankle -- despite the fact that he violated the terms of his house arrest order FIFTY TIMES.

This is what the AG means when >he insists that this very hangable scumbag should never have been on the streets to maim this poor girl.

The outrage against Gardner stems from an incident over the weekend, in which an out-of-town teenager suffered a life-changing injury due to a driver who was out on bond awaiting trial for armed robbery.

Janae Edmondson, 17, was visiting St. Louis with her family in order to participate in a volleyball tournament. The family was walking in downtown St. Louis around 8:40 p.m. last Saturday when a speeding driver failed to yield and collided with another vehicle. That second vehicle struck Edmondson.

One of Edmondson's legs was severed in the crash and the other severely maimed. Her father's quick thinking and military training allowed him to save her life, but both of her legs had to be amputated as a result. She remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Two people in the vehicle that was struck were also injured.

The driver who caused the crash, Daniel Riley, 21, was out on bond and under house arrest for an August 2020 robbery case, but had been ordered to wear a GPS monitoring device.

Riley's case was supposed to go to trial last July, but was delayed. Court records show Riley violated his GPS monitoring device more than 50 times, including 10 times in the last month.

Only now does a judge deny him bail and keep in court, now that the public i in absolute fury.

Everyone says it was everyone else's fault that this guy tore the legs off a girl. The communist judge blames the communist Soros DA, and the communist Soros DA blames the communist judge.

Here's an idea: Drive them all out of the city.

Earlier this week, the Circuit Attorney's Office said it was well aware of Riley's criminal history, but said the decision to allow him out on bond was the call of the judge on that particular case.

A spokesperson for the CAO added that the victim in Riley's armed robbery case died, but the judge planned to move ahead with the trial in July 2022, and that's why prosecutors said they weren't ready. The spokesperson explained that the CAO then refiled the robbery charges to pursue the case without the victim.

In response to the Circuit Attorney's Office accusation that it was the judge's decision to keep Riley out on bond, a statement from the 22nd Circuit Court said judges are not notified of GPS violations, that only the attorneys of record are notified.

The crash adds to many waves of criticism and challenges facing Gardner's office. She was previously disciplined last year amid allegations of concealing evidence in a high-profile case. Former Attorney General Eric Schmitt also accused her of concealing evidence in efforts to vacate the conviction of Lamar Johnson.

I've mentioned that case before -- Kim Gardner is literally hiding evidence about career criminals to spring them out of jail.

Can an elected communist, destroy-civilization Soros DA be removed by a quo warranto action?

Well, an action was successfully brought against a DA in 2009.

Former Attorney General Chris Koster, a Democrat, used the manuever to seek the removal of the Dent County prosecutor in 2009. The action centers around whether a person has forfeited the legal right to hold public office.

"She's lost the trust of the people," even a key ally admits.

Circuit Attorney Kimberly M. Gardner faced an unprecedented barrage of criticism -- and a threat of removal -- from state and local leaders on Wednesday over a car crash last weekend that left a teen in critical condition.

One of the region's top business advocates called Gardner's lack of action "unforgiveable." An area county executive called for state intervention. Even Mayor Tishaura O. Jones, once one of Gardner's most prominent allies, said the prosecutor's office must do better.

"She really needs to do some soul-searching of whether or not she wants to continue as circuit attorney, because she's lost the trust of the people," Jones said.

Update: Andrew Bailey files to remove her from office.

If Gardner goes, someone just like her takes her place.

27 Quo warranto is a legitimate proceeding against a prosecuting attorney under the Missouri Constitution, so far as I can tell. There are no fewer than four state Supreme Court decisions establishing it, and at least one specifically says that a sheriff who doesn't enforce the law and otherwise abuses his office is considered to have forfeited his post and can be removed on those grounds. It stands to reason that if a sheriff can be removed, so can a lawless DA.

I would hope that Bailey is reasonably sure of success, though, and has sounded out the state Supreme Court in some way (since I'm sure that's where it will ultimately go).

