Air Force Confirms That It Improperly Released Personnel Files of Republican Congressional Candidate to Democrat-Aligned Dirt-Digging Firm, As Well as 11 Other Individuals' Records

The Air Force claims the Democrat Dirt Farm "misrepresented itself" -- but one wonders if this isn't a case similar to the FBI's pretending not to know that a lawyer they were taking fake "tips" from was Hillary Clinton's campaign lawyer.

What I mean is, of course, that this firm and the likely-Democrat Air Force staffer who released these files where the Dirt Farm misrepresents itself as entitled to the personnel files (which cannot be released with the affected individual's express consent), and the staffer pretends to believe this misrepresentation.

And maybe a small Research Stipend of $1000 is given to the staffer.

In an unprecedented breach, the Air Force improperly released to a research firm tied to Democrats' congressional campaign arm the confidential personnel files of eleven members of the military, including one involving a retired lieutenant colonel running for office as a Republican that detailed how she had been sexually assaulted in the Air Force, Congress has been told.

House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers and House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer are demanding that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin explain how he will prevent future breaches of military members' private information while pressing to know if there will be criminal prosecutions.

Let me clear that up for you: There will be no criminal prosecutions.

...

"The Office of the Secretary of the Air Force (OSAF) has informed the Committee that it released 11 individuals' records over a 14-month period from October 2021-December 2022 to a private research firm which allegedly misrepresented itself in order to obtain access to the personnel records without authorization or consent," Rogers and Comer wrote in a Feb. 13 letter to Austin.

The Air Force has already acknowledged having "inappropriately released" the official military personnel files (OMPF) "of former Republican Congressional candidate Jennifer-Ruth Green to the very same research firm, Due Diligence Group (DDG)," the lawmakers noted. "That disclosure served to revictimize a servicemember by releasing details about her sexual assault."

Congressmen Rogers and Comer's letter to SecDef Austin demands answers in addition to prosecutions.

They'll get neither and like it.

Prosecutions are for people "parading" in Congress.

The release of additional service members' personal information highlights "not only the inadequacy of procedures to secure military personnel files, but also raises concerning questions of possible illicit motive or political partisanship," Rogers and Comer wrote.

"This conduct by the Air Force is, at a minimum, unacceptable," they declared. "The conduct by the research firm is quite possibly criminal."

22 The reason that the government can't legally investigate a person in search of a crime, is that doing so is a conspiracy to oppress that person's liberty, and liberty is a Constitutional right (see the 5th amendment). Only in countries where people have no rights, like the former Soviet Union, can authorities say: "Show me the man, and I'll show you the crime." The entire Mueller investigation was an investigation of President Trump, in search of a crime, not an investigation of a crime in search of a criminal.

The more good people in the private sector, the weaker our ability to "project power" where it isn't needed or wanted by anyone but Congressional investors of the Military-Groomercrat-Industrial Complex.

And, maybe when power projection does happen, those turned to ground beef in the process are more likely to be state-worshippers. Win-win.

Putin is now running around with tactical nukes on his ships and I wouldn't be surprised if he's putting them on mobile launchers.

I can't shake the worry that he's determined to use them on the battlefield when he thinks his position is lost. And given the influx of German tanks and continued dumping of western weapons, I don't see how Putin doesn't end up using them.

I don't know if this triggers a nuclear response (I think it's unlikely) but it does create a massive possibility that we all end up eating cockroaches.

161 So Joe Biden's foreign policy can only be considered an absolute failure and likely to get us and NATO in a shooting war.

Russia borders the place, has vastly more resources to apply if it chooses (over time), and it's objectives (well, territorial ones) are limited and fairly easily attained. Their position has been improving, especially the last few months.

Russia isn't going anywhere, Ukraine if only due to disparity in size will never be a match or in a position to do much other than continue this slow-rolling slog we're seeing in the east - and that's if they can continue to have the world finance the entire thing. Without massive continuous external financial support, the Ukrainian state is bankrupt, nearly instantly. (cont)

I think Neil Postman's 'Amusing Ourselves to Death' and 'Technopoly' are very important nowadays. I'm not much on non-fiction, though Gladwell's 'Blink' has some important observations.

I think any great writer is probably working in genre fiction nowadays, no other way to make a living unless you sell a screenplay.

Movies are mostly trash but there are good films being made....just not by Disney or DC.

Monsters and Demons probably makes the most sense though.

It would be impossible in practice (and very expensive) for manufacturers and assemblers to test and certify every cotter pin, washer, rivet, screw, bolt, and piece of metal bought from vendors. The vendors are made responsible for certifying in writing that the parts and materials are per the applicable requirements. DCAS is tasked with keeping an eye on outside vendors, but there are only so many DCAS inspectors. Military and commercial aircraft outfits and NASA test random samples of small fasteners and the like. Small outfits are typically the ones cheating on the Government and outfits higher up the supply and manufacturing food chain. The owners know the inspection game rules and some cheat to make more money. A story as old as making the first bricks in Mesopotamia.

