What good is a secondary education? 40% of students at liberal arts colleges now identify as LGBTQ, study finds According to a recently released report by the Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology, a center-right think tank that researches partisanship in academic and scientific fields, almost 40 percent of students at liberal arts colleges identify as LGBTQ. The report, titled “Diverse and Divided: A Political Demography of American Elite Students,” stated: Liberal arts colleges are the least politically diverse. Many have almost no conservatives, and thus very low viewpoint diversity. But they have high sexual diversity, at nearly 40 percent LGBT. The data used to compile the report show that overall 23 percent of U.S. college students identify as LGBTQ, a percentage similar to that of a February 2022 Gallup poll which found that 20.8 percent of Generation Z identified as LGBT. We all have to get along or do we? I know what side I am on. The relationship between meat eaters and vegetarians can sometimes be a contentious one, with both sides holding strong beliefs about their diets. However, it is important for both groups to coexist peacefully and respect each other’s decisions, as everyday life is full of situations where they have to interact. Recently, Redditor FlightStatus0 had a long fight and they needed to refuel themselves. So they got a burger and started eating it in their seat. However, their plane neighbor was a vegetarian, and the lady didn’t appreciate this one bit. Eventually, it got so bad that she even called the cabin crew to make them put away the meal! Unsure of the way they handled themselves, FlightStatus0 told the whole story to the subreddit ‘Am I the [Jerk]?’ asking to evaluate their actions. Here’s what they wrote. A meat eater picked up a burger for their long flight, but the vegetarian sitting next to them said she couldn’t bear the smell I hope he had extra onion on that burger. Their demand letter includes “A” grades for the semester, tuition refunds for the strike period, and better cafeteria food. Tuition for the semester ranges from $25,950 to $26,854 for the New York campuses' undergraduate students. Additionally, the demand letter calls for “the resignations of President Dwight McBride, Provost Renee T. All that extra money that went to the IRS. It didn't help security one bit. Confidential data of about 112,000 taxpayers inadvertently published by the IRS over the summer was mistakenly republished in late November and remained online until early December, the IRS disclosed Thursday. Form 990-T data that was supposed to stay private had been taken offline but made its way back to the IRS site when a contractor uploaded an old file that still included most of the private information, a letter sent Thursday to congressional leaders said. The agency is required to make Form 990-Ts filed by nonprofit groups available online but is supposed to keep the form filed by individuals private; in both cases, the agency made that information available too. I've never met Zion Clark but: I'm betting my next AoSHQ paycheck that he did not attend The New School, a private university in Manhattan. Where the Mantra is "We are spoiled!" Zion Clark made a successful mixed martial arts (MMA) debut last night (Sat., Dec. 17, 2022) at a Gladiator Challenge event in Valley Center, Calif., as the wrestler with no legs scored a unanimous decision win over Eugene Murray. Clark has a background in wrestling and that is exactly what he leaned on early into the fight. Murray wasn’t overly aggressive and it allowed Clark the opportunity to get inside and use a single leg to get in top position. It was impressive to say the least, even against an 0-4 fighter like Murray. Once upon a time the Mis. Hum. tax exemptions were this age. I can't imagine the angst of these parents. Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day. Mary Bourg said she searched the whole property looking for the girls with no luck. "I just start like running around the whole property — six acres — and that's when I called [my husband] and said, 'They're gone'," Mary told CBS News. The girls, ages 7 and 4, had wandered more than a mile from the property. Police and neighbors searched for the girls for four hours, until someone heard Artemis barking. Who says we can't have a Musical Interlude during a Genius Award Winner. Working as a law enforcement officer in America in 2022 has to be a total nightmare. People have gone crazy. That level of crazy was recently displayed at a Dallas, Texas-based Walmart when an unidentified woman confronted a police officer inside the store, near the entrance, and demanded he “respect” her while shouting obscenities and acting exceptionally aggressively. If 50,000 volts of pulsing electricity is what she meant by “respect,” then, boy, oh boy, she got it. Okay fam - I am reading Roger Stone's book on the assassination of JFK. What with the insider leakage to Tucker, there is some question - WHY NOW?
Why is the JFK story - almost 60 years ago now - coming into common currency. Some think its a trap for Tucker to get him drawn in to kooky conspiracy stuff. But I have come to this conclusion - its the Deep State rubbing our noses in it. A considerable portion of the facts laid out in Stone's book is undeniably true - I am sure it cannot ALL be true as there are contradictory things included. But the main theme is that the Deep State is real, and spectacular. Stone wrote this ten years ago before getting involved with Trump, so it has nothing to do with that. The CIA is leaking to Tucker to make sure that we know they took out Kennedy and got away with it, and they will get away with taking out Trump, too. And to roll back all the denials and stuff of the past six decades? The gaslighting is part of the kink. Posted by: blaster at December 19, 2022 10:07 PM (pwExq) 48

