Those are upright fins. Ain't no whale. A friend of mine lives in Hawaii, and one of his surfing buddies works for a telecom company there. They were laying lines off of Molokai, and had this ginormous cable hanging onto the lines (forget exactly how he described the way it worked). Suddenly, it went slack. Something had bitten through it about a half-mile down. There was nothing but water at that depth.

once, I doubled 2 large bags, not pro but big and I was pretty young

one guy burns one off the tee, into the creek/river

I look over the edge and boom, fell 20 feet into the water, bags and all

i have to say, the guys were pretty nice about it

I don't know about elsewhere, but when I was at Trader Joe's in Pacific Grove CA last week, freaking free-range brown jumbo eggs were $9/doz. I think tiny white shriveled up ones were less, but not by much. I got spoiled when I'd get eggs from the in-laws fresh out of the chicken's butt, so all store eggs are awful by comparison.

Maybe time to check the HOA/CC&R's here and see if I can get away with support/therapy chickens. It is California after all.

I was at Truman Lake Dam one day and on the back side of the dam, gar were driving the bass into the dam and then swimming through the bass and grabbing one. These were good size bass and bigger gar.

214 There is nothing wrong with the Amtrak Auto Train. It is mechanically sound. It was stopped on its normal route because of a derailment farther down the line. Sooooo, management decided to reroute it; forgetting that the crew would time out. Soooo, it sat still on its reroute for more than 20 hours while management figured out how to get a replacement crew to the train.

P.S. The rules allow for timed out crew to move the train to safe location. Soooo, management could have moved the train a few miles to a town and let the passengers off.

373 Well, time for me to hit the showers. I spent the whole afternoon busting tires off rims, and fixing the flats, and mounting them again. All by hand. The parts Jeep now sits on 4 tires that are holding air, and I pulled the one flat wheel off a Studebaker, busted off the blown tire, which was a beeyotch, and cleaned up the rim and mounted another kind of questionable tire on it. I bought a manual bead breaker at the Coolidge swap meet on Sunday, went to use it, and the handle broke. The nice gray hammertone paint hid a really shitty weld. So ground it clean, and welded on a larger piece of pipe for a handle. Now it works well. I just saved myself about $125 in tire shop charges.
