The Morning Report — 12/16/22

rightswhitesbush.jpg

Good morning kids. The weekend is here and honestly, I am loathe to even cover Donald Trump's "big announcement" from yesterday. Whether you believe he jumped the shark or, as Andrea Widburg notes it's a clever way to fundraise in a way that allows donors to remain anonymous and not get doxxed, the optics IMHO are, to be charitable, suboptimal. With all that said, I find it rather amusing that on the one hand, Chuck "Schemer" Schumer is crowing about the fact that the American people are supposedly done with Trump and he'll never be elected in '24 (it's probably because the Democrats have so utterly rigged elections in key swing states and districts that they will undoubtedly come out on top, barring the GOP suddenly waking up, mobilizing and playing the Democrats' game), and yet you still have them trying to pass legislation outlawing him from running.

The bottom line is, as bad a condition as the nation was in in the waning days of the Obama Reign of Error, six years on, we are living in a waking nightmare. And yet again, this playing card thing just sucks the oxygen out of the room. Donald Trump's achievements – the greatest being the exposure of the Deep State and the myth of the American two-party system – will put him in the pantheon of America's greatest heroes and presidents. But this kind of thing, on top of the huge mistake of basing his campaign almost exclusively on redressing the theft of the 2020 election, is a turn-off. If he had made his plan to fight and end Leftist censorship the subject of his big announcement he could've gotten back on track. But he stepped on his own dick with the playing card idiocy. That was an unforced error for which he only has himself to blame. Unless and until he stops bitching about 2020 and starts attacking Biden and his handlers for the wanton destruction of the nation, after at least observing a prolonged period of absolute radio silence until well into the new year, I think he's finished, if he isn't already.

In mentioning the dismantling, destruction and dissolution of our society, arguably the "root cause" of all our troubles is in the classroom. Yes, we are well aware of the brainwashing and sexualization. But it's a lot deeper, darker and more depressing than even that.

In 2017 then-President Donald Trump proposed cutting State Department spending by some $54 billion.  In response, Trump’s Secretary of Defense James Mattias told Congress, “If you don’t fund the State Department fully, then I need to buy more ammunition.”  General Mattias, a man who had devoted his life to waging all-out war, was warning us that short-changing diplomacy would result in more war.  I make my living as a substitute teacher, and in the spirit of Mad Dog’s remarks my recommendations for public education in this country are as follows:  Either we need to re-build our public educational system, virtually from scratch, or we need to build a lot more prisons because, from what I can see, aimless lives of misery, poverty, despair, substance abuse, crime, and imprisonment are what American public schools are preparing our kids for today.

When people ask me what I would do to fix education in this country, my answer is as follows:  I would burn every school in America to the ground, I would fire every schoolteacher in America, and I would start over from scratch.  This might strike some as being a bit extreme, but the problems with our schools are so systemic, to use a word that’s in vogue these days, that I believe my proposal has a lot of merit. . .

. . . I recently sat in while a substitute teacher I’m friendly with supposedly conducted a math class.  Meaning, he recited the regular teacher’s lesson plan for the day in a robotic monotone, then half-heartedly suggested that the students get to work, but no biggie.  This listless attempt at teaching I saw had the air about it of a final, sparsely-attended pitch session at a trade show in the Dayton, Ohio Holiday Inn.  Everyone in that room, myself included, was just waiting for the bell to ring.  My heart ached for those students, as difficult as some of them can sometimes be.  One thing’s for sure:  the taxpayers didn’t get their money’s worth that day.  To paraphrase that old joke about working in the Soviet Union, substitute teachers pretend to teach the kids, and the kids pretend to learn. . .

. . . Education worked well in this country when schools were being run by teachers and, by proxy, parents.  Today’s public schools are being run by the students.  This Bizarro-World arrangement has created a kind of educational mass insanity with an almost unlimited budget.  While most children are blessed with a healthy curiosity about themselves and the world, most are also disinclined to do the hard work required to actually master various subjects.  Schools used to be places where well-behaved children were guided through the world of knowledge by adults.  Expectations were high.  Assignments were graded rigorously.  Deadlines weren’t simply suggestions, they were honored.  Tests were demanding and carefully designed to measure each student’s progress. The smartest, hardest working students went on to become doctors and lawyers and scientists, or at least married well.  The rest left school with minimally a working knowledge of the English language, basic arithmetic, a little U.S. history, and having read The Outsiders. . .