My upstate city is the first with rent control and tried to roll back private rents (temporarily stopped), and the dems I n my county have been taken over by dem socialists. My city elected one to the state legislature. Only a complete collapse will stop these loons, but if one does occur it will be ugly.

Doubling time in China may not be days anymore. Doubling time now possibly “hours” says some experts — let that sink in. R is hard to calculate if doubling is
- So here's the thing. The end state in any kind of epidemic like this is herd immunity, which requires a certain percentage of your population to have been exposed. That percentage can't be wished away. The theory (I'm not really sure it worked) on flattening the curve was that if you took longer to get there, you could avoid overwhelming hospitals during the densest part of the event. China, by going zero covid to sixty, is doing the opposite, which pretty much guarantees the most short term pain, and their people have been isolated for two years, so their immune systems are relatively atrophied. And the CCP needs proof they were right all along. So, yeah, I'd bet on body count. Posted by: Methos at December 19, 2022 10:50 PM (kOpft) 200

Think alpha was 0.025% fatality rate - but I think was IFR, not CFR. Ioannides at Stanford nailed it early, primarily based on Diamond Princess, but I haven't followed any of it since fall '20, having given up on the society and the world generally with respect to all this. And pretty much impossible that any "mitigation" changed rate of transmission or number of symptomatic infections or fatalities in China, since it did none of those things anywhere else. As calmly predicted by real epis and serious observers.

From what has been identified, the clot shot vaccine:
1) Doesn't prevent catching the disease 2) Doesn't prevent transmitting the disease 3) Does mitigate some of the sickness felt, similar to a therapeutic. #1 and #2 means that you are a carrier and a spreader of COVID. #3 means you are less likely to realize you even have COVID when you go about spreading it, versus staying the hell home when you're feeling sick. I posit that Pfizer's vaccine has actively killed more people than helped, simply because those that were vaccinated were more likely to be around other people, who would then be around even more other people, who would eventually be in proximity to high-risk patients. Because they had the shot, and they felt okay, so what's the big deal? Posted by: Another Anon at December 19, 2022 11:09 PM (c/zuG) 268

India-China War on the horizon?
https://tinyurl.com/mwfzd6u5 After two years of tense peace, hundreds of Chinese troops have encroached upon what India perceives to be its side of the border before being stopped in a battle involving branches, bricks and iron bars. Now India's in uproar, convinced a looming war with China is all but inevitable. In June, Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping proclaimed to the world he wants to present a "credible, loveable and respectable China" and "expand its circle of friends". But, two-and-a-half years after a fatal clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers in the Galwan Valley, Ladakh, another brawl has erupted. This time it was over ownership of a remote, 5200m-high mountain peak at Yangtse, Tawang. While 20 Indian and an unknown number of Chinese troops died in the 2020 clash, confused reports suggest this incident was less brutal -- though "as many as 30" Indians may have been seriously injured. There's at least one country standing up to China. Unfortunately, it ain't us. One does not relabel a compass.
The compass is "re-swing'd" by a certified professional. All of the CHARTS though, are amended though, as to Magnetic North on their Compass Rose. If it ends up in a thirteen degree difference from mangetic to map, it is then upon the Navigator to account for the difference. The re-certified compass will then be true to Magnetic North. Wherever it might then reside. And the corrections on the charts can vary wildly, from one longitude to the next. Posted by: JQ at December 20, 2022 *** The rules are fairly simple. Reduce speed; leave extra following distance between you and the car ahead; and don't change direction suddenly, and don't expect to be able to stop as soon as you usually do. You can let a *little* air out of your tires to allow them more surface area in contact with the road, and thus a bit more traction. Oh, and stay off the roads if the trip is not necessary.
