We're not rookies here, you know.

First you'll start with the belly rub, get our rear legs stretching out a bit, and then you move down toward the ribs with a bit of a scratching motion to induce the leg on that side to start trying to scratch, then move to the other side so that leg starts trying to scratch, and then you'll get both hands in action, trying for the rare double-leg scratching motion.

I had to look it up. I was curious. My brief foray into NM was to Carlsbad Caverns and that was it (I was TDY in El Paso). It was surrounded by desert, mountains and a truck stop. There were some homes nearby. Well trailers that looked like they housed serial killers and meth labs. Looked, uh, rustic. The racing was pretty good though. NASCAR driver Kyle Larson was racing there.

In order to get to the pub, which was the only place you could get food after 6 pm, you had to cut through a farmer's field, carefully avoiding the cow pies. Place was packed but maybe 3 cars outside because everyone cut through the field to get there and walking called for after a few hours at the pub.

So, this is one of those really weird things like "WTF is going on in my brain?" Yesterday , I'm laying in bed having just awoken from some dream (can never remember them anymore") and for some bizarre reason -- I mean I can't remember when I last heard a reference to it -- the phrase "In Bruges" pops into my mind. And I'm thinking ... isn't that an old movie or something and why did that term pop into my head.

I figure my subconscious is trying to tell me something, so I find and watch it online. Love Brendan Gleeson (originally seen in Braveheart as Wallace's big best friend and adjutant) and Colin Farrell was pretty good (as was Ralph Fiennes), with some pretty female characters. Started out interesting with good dialog and real LOL moments -- but became too dark for me, as well as predictable with the requisite number of deus ex machinas.

Anyway, had never heard of Bruges, Belgium with the old medieval parts dating back to the 11th century; scenery best part.

Hmmm, not quite that clear-cut. When you drop money into the collection basket, it belongs to the parish, less a diocesan tax. You also have an obligation to support your pastor.

You can add the USS Hartford and USS Georgia to the list.

Less than 50% of the ocean bottoms have been mapped, so on one hand, it's not surprising to run into something unknown. OTOH, AFAIK, the above 4 were preventable. Big Navy thought so, given the COs (at minimum) were relieved.

Nichols arrived at the hospital in critical condition and died three days later.

We are investigating a tip that 3 of the 5 officers in the Memphis PD beating of Tyre Nichols were members of the Vice Lords gang and under their direction.

Other gang directed beatings were reportedly found on their phones.

Recordings as proof of carrying out the beating.

According to our source, they somehow were hired because the standards have dropped since police departments have had a hard time hiring, due to BLM movement.

All of the cops involved had been with Memphis PD 2-5 years each, which coincides with the exodus of White cops and the city’s stated push to hire majority (exclusively) black officers.

Men are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed men to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even trannies who “pass” look uncanny and unnatural to a man. Your bone structure is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a drunk guy home with you, he’ll turn tail and bolt the second he gets a whiff of your diseased, infected axe wound...."

335 I had to look it up.

Serial killers and meth labs? Sounds about right for that neck of the woods.

Amd when you hit the Caverns, you got within about 28 miles of my front door...

Posted by: NaCly Dog (u82oZ) at January 30, 2023 09:53 PM (u82oZ)

"big servings of grains" aka scratch, which is corn and other seeds - apparently carbs = heat for chickens.

Also, as suggested by my neighbor, I sometimes feed them hot instant oatmeal late in the day. They love it!

That doesn't matter at all. What matters is making the connection between eggs and the blood clots. Once that's accomplished, they can move on. Because then it's clear where all of the blood clotting is coming from.

I gave our girls some scrambled eggs this afternoon. When i went out to close up the green house, I was surprised to see they didn't eat them all. They couldn't, because the scramble froze too quickly... brought the feed dish in to thaw out, they'll get the rest in the morning.