. . . Today that system has been turned on its head.  Students once behaved because they lived in fear of having a teacher call their parents.  Today, teachers live in fear of having a parent call them, demanding to know why their Wyatt didn’t get an ‘A’ just because he failed every test and didn’t turn in any assignments.

And now a word about discipline and classroom order in my school:  there isn’t any.   About 30% of students at my school will never do any schoolwork, of any kind, no matter what you say or do to them.  Some of these non-participants devote their entire days to being disruptive and defiant.  Others simply stare silently into space until the day’s last bell rings.  Another 30% of students are studious and well-behaved.  They are in school to learn.  A disproportionate percentage of these students were not born in the U.S. and do not speak English in their homes.  The remaining 40% of my students are up for grabs. . .

. . . In terms of academics the curriculum at the middle school where I teach is about 80% (1) social justice (slavery, Jim Crow, and intractable white racism) and (2) climate change.  The remaining 20% of classroom time is devoted to a variety of miscellaneous topics.  In other words, it’s remarkably similar, both stylistically and in terms of content, to a typical day’s programming on National Public Radio.

Thanks to my generation, the Baby Boomers, public schools have become places whose main purposes are (1) providing a daily dose of progressive indoctrination, and (2) the endless pursuit of a strangely concocted version of self-esteem.  Someone forgot to tell us that for it to be genuine self-esteem must be earned, not conferred like that phony diploma the Wizard of Oz gave the Scarecrow.

It's a very long and painful read yet I think it's vital because when you read the author's experience, you then can get a sense of all the other madness that is going on around us and why a pervert drag queen who extolls the virtues of children singing and performing fellatio was an honored guest at the White House.

My parents of blessed memory were teachers who started their careers in the 60's and saw this crap coming even then. No doubt, Mike Pompeo's calling Randi Weingarten the most dangerous person in America was a political move on his part, but at the same time he was dead right. With so many fires to put out, assuming that we ever regain political power again and with politicians and a political party that doesn't hate us, if there was just one area to focus in and declare all out war on, it would be academia.

As the evil bastards of the Left would say, "If it saves just one child . . . "

See you on the hobby thread tomorrow, BOLO for the next podcast later today, and have a good weekend.

I understand that current programming has made many people keep reciting this mantra, but it is the only issue that matters -FIXING THE DAMNED ELECTION SYSTEM

Y'all can have your group onanism about borders, inflation and everything else but NONE OF THAT MATTERS when you can't even get some nominal Republican into office because it will be denied them through an elaborate nation-wide fraud scheme.

I don't care if it is Trump or our Returning LORD Jesus Christ who talks about election fraud - when we hand wave stolen elections away, you might as well slip your hands into the chains when you are done.

Even in a mundane sense, this is true. If you live like a criminal, life isn't easy. If you live within the rules, there are still challenges, but you don't have to be looking over your shoulder every day. The hitch is having someone Good to make the rules so that following them isn't itself oppressive. If those are the rules of the universe, the rules of humanity, then every facet of life is going to be easier, or at least smoother, by following them as best you can and making amends when you can't (or simply don't). Following the rules really can bring you freedom, so long as they are good rules.

34 “The commandments prove that God wants mankind to be free: ‘I am the Lord your God who took you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.’

Its Right There in Exodus 20, but the literal language is for the contemporary Hebrews who fled Egypt into the Wilderness. It would take some symbolism and metaphorical reinterpretation to render "who too you out of land of Egypt" to mean everyone head-for-head in all times, ages and cultures.

The Christian church looks to Matthew 5 where a selection of the commandments are explained to be understood not as simple externalities, but internal thoughts and desires.

The point, as in the Law, was to show that none of us could uphold it and thus point to The Cross.

This is a false construction. It is not either/or, it's and.