60 I'm all for this, but serious question: Why the uproar over this case and threats to oust Gardner when there have been so many other cases involving career criminals set free that almost immediately rape and murder? What's so special about this case? Or is it just a case of the straw that broke the camel's back?

The victim is a pretty young girl who, judging by the pictures, is very light-skinned black (possibly mixed race). The skel is a creepy-looking young light-skinned black thug with a face you wanna smash with a tire iron. It's basically black-on-black crime. I can't perceive any social justice points here that would explain the sudden outrage. Am I missing something?

Is it the nature of the crime? I think that actually cuts against this case being so special. It was basically a horrific accident. It wasn't a premeditated violent crime like so many other let-loose criminals have committed.

So what gives? Why this case? Why now?

No matter how badly the elected democrat performs, they continue to get reelected. Looked at some polls yesterday o RCP and Biden is actually in positive territory in two different polls. Who the hell thinks Biden is doing a good job? 27% think hte country is going in the right direction but Biden is doing a good job? This makes no sense.

When there are genuine elections, it's probably largely cultural and the fact that the GOP doesn't try. Democrats are literally the only game in town, the entire family has always voted Democrat, and Democrats show up to ask for votes while handing out goodies to ensure support.

When there aren't genuine elections, it's just the machine protecting itself and the people accepting it quietly.

- first off, the inhabitants could give a crap about some "rich people" from outside the city, AKA tourists. in Philly they openly hate tourists.

- second off, the way voting works is you don't even have to bother to do it! the machine votes for you, easy peasy. if you made it legal/verifiable, these people would have to get off their duffs and actually walk to the mailbox or something. THAT IS RACIST!

It should go directly to the state Supreme Court. Cases involving someone's right to hold office are explicitly under its jurisdiction.

However, I have no idea about the positions of the individual justices. Our judges don't act too stupid as a rule, but that's no guarantee.

Domestic violence, gangs fighting over their own turf, people killed in a bar fight - It's not exactly "They got what they deserved" but people like my mom know they face zero threat from those things. This question requires that one assume that the elections are legitimate when there is no reason to assume that elections are legitimate. How many urban elections have been stolen over the last 30 years? Probably a lot.

But even if the elections *are* legitimate, there are tons of people who will go along with the flow and vote the way they're told to vote, or how they've always voted. 123 ace impeachment is not just impossible (there are no counterparts on the Dem side to the loathsome Romney, or Kinzinger), it's a ridiculous diversion from actually doing something. Which involves $$. Appropriations are the Congress's chief power. When they're not used - and the GOP has not used this leverage in living memory, in a serious way - almost everything becomes theater.

The Routinely Unbelievable case, for example, you talked about yesterday - the USAF vet congressional candidate whose military records were leaked. "Nothing will be done". True - but it wouldn't be true if the House GOP made it clear the USAF would take a 25% hit to their appropriation until and unless they deliver a full investigation, names, and consequences for those names.

It's an inscrutable chicken-and-egg paradox as to which is the key problem, a useless preposterous political class (mostly GOP), or a brain-dead unserious electorate that doesn't care or understand. But there's no barrier to results other than inaction.

Timing and blind luck, probably. How much more bullshit is there in Saint Louis that isn't reported? It may well just be "the last straw." This guy maimed the victim. It may have been an accident rather than a premeditated crime, but it was gruesome and it shouldn't have happened, because the guy shouldn't have been out on the streets in the first place. It's a big, ugly, nasty thing and it was completely avoidable and so has thrown the problem of criminals going unprosecuted into the spotlight in that city.

The difference is, most of that savagery stays in the Middle East. It's far from impossible for the perps to make their way here, of course, but it is rather difficult logistically. Hoodlums in STL and other big cities? Driving to one of the suburbs and pulling that crap isn't difficult at all. They're a danger to their immediate neighbors, and it's the responsibility of the government to deal with them, rather than leave said neighbors with the choice of toughing it out or moving.

Besides, is removing Gardner going to undo the system that put her there with a 50 point majority? Is her replacement going to suddenly do what the voters obviously don't want based on the elections of the past few years in St. Louis?

