I know it's not officially the end of winter but there's a heat wave in the southeast. It might hit eighty on Thursday in some parts of the south.

This report says it will be 87 in Jacksonville. I barely count that because it's Florida. Still, that's pretty balmy for February.

BTW, the only reason that Europe didn't suffer catastrophe this winter, given Putin's gas embargo and Biden blowing up the pipeline, is because it was such a mild winter.

Reminds me of when the neighbor's dog tried to jump the cyclone fence and got all strung up in it, she was hanging upside down by her paw and yelping. Dad rushed into the garage and came out with boltcutter. We kids were really upset because that was one mean bitch my father was rescuing.

He freed her, and then she went on to a bright future wherein she bit her owner and they had to put her down. That dog was asshoe.

90 Low 70s today and I gave Filthy Car a bath. Then I did the inside windows, which is no problem except for the windshield. Damn window cleaner didn't have ammonia, so essentially blue water. I remembered in my stash a bottle of 90% rubbing alcohol. Put about a cup in the spray bottle, half full with the bogus windex. Man, did that clean the windows from a winter of cigarette smoke.

Then it was typical stew stuff; carrots, celery, bell pepper, onion, 2 garlic cloves. Added some frozen spinach and okra. Canned diced tomatoes, mushrooms, broth. Used cajun seasoning, pepper, garlic salt (not much left in the bottle so I used that). Being a yankee protestant I have no idea how long Mardi Gras is so I may be late or early or right in the middle of it. Also, Listening to some various musical New Orleans CDs. If you don't have Robbie Robertson's Storyville CD, get it. It's fantastic.

The current revival was almost 5o years to the day. As this one . Apparently As Asbury U is doing what it can to accomodate crowd while still holding classe. Website "ChristianPost" has posts of support as well as ones saying "It doesn't have the hallmarks of a genuine revival. Poster the other night said she and her husband went and it was a powerful experience. As far as one of the "Saints" of Protestantism if it genuinely brings people to repentance and a lively faith in the Lottdc Jesus Christ that bears fruit, Bishop Francis Asbury, who wore himself out in service to the gospel would probably approve.

I went to church in the morning, with Spiuse met a lovely senior in high school who said her faith was the most important thing in her life and came back to some news about a wonderfully generous Christian who wants to help the little church which I serve. Then I talked with some guy who's a RC and his faith is the bedrock of his life. So, my heart sings!