The education system as a whole needs to be destroyed. The federal Dept. of Ed has to be destroyed. Every school district in the country needs to be liquidated. The existing teacher colleges need to be disaccredited and shuttered. Every curriculum since about 1960 needs to be burned.

But the damage is done. We now have 1.5 generations (the Millennials and about half the Zoomers so far) who were brought up entirely within that system. Burning the system down - righteous and necessary as it is to do so - will not fix that problem.

71 This trading card thing is a not-so-cleverly disguised scam to pocket some grift. Had the "red wave" actually occurred Trump might have been forgiven for this stunt.

I really do have to wonder about his judgement these days. And the quality of the advisors and staff. Like the dinner party with "Ye" and the fallout from that it appears Trump hasn't found good help or better judgement.

80 How is "I made and thing and i'm selling it and you voluntarily buy it with your own money" a grift? It may be frivolous, or unwise on the purchaser's part, or politically bad "optics", but grift?

How is selling a thing "grifting"? Where's the third party? Where's the money appropriated under false or misleading pretenses? Where's any part of this that matches any working definition of what "grifting" is?

Don't do what the left does, and just use words because they sound neat.

Over the last 2 years Trump squandered much time on his endless election bitching tour which served his political enemies well. They painted him an unfit, unhinged, insurrectionist and I can only imagine that this entrenched this perspective in the minds of marginal voters he will need if he is to be successful in 2024. These trading cards exacerbated his ongoing perception problems, by adding to the recent lie that his is an antisemite for having a meal with Kanye, that he is an unserious clown. He had a chance to reset his message without sacrificing one iota of those skills that make him an effective national CEO. I am resisting tossing in the towel on him, but time is running out and may have already run out for him to get on message. The need to get the Democrats out of the White House in 2024 is beyond essential and if that means Trump needs to go, so be it.

It is damn near impossible to asses how they are doing (except by grades shown on-line) or what they are being taught with making a huge effort again and again. Worse, classroom written tests are not sent home because, get this, the teachers use the exact same test every year and don't want it to get out.

96 "Schools used to be places where well-behaved children were guided through the world of knowledge by adults. Expectations were high. Assignments were graded rigorously. Deadlines weren’t simply suggestions, they were honored. Tests were demanding and carefully designed to measure each student’s progress."

I teach adults in a technical field and have had to turn back the clock on a lot of this nonsense. The odd thing to straight line thinking is that the students hated that type of learning. They would much prefer the challenging stuff and insisting on the students paying attention and participating. It takes effort from the instructor, but it's worlds different between the meandering blabbering on facts and teaching the students. They gripe and complain, but walk out of the class with their head up and energized.

By the way, it wasn't the students that turned the classroom on its head, it was lazy, apathetic unions and their doctrine of don't give an inch without compensation.

There are many prerequisites. The elections systems need to be repaired but even if they are, nothing will change so long as the GOP remains part of the Uniparty. I agree with this, it was silly, but it's Trump, he does silly things sometimes. I don't get it how is this any different then some of the other things he's done that have been annoying. In my opinion, if Trump doesn't get the nomination, there isn't another GOP that can win (in a fair election). Trump won the first time because he brought a bunch of people who never voted, or voted democrat, to the polls. These people will just sit it out. They have successfully worn people down, they are tired of voting and having it not count. And I don't think he should move on from talking about the fraud, it's important, it's the most important thing because nothing will change if we don't acknowledge the cheating and fix it.

Generally, there aren't many requirements to be a sub... any bachelor's degree used to be good enough here (not sure if it still is). It didn't even have to be in the area supposedly being taught. B.S. in math? You're qualified to sub in Latin class.

The only real requirement is the ability to spend eight hours in a classroom full of junior high kids without going batshit crazy.

This sounds hauntingly familiar. When I was kicked out, I was in the 5th grade. The next year was middle school. I was sort of keeping up in the regular math class. The next door homeroom teacher sat me down and recruited me to her advanced math class. She played it straight. She said, "if you come to my class, you *will* catch up. It's going to be hard. You'll probably hate it. I think it's the right thing to do, because I think you're smart enough to do it if you put the work in."