I understand why a state level Republican is trying to make an example of her. It's good politics, but that's about all it will end up being. The way to make it unbearable in St. Louis to just let St. Louis continue what it's doing.

The reality is that the people either affirmatively want this or they refuse to address the fraud that keeps the situation in place. It's the reality of the situation, and the only people who can actually change it are the voters of St. Louis. They either change their voting behaviors or retake their franchise from the machine that denies it to them.

is this just the bill I talked about that bans *pre-pubesecent* minors -- those 12, 13 or younger -- and allows the "therapy" for all pubescent minors? Like, another Con the Rubes ruse?

Or is this a new bill aimed at correcting the last one?

Not that different in NYC. The company I work for has garages in the Bronx. Really shitty neighborhood, one of the worst if not the worst in NYC. Sometimes if I'm there I walk home to my place on upper west side. It's only about 3 miles but it's night and day: from one of the worst places in NYC to one of the most affluent in 3 miles. And incredibly, you can almost sense the dividing line at about 110th street.

223 There are only 3 ways the problems of American cities sprawling into violent hell holes gets fixed

1) The people in those cities step up and remove their representatives. Now, vote fraud is rampant in the shitholes - I would expect a significant portion of the votes counted weren't cast by the people that supposedly sent them in - but as someone above pointed out, Gardner won her last election by 50%

2) The yutes move into the wealthy areas and go after the brahmin class. But as we've seen the cops WILL be told to clamp down on yutes that do this, versus the yutes destroying the middle/working/dependent class neighborhoods.

3) The red states take self government away from the blue shithole cities.

224 Following on what Marcus T said, I think some of the economic impact of the Pandemic is yet to be felt. I live in a pretty wealthy area and there is an incredible amount of new construction going on. Giant office and apartment buildings. The permits for this building was given a while back as it takes a long time to go through the paperwork and hearinigs for these massive projects. yet there are For Lease signs everywhere. From small businesses to large apartment buildings giant signs adorning the buildings looking for tenants.
With inflation driving up rents there are fewer and fewer people who can afford to live here and if you can choose a new building versus an old building, the choice is obvious.
This has to be going on 1000 fold in these big cities with office buildings that used to house the laptop class that no longer needs to go into the office.

My guess is that very little fraud is involved here. Internet says St. Louis is 50% black. When it comes to politics, that's a very tribal voting block. So unless Dems run another black Dem in the primary, there's no muh hope of defeating an incumbant black Dem in the primary. And there's no hope of doing so in the general election, even if the Republican is black, because that's also the most loyal Dem voting block in existence. St. Louis more so than most blue shitholes is likely in an irreversible death spiral. Bombing it like Dresden, not eletioneering, is the answer.

280 There are a growing number of job applicants who won't take jobs in places like NYC. Combined with the fact the Phony Pandemic has made significant changes in remote working, or illustrated both the attractiveness and low cost of areas outside these cities, a reckoning is coming. They are losing their corporate tax base and the revenues that come with large amounts of office workers. Crime is chasing away residents who can afford to leave. Sooner or later you end up with a crime ridden city in dire straights that nobody wants to live in unless they have no choice.

Different strokes and all that, yeah. Always.

I'm not even rural. I'm in a small city near a bigger city. Life is better here than I have experienced in really big cities. I prefer it. If the blue gives can control their crime, it will probably result in a major preference shift back to where it was. A lot of people like the city and will put up with the dirt and the noise and the taxes and the other costs of everything, but adding in out-of-control crime will make people with options reconsider, even if they're otherwise down with it.

California made a crucial error when legalizing weed: they made it too expensive. If taxes are high enough, the black market comes roaring back (or never goes away). I experienced this is NY with cigarettes. The taxes were so high that bootlegging became a reasonable choice. Most of NY is pretty close to another state or an Indian reservation.

When I was in college, a buddy of mine would take orders and go buy cartons on the reservation once a month, come back and sell them to other students out of his dorm room. He made a tidy profit and the smokers all saved a bundle. That means his profit, his cost of doing business (fuel, etc.) and the reservation store's profit were all radically lower than the tax burden.

