Many moons ago when I was a kid my family rented an RV and spent a few weeks touring the national parks in the west. We spent a couple nights in a campground in Yosemite by a falls, not that one I don't think, and also hit the Grand Canyon. Back then there was an Ansel Adams studio at the GC that had a fantastic exhibition of his black and white photos of the Canyon.

Long time ago but I still remember it clearly.

55. This is all necessary background to J6. Before the riots, the company was engaged in an inherently insane/impossible project, trying to create an ever-expanding, ostensibly rational set of rules to regulate every conceivable speech situation that might arise between humans.

This project was preposterous yet its leaders were unable to see this, having become infected with groupthing, coming to believe – sincerely – that it was Twitter's responsibility to control, as much as possible, what people could talk about, how often, and with whom.

96 Assuming the gun was a 12 pounter "Napoleon" used in the Nappy wars and Civil war, a standard cannon:

Bore: 4.62"
Tube weight: 1230 lbs.
Tube length: 66"
Maximum range: 1660 yards
Charge: 2.5 lbs black powder
Ammo: solid (12-pound ball), spherical case (shrapnel), shell, cannister
Rate of fire: 3-4 rounds per minute
Crew: 7
Piece weight 2355 lbs.
Muzzle velocity: 1485 fps. (feet per second)

Total manufactured: Union 1156 - Confederate 501

Normally pulled by team of 6 horses.

That's why Dems love Big Tech censorship, and conservatives hate it. Not hard.

It doesn't matter what docs you show media employees. They'll dismiss it as "nothing burgers" because they're hive-mind Dems.

One point I'll note: the difference between Dems/liberals and the anti-establishment left.

The anti-establishment left is viewed as the enemy, like the populist right, because they don't vote Dem. They're censored, too.

145 Q: What do you call Cavalry that has aggressed against fixed machine guns?
A: Infantry

The traditional role of cavalry was to bring in heavy charges to break up and rout infantry. To counter this was the pike square (and later instructions to lie down and shoot from the ground) and then later fast firing guns preventing the cavalry from bringing home a charge

Machine guns and barbed wire entanglements stopped cavalry and they were used more as scouts and for communications.

"Elf" is funny. Not a classic but fun.

Will Ferrell has some funny movies out there. I like them.

So, I don't think the WF Hate is universal on the HQ.

ABC: "if only we could gather a supporting cast of funny latinos for George Lopez to make racist cracks about, we could sell this drug addled hateful unfunny drunk abusive marxist-if-he-could-understand creep as a sit-com star."

187 I'm not a big Will Ferrell fan, but i make an exception for Ricky Bobby.

193 Infidel, I am sorry to hear you had a crappy day. I hope the weekend is better.

A close friend had a good day today, he got told he probably is cancer free but they want him back in six months to run him through the MRI to find out if he still fits in it.

(I made the last part up)

194 What? It has some biblical reference in the lyrics, and says "hallelujah!" A bunch of times. Sounds christmasy.

Biden’s @USDOL announced a rule change that will allow fund managers to invest your 401(k) funds into stocks that favor left-wing policies, even if they earn a lower return.

206 Hugs, Infidel. That's not the point. The point is that you had a terrible day, and it was your day that was terrible.
Other times you have a good day, and that day will be good for you

"worse things happen" is a good philosophy, but it still bites when it happened to you.
