8 And the evening and the morning have arrived! 'Tis Wednesday. (Right . . .?) Still warm and sticky outside; the TV weather people have been promising us a rain event and a "cold" front today. We'll see. I ain't optimistic that I'll notice any coolness.

Yesterday evening I refilled my windshield washer reservoir, and used just water. There's a tiny bit of the soapy-ish fluid still in there which will lower the freezing point of the mix, if a freezing point ever wanders near us. Cheap though it is, I hate buying an enormous jug of the fluid and storing it. I've read of home-made recipes for the fluid: a tiny bit of Dawn, water, and some alcohol, but I'm always worried about mixing up something and finding it stains my paint. (First world problems --!)

I got through half of the article and then went to skim mode. Umm, it sounds like an authoritative term paper by college freshman English major about what computer coding, software, and the intertubes are all about. It sounds like the icky respiratory thing going around.
I got it and the worst lasted about a week.
Salt water gargle helps.
Later on Benadryl helped with sleeping and stopping the post nasal drip.

My wife has asthma, she got it after me. After a couple of days she called her doc and the doc got her some antibiotics and z-pak.

Prayers will help also.

I think so, but the packaging is different. No longer in the little rectangular box, but in some sort of bag. Do an image search and you'll see what I mean. They still have the two brothers with beards on the packaging.

My Stirling pulled a new one yesterday; at least I guess it was him. My TV wouldn't come on last evening, so I looked. Somehow the main power cord, which plugs into the TV vertically, came loose and was lying on the floor behind the cabinet. I imagine those two furry thugs were playing and racing back of the TV, and Stirling stepped on the cord with his full weight and knocked it down out of its connection.

They both also hit the power on button on the remote as they walk across it, turning my TV back on.

189 I remember creeping home in my 4x4 in a freezing rain once.
Parked the truck, and got out carrying a bag of clay cat litter for in the house.

When I slammed the truck door, the truck actually began to slide sideways in the parking lot.
Tore the top off of the bag and threw handfuls of litter under the tires to stop it.
Then walked to the apartment, sprinkling cat litter on the sidewalk in front of me as I went.

Kingmaker, and Wrath of the Righteous, both use the Pathfinder 1e rules pretty well. I backed them both, but don't have time to play either. They are addictive.

201 You guys are all talking about adopting pets. I've had a hellscape nightmare trying to adopt a cat companion for my old kitty (13) Misty. Her brother died in August and she's very lonely and depressed. All the good shelters around me have a system where they post a picture of the cat on facebook and you have to race to the email to let them know you want to meet the cat. If you're not first in line you're screwed. I haven't been first in line yet. At this rate Misty will be dead before she gets a buddy that is a good match for her and I'm being picky. She just wants someone to adore her, groom her and sleep next to her like her buddy did. LOL

203 PIXY! Pathfinder: Kingmaker is decent for the first few levels, but gets bogged down in the kingdom part. (Just like the TRPG!) What you really want is Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, which has no kingdom-running, just entertaining companions and lots of things to mess with your character alignment.

211 Kingmaker was good but the kingdom building gets old. I ran the tabletop campaign through the 3 installment (The Varnhold Vanishing) and the CRPG has the same flaw. The plot is fleshed out in the CRPG and it was a fun playthrough. I couldn't really replay it thought.

Wrath of the Righteous is even better. I have about 2000 hours on that according to GOG.

212 Pathfinder: King maker I hope you enjoy loading screens. It's a good game, but it's a steep learning curve if you don't come from the Pathfinder tabletop game experience.
