Super-Woke Leftwing Head of the Scottish National Party Says That All Trans Women Are Women. But Also, Sometimes Trans Women Will Be Kept in a Male Prison.
Scotland, which is pretty much now just the Soviet Union Current Year America with kilts, is determined to take every stupid leftwing meme and club reality with it until reality gives up and adapts itself to leftist talking points.
So now Scotland won't be putting the r@pist transwoman fox into the real woman henhouse. But Scotland's First Minister and Woke Clownwhore head of the increasingly noxious Scottish National Party (noxious not because it's nationalist, but because it is Soviet on steroids) Nicola Sturgeon can't just bray "Trans women are women" any longer, because there are apparently some trans women who aren't women. The left is raking her over the coals for this, but everyone should rake her over the coals until she just admits that no, trans women are not really women. For God's sakes. Isn't that obvious?
After facing pressure to intervene in the transfer of a transgender convicted rapist to an all-women's prison, Scotland's government has decided to stop transferring such inmates with a history of violence against women to its all-female prison, according to reports. The Agence France-Presse, or AFP, reported the decision was made just days after a rapist was removed from the all-female prison. On Saturday, violent trans prisoner Tiffany Scott was granted permission to transfer to an all-women's Scottish prison after previous requests were rejected. Scott is known as one of the most violent inmates in the Scottish prison system, the Daily Record reported, and managed to stalk a 13-year-old girl while incarcerated under a former identity as Andrew Burns, by sending her repeated letters. While incarcerated, Scott has reportedly been involved in several violent attacks against guards, a female nurse and fellow inmates. She has also inflicted self-harm by attempting to hang herself after shredding "tear-proof" clothing and ripping an IV out of her arm. Scottish government officials also faced pressure to intervene in the transfer of Isla Branson, another convicted rapist, who was initially granted approval for an all-women's prison. The decision was later reversed. On Tuesday, Bryson was found guilty of raping two women in 2016 and 2019 while still known as Adam Graham. Before sentencing on Tuesday, Bryson had been transferred to an all-women's prison known as Cornton Vale. First Minister Nicola Sturgeon ordered that decision to be reversed on Thursday. The security issues surrounding incarnated prisoners and their gender identity has surfaced in the aftermath of a gender recognition bill that was passed in December by Scottish members of parliament. The bill was then blocked earlier this month by the U.K. government.
The interviewer tries to get Sturgeon to admit she doesn't really believe trans women are women, but Sturgeon insists they are, it's just that some dangerous trans women, who are women, can't be held in prison with women, for safety issues. But, the interviewer objects, you wouldn't move real women to a male prison just because they were dangerous and had attacked other women, would you? And the answer which Sturgeon won't give is, "No, of course not, real women wouldn't be put in a men's prison, because they're really women." Instead of speaking the obvious truth, she just keeps babbling contradictory parts of her deranged Book of Leftwing Dogmas, as her Evil Death Cult demands she does.

Has stuff like looks, rack, not overweight etc. The thing is, young dumb girls have much more quantifiable demands (height, money, etc) and that's a hell of a lot easier to calculate with demographics and census data. What guys want is more subjective, and tougher to really give percentages on.

Decile-wise I believe it's relatively well established that men consider women within two deciles below their relative attractiveness and all levels above. So if a guy has flat average looks, he'll consider the top 70% of women.
Everything else is just sanity and personal chemistry. Not like guys expect women to make the money. They just have to get along and she has to not be a total trainwreck.

Similarly, my father in law used to be a Democrat because he is a med-mal attorney and did not want tort reform / statutory limits on damages. Over time he has had to adopt more and more extreme liberal positions, I guess to avoid the cognitive dissonance of supporting a party that goes against traditional mores. Now he sounds like Whoopi Goldberg. I have witnessed this evolution over the past 20 years I have known him. Sad.

Yeah Dolores Umbridge was a terrific character, great creation. She's far more the villain than Voldemort. I mean, in her setting he's awful for violating all these wizard rules but in the books he really comes across as creepy but desperate to live, and not as horrible as she did.

I think the difference is that gays and lesbians know they've (until very recently) been part of a despised minority, and hence are particularly attuned to slights. I doubt many kids ever wound themselves up in knots thinking about how to tell their parents they're becoming Catholic.

This might be true, at least for anyone who's not "bi". But to bring this back to Rowling, that was apparently her limit. Not that she chose to be a lesbian but that she was assaulted at some point and the notion that physical men should be allowed in women's shelters was so obviously wrong. Even if they'd never hurt a fly the women traumatized by rape or abuse would hear male voices and know a man was in the house. It might not be fair to the trans-woman who also needed shelter but when someone has been raped and traumatized they are not required to be reasonable. They're damaged and hurt and must be protected.
And that was the line she wouldn't go over. She was (and is as far as I know) entirely supportive of transgendered people, wanting them to live however made them happy.
But you don't castigate a raped woman for finding the presence of a trans-woman traumatizing and you DON'T let rapists claim to be transgendered and house them in a women's prison.
Nor should we let men wag their weenies in women's locker rooms.

There have been a raft of confessions of old 70s-80s feminists saying that yes, they are unhappy with their lives without kids and a family, and realize that their own beliefs did it for them. Simply put, minorities that are submerged in a large homogeneous majority population tend not tolerate bad actors for fear that retribution from the majority will happen. As that majority dissolves, the dynamic becomes more how to advance your minority's interests against whatever societal opposition exists. That requires substantial cohesion so bad actors become tolerated lest the cause for that minority's interest become at risk.
Heterogeneous populations require much more coercion by government for public order than homogeneous populations if in proximity. Distance helps make the conflict less tolerable if significant self governing can occur.