That was a *rough* semester and a half. But she was right. It worked. I caught up.

Reagan, in the 1960s, would air on the radio editorials and essays he wrote. It was there he work out his political philosophy and began to establish who he would be later. Those essays are excellent. Trump, when he isn't screwing around, can communicate like that and has a fluid understanding of what he believes. 178 I think there is a psychological component to the whole NFT deal. Some people are feeling embarrassed that they supported Trump and so every decision that he makes or has made in the past is up for criticism. Sort of like an ex spouse or girlfriend/boyfriend. At the same time, some folks are falling in love again with a new candidate but not doing the hard work necessary to ensure elections are fair and true in their state. Without that, even the best candidate will lose.

But, of more consequence, the GOP are joining with the Dems in the Senate to effectively neuter the new GOP House and as Rand Paul mentions, forty Republicans can effectively stop this in its tracks and reduce spending to boot.

But, due to Bitch Mitch, they won't do that and to some extent, that explains Trump's attitude toward Kevin. He knows Kevin is weak but Kevin can be prodded to do the right thing--Mitch can't and won't do that because it would be the end of Mitch as leader. He is covering for his Dems in GOP clothing and his Chamber of Commerce buddies.

The public schools are a mess but the Catholic Schools plod on with the same lesson plans they've had for decades. Catholic schools once closed are now reopening, waiting lists exist, and it doesn't matter how much money you make, you go on the list.

School choice is the answer, and like fusion, always a decade away.
Posted by: Divide by Zero at December 16, 2022 08:11 AM (enJYY)

This isn't a universal truth.
Many of the catholic schools near me stopped teaching phonics and jumped on the reading fads that have caused countless failures in the past decade.
It's part of why my wife chose to homeschool.
There is good news, people in the neighborhood that though it odd that we decided to homeschool have started to ask her about curriculum, and now 2 of the catholic elementary schools near us are dumping their reading curriculum this year and will implement a phonics based curriculum next year...
I'm very proud of her, but I also give credit to the other moms in the area who while initially thinking we were odd seem to be coming around. No matter how it happened, it might end up helping kids, which is a noble effort.

Sounds like the perfect Uniparty functionary! Useless, grifting and expensive.

Sadly, PDJT supports her whole-heartedly. Along with Kevin Luntz-McCarthy. Karl Rove also agrees, so the few remaining Bushies are in support. A unified Republican Party.

Reagan, in the 1960s, would air on the radio editorials and essays he wrote. It was there he work out his political philosophy and began to establish who he would be later. Those essays are excellent. Trump, when he isn't screwing around, can communicate like that and has a fluid understanding of what he believes. When he does that, he connects which the public at a deep level. I am hoping he spends a lot more time being that Trump and a lot less time doing the shake your head stuff.

Reagan was also hired by GE to visit differing locations and give speeches to their employees. My next door neighbor had the opportunity to listen to him in person and convinced me that Reagan was the 'real deal'. Trump could be that kind of person with the right assistance. A positive uplifting message.

It's a goldendoodle more or less rescue, 9 weeks.

Young lady, early twenties, decided she wanted a doggie and paid $800 for this one to come live in an apartment... Yeah, not so much. That lasted a week and she begged her mother to take it. Mother did but their two elderly dogs didn't like the puppy. So I got her. Very very pretty dog, very smart. Taught her to walk up and down the stairs last night. Although she's very young to learn how to read she's working on sounding out her letters. Consistently uses puppy pads at the back door if I don't get there fast enough. Has already infuriated the cat.

There has been an obvious and dramatic turn against Trump in recent months here at the HQ. I'm not talking about Ace or any of the cobs here in particular, but there is a large group of upper tier conservatives on Twitter who have turned virulently against Trump. There is a rumor (that I cannot substantiate) that they are paid members of the DeSantis team now. The only thing I can offer to corroborate this claim is a picture of 10-12 of them taken this past summer when they met with DeSantis in FL. This also is around the same time that DeSantis started coordinating with McConnell and McCarthy who, along with some of their PACs, have been financing and promoting DeSantis.

