White liberals will pay for any "treatment" if you tell them it's "Eastern" or "tribal."

Cats gonna cat. If you don't know what's going on here: When cats are happy, they revert to this behavior they did when infants, in which they tread up and down on their mom's belly, to get the milk to flow. That's what the leopard is doing.

This is in the Lost Lyrics to the Pina Colada Song (Escape), I think.

65 Cats are built to survive falls, but another thing is a small animal like a cat has a lower terminal velocity in air than a human and falls slower. Note how the spread out wide to catch more air instinctively.

I have had a couple of tiny kittens fall from my upper balcony in my house and take no harm aside from scaring me to death. The first was a teeny guy who escaped his safe room (i was pretty ill that day) and trotted right to the overlook, tried to circle around a railing pole and slipped the back feet then fell. I was right there and saw him fall. He was a bit shook up but not harmed, poor fellow. Put up plastic sheeting I had to avoid that problem. Cat used to sometimes balance on the railing there calling me to watch his whole life.

Years later I had some more kittens and put up cardboard ones. Soon after that one climbed the cardboard and fell down. He was older (6 mos) and slowed his fall on the cardboard and also wasn't hurt, so I went back to the clear sheeting.

I've had cats wrench a knee - once while I had had her staying with a catsitter friend she jumped from a window to the bed and I think caught a claw and twisted the "knee" which. My friend was so sad but I didn't blame her for not noticing, and it might have been just that second.

Anyhow, took her to vet next day and the vet searched for injuries and there was a pop when he stretched it and all was fine.

I usually gently push on the joints bones to see if there is sharp pain (they will snap if there is, or hiss) and move the limb a little. If that passes, I'll see if the limp goes away in a day or so.

When you brush in a pulling motion, you are actually pulling the long hairs out from inside the kitter-floof cavity. Find a brush that removes loose floof without pulling the long dtrands from inside the floof-cavity.

181 @65 Cats are built to survive falls, but another thing is a small animal like a cat has a lower terminal velocity in air than a human and falls slower. Note how the spread out wide to catch more air instinctively.

----

It's a combination of the small size, and the spreading that you noted. The latter causes loose skin that runs along the body between the legs to catch air and create drag, like a much less effective version of what a flying squirrel does. Ironically, I've read that falling shorter distances can be more dangerous for a cat if the animal doesn't have enough time to spread the legs out and slow down before hitting the ground.

183 A farmer buys a young rooster. As soon as he gets it home, it mates with all 150 of the Farmer's hens. The farmer is impressed.

At lunch the rooster again mates with all 150 hens. The next day, it's mating with the ducks and the geese too.

Later that day, the Farmer spies the rooster lying on the ground looking mostly dead and vultures are circling overhead. The Farmer shakes his head sadly and says, "You deserved it, you horny bastard!"

The rooster opens one eye, points upwards and says, "Shhh. They're about to land."

Magic Slates. Per my Dad's Cousin who was in the US Embassy in Moscow in the 80s, they used those to communicate sensitive information because they knew the Russians had them bugged.

I used to work at a place that handled sensitive information that had to be shredded if written down in notes, so I got myself a Magna Doodle. Partially to avoid issues with shredibles missing the shred bin undet the desk, and mostly to piss off my cow-orkers.

I suggest a Magna Doodle, they cost more, but last longer and they come in friendly colors. They cause heartburn.

237 re 169: from wikipedia:

Laurel and Hardy is a 1966-1967 American animated television series and an updated version of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy's comedic acts by the animation studio Hanna-Barbera and Larry Harmon Productions. Harmon had been developing the series since 1961, while Stan Laurel was still alive, although Laurel had very little involvement.

A total of 156 shorts were made, each having its own opening and closing wrap-arounds, to make them easy to air in syndication. As Oliver Hardy and Stan Laurel had died in 1957 and 1965 respectively, Jim MacGeorge provided the voice of Ollie, while Harmon voiced Stan. They would later reprise their roles in an episode of The New Scooby-Doo Movies.

