Top Story

  • How AI will make the Semantic Web possible. (The AI Maze)

It won't. It will do the opposite - fill the web with plausible garbage to a degree that makes search engines utterly useless.

In fact, this is already happening.

R2-D2 was always an oddity because speech synthesis is a much simpler problem than speech recognition. And comprehension is a harder problem than just taking dictation.

    In short, we're doomed.

Because everytime they get called out for this, their, and their media defenders, responses are just "it's okay, that's just nothing and it didn't get calculated in to the results. Just believe us, why would we ever lie?"

Everytime they're confronted with actual evidence they've been allowed to just use their word as proof, and the media/ government/ corrupt judges take it as fact.

The Daily Kos crowd is losing their mind that McCarthy gave Tucker exclusive access to the j6 videos. Their arguments running two directions. First is McCarthy doesn't own them so he can't give them away and because of that he should be impeached or hung. And in a contradictory direction if Tucker can have the videos then everybody should have access to the videos which is kind of funny because when Pelosi was sitting on them not one of them thought it was wrong.

(WHO) identified antimicrobial resistance among the major threats to global health, food security and economic stability,1 attributing to 1.27 million deaths annually with the highest burden in low- and middle-income countries.2 This public health crisis is predicted to worsen due to climate change—a force-multiplier for the spread of infectious disease and antimicrobial resistance.

My early guess would be that the effectiveness of this antibiotic is less breakthrough and more hype. I guess time will tell.

Not as big a deal as it might sound. N3 is just the first iteration of 3nm at TSMC; it will be followed up with N3E later this year, then N3P, N3S, and N3X variants next year. Apple has grabbed the early production, which they also did with 5nm, but AMD and Nvidia are on a different release schedule and don't have any products they could ship on 3nm anyway.

So I thought this was funny.

The other day I flipped past an episode of The Young Riders which includes one of the Baldwin brothers (not sure which one) in the cast. His character was participating in a stage play in that episode, where he was having difficulty acting like he felt threatened by a gun-wielding man, because it was play-acting. So the lady who was directing the play picked up a loaded gun, pointed it at him and said, "How about now? Do you feel threatened now?"

I said, "Holys**t! Why hasn't Alec Baldwin's lawyers had that episode pulled from the air?

Project Veritas is an American far-right activist group founded by James O'Keefe in 2010. The group produces deceptively edited videos of its undercover operations, which use secret recordings in an effort to discredit mainstream media organizations and progressive groups.

There might be a case to be made that Marx and Engels were a bit too wishy-washy to be considered "far left". Multiple times they make various caveats and warnings about their "system", such as it is. You could also make a case that the bloodlust and fanaticism associated with Applied Leftism comes mostly from the 20th century practitioners of their jumbled up incoherent porridge of wishful thinking and platitudes.

You are wonderful too and add interesting insights as well as humor with your funny nics to the board.

I admire Franklin,s incisive instinct intelligence and love for his country, but I think he was probably more of a Deist than a Christian, I believed he admired some moral stands of Jesus, but thought God basically created the world and took his hands out of it. Which is where the idea that "God helps those who help themselves" comes from, I think. Bible seems to suggest God helps the helpless and for myself while I don't encourage a passive inactivity at all, I want to try to be sure that my plans are in keeping with the will of God. But it's 6:00 in the morning and am too tired to get into much philosophical discussion right now. ☺️

It's the big celebration day before the 40-some days of Lent. Its alternate name, Carnival, means "farewell to the flesh," meaning you were supposed to give up eating meat (and maybe sexual relations? I dunno) until Easter.

In recent years the city has revived the old custom of calling the day before Mardi Gras "Lundi Gras," meaning "Fat Monday" -- another excuse to take off from work, drink, and eat. Since it sometimes appears that half the denizens of this place do no work anyway, it seems pretty pointless to designate a special day for it.