No, not really. But what you might be doing is extending your take on something to be universal for everyone. There is a tendency among those immersed in politics to see things and implications that the crowds basically ignore and they tend to have a hive mind regarding what is important, what is bad, and what is good. Requiring a quick take on something makes it worse because the reaction cannot be based on anything other than gut feeling instead of facts. The hardest thing for pundits to admit is "I don't know" how something is going to play out but that is always an important caveat to any snap evaluation.

Apparently those that wanted to see his 1A speech can do so and are doing so--media was not going to cover it either way. Those that wanted to buy the NFT (and studies show those little 'gifts' make the donor feel better) did so to the extent of selling out. I'm not a fan of NFT's but it kind of makes sense to use them as an election fund raising mechanism for small donors--especially if you can give anonymity.

Good so far but he has not been tested like Trump. I think the real story of FL is the Cubans turning Miami into a great place to live. I am sure the Cubans supported DeSantis but the point is the Cuban testosterone and drive for civilization may be the game changer in FL. Cubans know how to handle blacks.
Posted by: Puddinhead at December 16, 2022 08:56 AM (8Sqzu

The reason you didn’t hear about DeSantis in Congress is because he was not GOPe. No different than any other member of the Freedom Caucus. And Cubans have been in Miami for generations, why the sudden flip?

We feel very, very lucky to have a good buyer for our old place. We close in a few weeks. Even though the place is in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in that area, the market is at a dead stop, and has been, for a month or two. Nothing else is moving. Certainly, it being Christmastime isn't helping but that isn't the problem. Economic uncertainty - even for folks with money, that's the issue.

Trump gets all the credit for every good. None of the credit for any bad. It's always someone else's fault when things go wrong.

Meanwhile, Desantis doesn't get credit for how good things are going in Florida. Florida was purple up until a decade ago. Trump started it, but Desantis has turned Florida flaming red. He does it calmly and professionally without the drama and he works with others and stays in the lanes of the legal system without having to be roped back in. Biden was immensely unpopular during the 2020 campaign. As proven by tens of people showing up to his rallies and tens of thousands to Trump's. Yet, that didn't matter, because the voting system in this country is rigged and the elections are stolen.

339 >>Except...he was immensely unpopular in October, and yet the referendum on his first two years was a resounding..."yeah, whatever."

Do you really believe that? I know it gets tedious talking about the slanted playing table we have been dealing with not just in elections but in actual news and information but I think the overwhelming advantage it gives Democrats skews how we view election results. Certainly leftists believe it does because look at how they are wailing over losing control of Twitter.

SBF gave Democrats 10s of millions in illegal campaign contributions. He gave Biden $40 million in 2020 alone. How do we calculate how that translates into votes? How do calculate the billions in free advertising and promotion the left gets from the media and social media? How do gauge what would have happened had the truth about the Biden family corruption been accurately reported instead of covered up and lied about by even the intel community?

I don't think the left would win anywhere outside coastal enclaves without the enormous advantages they have in media, illegal money and vote rigging. That's where the fight is and Musk is a great first step.

370 A SUBSTITUTE teacher recommends burning down the school system... based on substitute plans, the way kids (mis)behave for substitute teachers, and the federally mandated inclusion of kids with special needs.

Substitute plans are written with the assumption that, barring a miracle, the adult who shows up 1) isn't much brighter than the lowest-functioning child in the class and 2) is there to collect a paycheck and/or hang out with kids. (Yes. Some really are that creepy.)

Kids will try to get away with things when the usual adults are away, particularly if the sub or babysitter lacks supervisory skills.

Federal law says that all students have a right to be educated in the least-restrictive environment. That includes kids who "just refuse to their work" (which happens a lot with autistic or emotionally-impaired children - but a substitute wouldn't necessarily know what spurred the child's accommodations). Even if we "burn it all down," but whatever we build is going to have to deal with that law. Good luck!

Posted by: Reuben Hick at December 16, 2022 09:14 AM

Exactly. Anyone who refuses to fix the completely corrupt and broken voting system in this country is not serious about ever again winning an election.