Taxes as high as a lot of states charge on pot make a black market very appealing and it is even easier because the *entire* market was black not too long ago. The market infrastructure is still there.

363 > Most of NY is pretty close to another state or an Indian reservation.

There was a case a decade or so ago where bootleggers were supposedly exporting Players (a popular Canadian brand) to an Indian reservation in New York. Canada didn't tax exports at the time (or didn't tax them as much, I forget which), and of course there was no US tax on the rez. Then the Indians would load the smokes into boats and take them across the lake to the other half of the same rez, which was in Canada.

The Canadian government got wise when someone noticed that this rez in New York was somehow allegedly consuming a full 50% of the production of this specifically Canadian brand.

It is extremely segregated. You can literally go one block and transition from relatively safe to your life is in imminent danger.
==
Its super weird. There are separate courts for the City of St. Louis and St. Louis County. Basically they legally segregated the city and its inhabitants from the swells who reside in the county. That said there are extensive millionaire's row type neighborhoods in the city. Walled off and gates etc etc.

I tried a couple of cases in the city. On one jury panel, every single prospective juror had at least one misdemeanor arrest in the prior two years. One of the reasons segregation is so awful, is you are basically creating Haiti at home in certain districts. Look at any large US city run by dems and you will find haiti neighborhoods.

I’m moving to a red state in a few days. Not only am I going to vote, I’m going to organize and mobilize others to vote.

427 Yeah this. Saw a back and forth between Jesse Kelly and Liz Wheeler about national divorce. Wheeler has a position that national divorce is loser mentality and we can't just surrender territory to the Marxists.

I've been pondering this. How about a national divorce, and as blue areas collapse under their own mismanagement, we swoop in and conquer them? Then we get our surrendered territory back.

428 Seriously if Nikki's numbers really are down (and who knows anymore), it only cements my theory that Don Lemon was acting on behalf of the DNC with incredibly viral marketing language designed to kill her candidacy in the crib.

As they say "it worked, didn't it?"

Ask yuprself what is different on CNN mornings now?? Oh yeah he went to a day of "training" and poppy is really so upset she's gonna work with him but promises she won't enjoy it.

What does "divorce" mean in this context. How do you imagine the mechanics occurring? 50% of the country picks up and moves to the other 50% of the country? Who moves and who stays? I don't think you understand, even in places that are red or blue, there is still 30 or 40% of the population that isn't. Also, there sooo much vote cheating going on I don't believe the percentages anyway. And who enforces anything either during the divorce or after? If you don't force people to move, you just have a state by state referendum -- um, do you trust the voting in Georgia? Arizona? A national divorce is just one of the stage of grief. Bargaining. Come to grips with it. The country is dead, its not coming back and you don't get to control what happens next. Nobody does. Its an unsolvable mess and if history teaches us anything it teaches that there is a lot of ruin in a nation but eventually they fall.

Players brand is a Brit product also made in other Commonwealth countries such as Canada and South Africa. So surely the smokes were going from Canada to the USA side? I'm confused.

437 I will say something maybe I shouldn't say, but there is a certain demographic that is maybe 7-8% overall of California and, expensive and annoying as it is around here, it's difficult to imagine migrating somewhere where it's much higher.

Sure as hell can't imagine being within 100mi of St Louis.

438 Sure as hell can't imagine being within 100mi of St Louis.

Last time I went through there by road I needed a few things so stopped at a Walmart. Silly Californian, first time I'd ever seen a separate checkout - with security guard - for the cosmetics.

No, just no. Even with Gavin and his tribe running this place, we don't have that yet, and I expect if I they had that level of shrinkage they'd just close the stores.

441 Let me know when someone like the girl's father decides to introduce Gardener to the situation of being a homicide victim.

Because that's what it's going to take for this to end: Soros DAs becoming crime victims, and then the jruy refusing to convict the family member / victim who returned the favor
