Fox News: "Trump-Linked Lawyer Harmeet Dhillon" to Challenge Rona (Romney) McDaniel for Chair of RNC

Interesting. Would be nice to have someone more based in the position.

Harmeet Dhillon, a GOP lawyer with close ties to former President Donald Trump, is weighing a run for chair of the Republican National Committee (RNC).
Dhillon, who serves as an RNC national committee chairwoman from California, could announce her decision as early as this week, and is scheduled to appear on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" on Monday evening.
"Grassroots Republicans, donors and fellow RNC members alike have been reaching out to me since the midterm elections seeking changes in Republican leadership," Dhillon told Fox News Digital. "After successive disappointing election cycles, I believe we owe it to our voters to have an honest dialogue about the direction of our party and what needs to change for us to win in 2024."
Dhillon's prospective candidacy comes as incumbent RNC chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel has already announced her bid for a third term. McDaniel, a former chairwoman of the Michigan Republican Party, says she already has the support of several high-profile state GOP chairmen.

GOPe luvs them some splitter candidates. They cannot tolerate Lindell or Zeldin as chair because that disrupts the Uniparty Failure Theater.

Harmeet and her law firm have billed the RNC for nearly 1 million or so as a contractor which Ronna had to sign off on. It is kind of like the PR firm of Ackerman and the NRA leadership, one can hope that both lose so the organization can live without either of them sucking its lifeblood of money and credibility away.

Odd how quickly my impression of him changed once my alternatives were eliminated and then he actually won. In essence, there is no perfect candidate for RNC head but the key is willingness to delegate to effective subordinates for tasks that the chair is not adequately prepared to do.