220 Russia in the years leading up to this under-invested in their military (for reasons), and was (perhaps kidding itself, but we see this all the time in the west) pursuing a "small, compact" army as a budget-friendly direction. And with echoes of 1941, were in the midst of re-organizing the ground forces, over-simplified, using "battalion tactical groups" as the flexible elements to be cobbled together for a particular contingencies. With the emphasis on - flexible defense.

Which as we just saw, when combined with kind of standard poor execution of such things in Russia, resulted in a clumsy botched attempt at a quick political solution.

"Losing" for Russia means status quo one year ago on Thursday. "Losing" for Ukraine means D & E independent/integrated into the RF, Crimea remaining Russian, and parts of two southern oblasts remaining under Russian control. The former is unlikely and leaves Moscow in position to resume festivities at will. The latter is 2/3 nearly certain, and Ukraine will have to somehow remain solvent and functional just to prevent Russian full grab of Kherson and Zaporozhe.

most derailments are trains going off the tracks when it's traveling at like 1 MPH (very slowly) so the derailment is not a major accident, just causes delays as workers have to realign the train back onto the tracks again. It's not a huge incident.

These however are major world stopping derailments happening at near regular frequency now.

We had to take malaria pills when I was in the Navy when we deployed to certain places. I can't remember how many times I had to take them, but it was close to a dozen IIRC. The pills we had on board ship were always out of date so they had to test them on a couple of guys to make sure they were still OK. The test was considered successful if the *subject* got diarrhea within 4-8 hours after taking the pill.

326 most derailments are trains going off the tracks when it's traveling at like 1 MPH (very slowly) so the derailment is not a major accident, just causes delays as workers have to realign the train back onto the tracks again. It's not a huge incident.

These however are major world stopping derailments happening at near regular frequency now.

==
To be fair you are both right. There are a lot of derailments every year, mostly low speed in rail yards, not a big deal. Also, when they do derail at high speed outside the yard, they often don't create massive fireballs and toxic clouds that traverse several states. the ones that have occurred since the Ohio one, have been more localized issues, of the typical derailment. THat said, there are environmental wackos running around trying to derail trains.

362 My friend has a fishing buddy who's in his late 80's. They were fishing this past weekend and the old guy said he regrets getting talked into getting the jab and 3 boosters. Says it doesn't matter how much he works out, lifts weights or exercises at all, he still has no energy, no strength and can't do much of anything.

One of the factors in the decline in the elderly is this: the liver is a creatine regulator, it is part of the feedback system that carefully regulates the level of creatine in the blood. As a person ages the liver loses some of its ability to generate creatine. Because cooking meat turns its creatine into its waste product creatinine, we have almost no external source of creatine in the diet.

When the body has no external source of creatine it is forced to produce its own. As the liver loses its ability to create creatine the body starts digesting its own muscle and organ tissue to create it. That is why old people waste away.

I take a supplemental tablet (1 grqm) of creatine per day to counter act that wasting process. I use 6star brand tablets from Walmart. 1 gram won't send you out of homeostasis, but it will take the load off the liver.

375 I still do not understand why they did not try to drain the tank cars into over the road tankers first and immediately went for sort of controlled destruction?

From what I've read there was already a massive fire going, so in order to prevent the tank cars from going BLEVE and wiping Ohio off the map, they went with a controlled burn. That's happened before, it's just everyone and their dog weren't carrying video cameras in their pockets.

Plus they told me if it spilled on the ground in Ohio it would take years to clean it up, but if I burned it the cloud would float over Pittsburgh. That's all I needed to hear.

378 As the #IRS seeks to bolster the ranks of its weapon-carrying unit, a former special agent described the inner workings of the division and said its key function is “to put the fear of God in people” and intimidate Americans into tax compliance." - Epoch Times

Of course, since we have a fiat currency, money is created out of thin air by the federal government. When the feds collect taxes that money goes into the same thin air it came out of in the first place. Since the IRS comes after if you don't pay your taxes people think the money has value, because the government wants it back so badly. That is the real function of the IRS. The money doesn't go into some federal bank account, it simply vanishes.

379 In the 1950s the CIA wanted to test LSD on unwitting subjects.

Prior to dosing California in the 1960s, they settled on Prison inmates. Mostly black, although plenty of privileged folks too advantage.

The way it worked, was by signing up for the program, the inmate would get a "credit" for their drug of choice. Usually heroin. They'd get shot right up at the redemption window.

They'd send you to a special wing of the prison, and feed you the drug and then observe. In a special incident that was revealed during the Church comittee hearings, a few inmates were kept tripping for 77 days, the dosages increased as reauired due to tolerance.

No word on what happened to those guys. Anyway, trading body organs for "Get Out of Jail" free cards seems almost quaint, by comparison. Should be quite profitable, and lucrative.

What's a kidney go for these days, anyway? After markup and insurance billing, ai bet it's astronomical
