I got a glimpse of the clever leverage point of our downfall in one of JJ's links this morning. A long-time Reuter's editor was starting to wonder about Global Warming and noticing that both sides are no longer able to be presented, and this quote was in the article:
"The debate about climate change is far from over. I’m not a scientist so I don’t know enough to say it’s all man-made or not. " https://tinyurl.com/2kjn7o8t That bolded part is key to everything. Up until the last twenty years or so people grew up, got an education, and had horse-sense enough to make judgment calls on things. And the vast majority of times those calls were correct because stuff is simple. But that bolded part has been maybe the most brilliant angle of all of this. Credentialism has taken hold, and even people who know they're smart enough to start looking at things with skepticism refuse to do it and doubt their own smarts because they're not the Smart People. Absolutely brilliant. Posted by: DOE confirms our patented COVID bioweapon was lab-created, released by China at February 27, 2023 11:08 AM (QTVDh) 34

>>The 70's were awesome. Certain aspects were indeed awesome, and the bits that weren't awesome were largely dependent on if you resided in a big city like NYC, which I did during the 70's. Hogg should check out the Massachusetts Constitution, Article XVII.
The people have a right to keep and to bear arms for the common defence. No, the 1970's were also bizzare, schizophenic, but Oh so interesting, too.
The Manson family, John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, Son of Sam, Jim Jones, and more. Vietnam, still. The Nixon administration indicted the Berrigans & others for conspiracy, including bizarre charges of planning to kidnap Henry Kissinger and blow up heating tunnels in federal buildings in Washington, D.C. 1971. Locally, also 1971, a 8 anti-war activists in the Citizens' Commission to Investigate the FBI broke into an FBI office in Media, PA, stole documents and began leaking FBI abuses to the media, exposing COINTELPRO. Bell bottoms, daisy dukes, disco, rollerblades, mood rings, stacked heels, push (far) up bras including for bikinis. Dresses from then are reappearing now. Fun thread. Thanks. That the VA is going to de-prioritize white people when it comes to cancer treatment.
When the Covid vaccine came out, Oregon of course gave top priority to members of teachers unions (ahead of the 80-year-olds). An "equity advisory committee" then recommended that all members of minority groups get priority for the shot ahead of the 80-year-olds, because elderly people in Oregon were just too white. The state didn't accept the recommendation from the "equity advisory committee" - it was a few years ahead of its time. You're going to have to hunt for Adams' own words, because direct quotations aren't a thing anymore. (Also, not in a situation that I can easily link it.) Basically he said that those disagreeing with the statement "It's OK to be white" were a hate group. (The statistic he cited was 47% of surveyed black people, when in reality it was 26% disagreeing and 21% not sure.) Posted by: pookysgirl, so very pale at February 27, 2023 11:52 AM (dtlDP) 264

Why do some people knock even though there’s a doorbell? In fact, I realize I do that sometimes, and I really don’t know why.
______ I can't speak for anyone else, but I often knock even when there's a doorbell because a lot of them don't actually work. Also the Sex Pistols US tour was an anti-tour. They played shitty venues like that.
One story has them eating breakfast in some Texas greasy spoon and a local guy decided to show them how tough he was so he walked over to them while they were eating and put his cigarette out in his hand and laughed. Sid whipped out his knife and cut his forearm open and bled all over his eggs and then ate them. The destruction was baked in the cake. Posted by: pawn at February 27, 2023 01:28 PM (kYVzH) 389
