I guess this is fake but how? Just a big realistic prop?

Moderate content warning: teen boy attempts jumping over a hay-roll rapidly rolling down a hill. He doesn't make the jump. It's not so much that it's super-violent, it's just the age of the kid may make people wince. I figure he's about 14 or 15.

A human learns to speak the language of her master.

This dog enjoys petting other dogs. He's a good boy.

A baby flying fox named Saffy.

The ultimate showdown: Husky vs. Parrot.

Pranking a husky by wearing a wolf costume with a realistic wolf mask with a jaw that opens and closes. This sounds like a really good way to get attacked by your husky.

Here's the fuller video. If the husky seems chill, that's because he's already used to a lot of nonsense.

You'll probably be confused regarding what's going on here, at least in the beginning. This is a road. It's completely flooded by what I guess is powerful snowmelt coming down the mountain in an unscheduled waterfall.

And an SUV or a Landrover or something is trying to drive on it.

This isn't your father's Matilda musical:

Actually that's the Matilda musical with the final song "Revolting Children" dubbed out in favor of Rob Zombie's "Dragula." Here's a longer version by a different guy.

7 I like how you get the impression that the folks driving over the flooded road with a plummet to their doom right there with the first loss of traction are doing it because they live in a 3rd world sh*thole where you just have to do that sort of thing and not because they're rich trust fund kids sponsored by Red Bull to go around the globe doing stupid stuff for internet points.

There were probably chickens and pigs in the cab with them.

11 That photo would be incredibly easy to fake, more so than most. My guess (if it's not real - and it could be) would be cool rainbow shot, and then the lightening lifted from a dark background and in photoshop layer "lighten only", voila. There's actual devices for cameras to capture lightning, you just point in the direction of the storm and let your toys do the rest.

22 Oh, and I've had 2 mandatory evacuations now. Missed the first one (cops and FD going door to door), wondered why there were so many FD walking up and down the street.

It did get kind of scary, I live next to the river and it was easily 15 feet higher, homes 3 doors down got water up to their doors. It's finally letting up, no rain forecast for a week. Hoo-fucking-ray. Between that and the power going out every other day for hours at a time, I'm done. Now they've got to figure out how the horrible CA draught turned into global warming floods. And just think, if we'd have built any new reservoirs in the past half century (population has quadrupled), we might actually have enough water to last us. But whining about climate change while taxing the fuck out of us and giving us rolling blackouts is so much more fun.

The guy's channel is named My Mountain Husky, so that's probably where the confusion comes from. He's done a hundred videos pranking his dogs, which are 99% of the time completely on to whatever he's trying to pull. A costume doesn't matter to the dogs, who can smell him before he even shows up. I think his other dog is a husky.

45 Geologists can regale the cretinous CA "leaders" (and most of the residents) with explanations of how the record shows 50, 100, and 500-year droughts - and that's just in recent (geological) history. And of course the ecology clearly indicates adaptation to drought as the main driver, and that implies a very long period of predominantly drought-like conditions (long in natural terms, not ridiculous meaningless human or human Scientific Era terms).

But of course with the return to medieval society and mentalities, this is unsurprising.

Drachinifel has a newer video on the Royal Navy's experimental flattop from the Great War, HMS Argus.

It seems the Royal Navy was planning if the war had dragged on into 1919 to build a carrier striking force to attack the Imperial German Navy at Kiel.

Which would have predated Taranto and Pearl Harbor by a few decades.

Oh those dogs are huskies, I meant the one with the parakeet I'm 99% certain is a malamute. Theyre distinguished by having a much bigger more muscular build, a fluffier, hairier appearance, and a more rounded fatter face with a slightly shorter snout. Differences between malamutes and huskies are somewhat somewhat akin to the differences between wolves and coyotes.

I used to work at a property management company. An elderly busybody called to complain that the squad had been idling outside her home at three in the morning, for hours, and she wanted me to call them and tell them not to.

I took the high road and told her if she had an emergency herself, I hoped the squad would be there for as long as she needed.

I had a similar experience except it was a proper 2-lane road, with almost a vertical wall going up on one side and a sheer drop of 100s to 1000s of feet on the other. 175 Utah and Colorado has some seriously disturbing "roads" if you're a flatlander. Schaefer Trail is a good one. Colorado has Black Canyon or something like that. Bad Day if you roll on that one.