And the only way to do that is to "relitigate" both the 2020 and 2022 elections. Wanting to brush that under the rug means you allow the Deep State (Democrats and GOPe) and WEF to get away with the biggest scandal in American history. The complete takeover of the American voting system leading to the complete rigging and steal of a Presidential election (and numerous down ticket elections). And it means we will never have free and fair elections again.

390 Database latency — a geeky term, but that’s how they did it!

A policeman pulls over a speeder. The police computer reports that three hours ago a similar vehicle and person held up a liquor store — so the police are on alert.

No database latency.

County election managers change the zip code of 31,000 voters on September 3. Ballots go out that week. Those 31,000 are undeliverable. Someone collects those valid ballots. On September 15th, those addresses are quietly changed back.

National Change of Address Database (NCOA) will not pick up those address changes. They didn’t happen because there is no history.

The 31,000 citizens were getting their mail just fine — except for ballots. Ballot addresses were driven by the county mail-in ballot database — the one that was changed, then changed back.

Now do that across 10 or 12 counties in swings state and TA DA Uncle Joe!

American troops have to fire them, because of the long training required, so American troops are officially and openly going to be firing live weapons in the Ukraine war with Russia.

That's another feather in the Junta cap; destroying America wasn't enough, now they want to start a nuclear war with Russia.

You can't fix anything until you fix elections. And you can't fix elections until a critical mass of the populace internalizes that elections actually are being stolen at all levels.

Before doing literally anything else, you have to "relitigate" the 2020 election. You don't have to prove Biden won because he cheated. You don't have to prove Trump "actually" won. You just have to prove that we have no idea who actually won, and we never will again going forward, because the system is broken to the point where the actual number of votes cast makes no difference to the outcome. What that outcome may be is irrelevant. The process is busted.

A stolen election is stolen from everyone, not just the losers.

Strictly speaking the state legislatures and governors would need to step up to fix the issue.

Yes, drawing attention to an issue doesn't necessarily do that much to fix it, but it is what can be done by people not in a position to do more.

The answer to why Trump doesn't fix problems he has no power to fix is usually that he has no power to fix them.

The idea of perpetually moving on prevents knowledge and rectification of mistakes in the future. Until your folks realize nothing matters except fixing elections in their state and others, the 2024 election is literally pointless because the GOP could run Jesus and he would still lose.

What I am trying and failing to do apparently is that people evaluate politics differently and this far out the newer shiny thing always looks better than the old thing. Perceptions are fickle among those with more information but general public evaluates things differently. Trump's biggest achilles heel in my opinion is Covid and his reaction to it. DeSantis is somewhat shielded from it. DeSantis though has the donor issue and his donors like Ken Griffin are going to have to be confronted or DeSantis becomes just like every other GOPe because corporatism and what is good for hedge funds will not play in 2024. And many of those donors don't care if the border is fixed, our mfg is gone, crime and education sux, and our national security is shit.

Pixy covers them in the overnight thread as apparently some of his job requires dealing with them. Essentially, it is a virtual representation that is supposedly verified and limited in production so as to retain value and not be a fake.

No different than a virtual print/etching with a limited production. But, just like selling mugs, tshirts, and so on, or giving them as a perk, it tends to open the wallet again if people can support something and at the same time get a thank you gift.

If the NFT sold out as has been reported, then the Trump kerfluffle over issuing it looks a bit foolish in hindsight. In fact, it may have drawn more attention to his substantive First Amendment speech where he outlined a practical program to ensure online free speech among other things.

My second thoughts about Trump running again start with his age, and his harping on undoing the 2020 election. Then, I am shaken everyday by his lack of support for the political prisoner persecutions going on Washington.

But the real acid test was his GOP leadership failing completely to prepare for the 2022 re-cheats. Moreover, he continues to support the leaders of that election failure. Now all we hear about are "they cheated!" after the fact, and those elections are gone. Lost.

We failed to beat the worst performing president in history in these midterms. Supporting the same crowd in 2024 is a ridiculous idea.