The one-season show was not well received. Critic Leonard Maltin said, "To criticize these cartoons is pointless. Any imitation, even a good one, simply cannot be Laurel and Hardy... No one can duplicate Laurel and Hardy's greatness because they were unique."

308 As far as geese....
Look, people, they're a big bunch of greasy meat and feathers, with a very dull beak. Yes, it will hurt a bit if they bite you. BITE THEM BACK! It's a friggin' goose! It's not even a predator! If you can't fight a goose and make them leave you alone, I'm not sure you deserve to be a member of the apex predator species. Just go live in a cave and eat berries.

If they decide to jaywalk*, run one over (slowly). Trust me, they won't jaywalk there anymore.
If they give you a big hiss because you're too close to their mate? Give 'em a scream and a stomp of the foot while advancing on them. They will treat you like the bipedal omnivore you are.
They want to crap on your driveway? Throw a rock and hit one or two. If that doesn't work, grab a stick and rush them. They aren't Crips and Bloods, people.
And, if all else fails, get a slingshot and start practicing on them. They will get the hint and crap on the neighbor's lawn.

I didn't listen to them after the moving pictures album. The period that mattered to me was Fly by Night up to Moving Pictures. Lifeson's guitar was in your face, big as a T rex. Once they went retarded with the synth lifeson's guitar parts were reduced to this little single strum twangs somewhere in the background. They were dead to me after that.

Elvis had a million dollar voice but was at the mercy of songwriters and his management for material and musicians.

See if you can find on YT where Elvis sings and plays piano for a cover of the Righteous Brothers Unchained Melody at his last public concert before his death. Elvis is obviously blottoed and bleary but the old pro with the voice raised the roof with that song once he got started. The recorded version sucked. Sad to see such a great talent be destroyed by those around him but he let them do it to him.

336 I didn't listen to them after the moving pictures album. The period that mattered to me was Fly by Night up to Moving Pictures. Lifeson's guitar was in your face, big as a T rex. Once they went retarded with the synth lifeson's guitar parts were reduced to this little single strum twangs somewhere in the background. They were dead to me after that.
Posted by: Berserker-Dragonheads Division

I can see that from your perspective. I think I have several albums after that one but listen to their earlier albums a bit more but honestly have not listened much to a whole lp in forever.

Last one was when they remixed Quadrophenia several years ago I think.

340 It's a combination of the small size, and the spreading that you noted.

Velociraptor was smaller*. Half human height. Deinonychus was full height. IIRC, Jursassic Park omitted the foot claws so it was really a D-sized V.

I recall the story about larger V being found after the movie came out.

Just go back to what the FOUNDERS thought of as Cruel, or Unusual...

Hanging? AOK! Floggings and Stocks? Order of the day.

Cruel and Unusual for the folks who created the Constitution was things like being Drawn and Quartered... or the Rack....

That song is about Christopher Walken obviously /sarc.

In reality, I think I read somewhere the lyrics were based on some Christian sect's writing or something like that.

Dave my man, ever since Epstein had his little accident, the perverts have gotten bold and are coming out in public to push their poison on the innocent. Just keep putting the names on the list. One of these days, after the second revolution/civil war/Iran juking DC, it'll be time to take out the trash. Screw turning the other cheek, I want a knuckle duster with raised crosses on it.

424 If I recall correctly, Toto was made up of a bunch of session musicians. Damn good ones. They always sounded polished for a reason.

True. Steve Lukather is a damned fine guitarist. Saw an interview with him where he rattled off studio sessions he did for some of most iconic bands of our time.

I think Geddy Lee's voice is what causes people to go one way or the other on Rush. Their lyrics might also cause some people to dislike them as they are not typical of the rock genre.

Back in the day, Rush gave a helluva live show though. Last saw them live decades ago in Nashville.

443 I worked in an office where a pair of Canada geese took up residence in the shrubs beside the driveway into the parking lot. The male stood in the middle of the driveway and challenged all the cars coming in. Ended up blocking off the driveway and posting signs to use the back entrance around the block.
When the goslings hatched, our receptionist stopped the traffic on a busy main road so the goose family could cross the road to get to the golf course and creek there.
