Polar bear asks human for help getting its tongue unstuck from a can.

This caracal has a massive vertical leap.

Monkey Black Friday.

Who dares, eats.

Rain coming yard-by-yard down a road.

Good camouflage on a weird bird. I think this is the tawny frogmouth bird, which keeps making appearances in the cafe. It's been called the "most instagrammable" bird species.

Just a cool sloth, cruising around on his motorboat...

Building a snow-house out of snow-bricks, with multiple stories and windows.

A series of small calamities.

A good, but incompetent, Samaritan.

Spoiler: He doesn't die.

8 Saw an interesting “demonstration” of caracal capabilities at the SD Wild Animal Park a few years back. Curators used some bird-like decoy on a long pole to “fly” over the cat. Kitty jumped 5 or 6 feet vertical, effortlessly. Could play for the Cuban Olympic volleyball team. Think they said the cat could knock down up to 10 birds with well-timed leap.

Agreed.

There is an actual weapon called a "footbow," but it's used with both feet on the bow and both hands on the bowstring. So it's not nearly as sexy.

I see they are talking about Lisa Marie's drug abuse, cocaine in particular. That can damage the heart.

Back in the '90s, there were two cases of SADS as it were related to my local circle of friends and people. Heart attacks -- both found dead. They were both heavy cocaine users in their youth. One was in his mid-40s, the other was in his mid 50s.

So that happens. And that could be the main thing with Lisa Marie. But, we are seeing a very statistically improbable increase in the SADS.

Start with a compromised heart, add another cardio-toxin, and they compound.

261 I heard a rumble in my basement, so I went to check it out. It turns out a tower of boxes fell over.

One of them was really old, from three moves ago. It had some fun stuff in it. A bunch of copper coins, some Roman ones, and an oaken box I made with my dad, where he taught me dovetail joints. My older brother vandalized it by scrawling "R" Wuz Here on the underside of the lid.

The second broken box was newer and had a bunch of ammo in it that I forgot after this move, but it's only six months, so it's fine.

The third box was intact, so I left it alone. Hopefully it explodes sometime soon and reveals more treasures.