There's a road going out of Moab into the La Sals, nice and twisty turny. I went up one spring in my 4WD, good brakes, tires fair. As I gained elevation it got colder of course. Summer like temperatures gave way to spring like temps. Then I went around a switch back to a north facing slope and it was like Winter. All the trees are absolutely frost encrusted, ice everywhere. Road is pure ice skating rink. I stop. Put the brake on. Smoke a cigarette. Oh F&@$!!

Pucker factor high. I can see for a gazillion miles, and I imagine my truck sliding off the mountain and rolling. Have you ever turned around on a narrow two lane on ice? I moved about 2 millimeters at a time, turn wheel 3 millimeters. Etc. After about 15 minutes got turned around and headed back down.

Everything you mentioned is related. Ukraine was at the heart of the entire Russia collusion hoax.

The permanent government in DC ran the coup in Ukraine in 2014. This might sound like old news here but almost nobody in the country knows this. They have no idea what the deep state and the uniparty has really been doing and those who have even heard snippets of it think it's a crazy right wing conspiracy theory. It's not. All of this stuff is connected to keep the country in the dark about what's really been going on.

Joe is an idiot and a loose thread they can't afford to have pulled.

222 Apologies if this was covered, I've had less than great internet connection lately and found it amusing. Interesting after effects from the Golden Globes awards, perhaps the ultimate in pointless, arbitrary hand-me-a-trophy Hollyweird cultural masturbation:

1. Our heavily vaxxed, boosted, and proud of it infotainment overlords just put on a board certified Super Spreader Event. Oooops. I try not to poke fun at other people's medical misfortune, but after years of constant harassment over the thoughtcrime of mistrusting the same people that gave us Iraqi WMDs and AIDS hysteria all I got to say is: where is your science god now?

2. Ratings were so bad that NBC wants to dump the program. Go woke, go broke fellas. Even mainline entertainment reporters can't ignore how boring and lecture-y it was, or the lack of drunken hijinks that used to be the show's one redeeming grace.

Ever cut the cover off of one of the old fashioned (1960s?) golf balls? The ones with the gutta-percha core, and windings of about a thousand rubber bands between the core and the cover?

Releases the compression on all those rubber bands, and they *explode!* off of the core, with enough force to really sting, and litter a full living room with rubber scraps from corner to corner.

Graphic to illustrate what I want to see when "the string is pulled" on this admin and the deep state as a whole. Let it all unwind. Let's get it on. Let's get it all over with! *pops popcorn*

274 I was using butter in my shrimp Alfredo, until tonight. Because that's when I realized cooking the garlic and shallot in the grease from the bacon I'll now use forever was just fine. And then in comes the wine, and then the shrimp.

279 Utah and Colorado has some seriously disturbing "roads" if you're a flatlander. Schaefer Trail is a good one. Colorado has Black Canyon or something like that. Bad Day if you roll on that one.

And Red Mtn Pass is no slouch.

282 On the other hand, even to non sportsball guys like me it's pretty obvious that football is Tom Brady's singular obsession and, like 70+ year old rockerboys and politicians I question whether he would ever willingly part with it.
Posted by: CppThis at January 16, 2023 09:46 PM (PZvjL)

He has taken a team with a losing record to the playoffs and his play so far reflects that. He may not want to part with it, but football will certainly part with him.

@stillgray
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee has introduced a House Bill to criminalize "conspiracy to commit white supremacy," which includes any criticism of non-white people that influences (such as something published or said online) someone who commits a hate crime.

I wonder if this is recursive. What if you post some criticism of a non-white person that influences someone else to post some criticism of non-white people? Etc.

Not an ant. A big underwater version of a pill bug, woodlouse, roly-poly, or whatever they're called in your neck of the woods.

And they do eat them. Whole. In Japan, of course.

303 DU is indicating Social Security is going to be the next big topic...I'm sure Joe will be happy to shift focus! Especially to the topic of giving more money away!

The increases to Social Security based on percentages is cruelE I got a 79 dollar increase while some of you got up to 500 dollar increase. The food and shelter I must buy increases much more than a percentage. Each percentage increase for those who received 500 dollars or near that increases the next amount they will get...screw the poor and low income.

SS increases should be the same for everyone give EVERYONE same amount regardless!!!

People also need to start saving early when they are young, and unfortunately that should be taught in schools

When one cannot earn enough to pay shelter and food saving is a joke. That is something high income individuals have no conception of so that is not a solution for many. SS has actually become basic income fro many retirees and we need to understand that going forward and increase SS benefits for the lowest/poorest!!!