More like, we cannot win if the GOP does not nationally lead a movement to make elections honest. The fact that they have not done so and continue to claim these elections are legitimate leads to the conclusion that they support election fraud. Why is a conjecture but the basic facts are that the GOP does not want elections investigated and the GOP power structures in states like Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania absolutely refused to go to the mat. In other states, brave people like the County Elections person in Colorado or in other locales provided strong evidence of fraud and are being threatened with jail for it.

So, the Gay Ole Party supports election fraud through the backdoor so to say.

Those essays are excellent. Trump, when he isn't screwing around, can communicate like that and has a fluid understanding of what he believes. When he does that, he connects which the public at a deep level. I am hoping he spends a lot more time being that Trump and a lot less time doing the shake your head stuff.

We had a Presidential candidate who tried something like this recently. Fred Thompson in 2008. He was my candidate of choice until he was torpedoed by both the Left and the Right (including, to my annoyance, Michelle Malkin and everyone at HotAir). They called him old and boring, even though he was putting out great videos explaining his political and policy philosophies.

That was 2008. The attention span of the average American is even worse now.

465 You can't fix anything until you fix elections.

Exactly. Well said.

If the 2020 (and 2022) election is not relitigated, it will result (has resulted) in at least 2 things: (1) the Left will know there are no consequences for their actions and they can continue without consequence (2) a large portion of the electorate will give up and stop participating in a completely corrupt and broken system.

466 :Tonight’s suspension of the Twitter accounts of a number of prominent journalists, including the New York Times’s Ryan Mac, is questionable and unfortunate,"

Truth of the matter: Doxing is dangerous, and the leftist media are all-in on doxing folks on the right. The article should read,"CNN, NYT, and several other Media Outlets Support Doxxing".

467 More like, we cannot win if the GOP does not nationally lead a movement to make elections honest. The fact that they have not done so and continue to claim these elections are legitimate leads to the conclusion that they support election fraud. 'Why' is a conjecture, but the basic facts are that the GOP does not want elections investigated, and the GOP power structures in states like Wisconsin, Arizona, Georgia, and Pennsylvania absolutely refused to go to the mat.

Posted by: whig at December 16, 2022 10:00 AM

And the reality is that this has been the case for decades. People have talked about any Republican candidates needing to defeat the margin of fraud at least since I have been following politics starting 09/12/2001. So the system has been broken for decades. And people just brushed it off as no big deal until 2020 it was finally over-the-top.

I go back to the TEA Party in 2009 and the GOP fighting that movement opened my eyes to the fact that the GOP is nothing but part of the Deep State Uniparty. The GOP has been working at least since that time to throw elections or actively help Democrats defeat conservative GOP candidates (i.e. Trump).

And I would add that the GOP is not going to lead that movement to make elections honest, because they are part of the establishment which does not want honest elections. 95% of elected representatives care about only power and control.

Anyone who thinks the solution to the nation's systemic corruption lies in the hands of any politician or political party has not been paying attention. No one in government is going to save us. The Deep State and WEF control is systemic and too ingrained for any one person or one political party. We, the People, are going to have to stop complaining that politician A or B is not doing enough and start becoming activists ourselves.

469 450 So the CIA being involved in the JFK assassination. I wonder if they were like the modern FBI who always seems to already know about these mass shooters, and just sat back and let Oswald kill Kennedy because Kennedy stole the election.

I would say, after experiencing the last decade, that ALL government organizations are like this. If they believe they can get away with it, they'll do it. Killing a President? Treason. Making up fake stuff to tar-and-feather a sitting President? Treason. Teddy Kennedy talking to the KGB to find a way to defeat Reagan? Treason.

473 The problem with that article is the false and misleading claim that "government school used to be..."

Since it's very inception, government schooling has been an exercise in serving the lowest common denominator. School scores have consistently declined since government schooling began. Literacy rates peaked long ago and have declined steadily since. Math proficiency has steadily declined.

Prior to government schooling, those who had a primary education were far more conversant in nearly every subject than anyone who has ever graduated from a government school.

You could burn all the schools to the ground and drop all the teachers and administrators into a shredder, and in 50 years we'd be right where we are today.

Government cannot solve social and economic problems.
