The beer can struck the senator in the chest/neck area, but he did not require medical attention, authorities said.Other reports confirmed that the missile was an unopened 12-ounce can. Since the can didn’t hit Cruz in the face or knock him down, it’s apparently OK for CBS to celebrate that there were Cruz haters in the crowd: There was video posted on social media that showed a can being thrown at Cruz, with boos coming from the parade crowd, although police did not say if that was the same incident. So there might have been multiple cans thrown at Cruz? That really sounds like a violent climate. Why might there be such hatred? Maybe it’s because the media itself feels the need to stress how much Cruz should be hated. How is the following necessary for a story about a member of Congress being assaulted in Houston? When Cruz attended Game 4 of the ALCS in New York, Yankee fans booed and flipped him off.Don’t bother looking anywhere in that story about how all the vitriol directed at Cruz is a bad thing, or how it might have inspired subsequent violence against him. CBS just wants you to know that Cruz is widely hated. From that you can simply infer then that he deserved what he got for causing people to hate him so. Senator Cruz got the last word, however, mocking his assailant. Cruz retweeted that video and thanked police for responding. "I'm also thankful that the clown who threw his White Claw had a noodle for an arm," he added.(buck.throckmorton at protonmail dot com) Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

It is a remarkable testament to the patience of sane, normal middle America that there hasn't been mass violence. Yet.
Part of it is fear. Some may be cowardice. But there is a growing storm in the soul of tens of millions of Americans who are closer to being backed fully into a corner than their antagonists realize. They are laying up for themselves a storehouse of incredible, unimaginable righteous wrath. Imagine thinking you and your freakish cabal of pierced sexual anarchists, wealthy globalists, and masses of brainwashed idiots can take away peoples' livelihoods, basic constitution freedoms, and groom their children with long-term impunity. TWITTER IS DYING!
Leftist Twitter is surpassing Y2K levels of hysteria about the upcoming demise of Twitter. An example: this is the burning of the millennial library of alexandria The Left is completely freaked out - Twitter is a key organizing instrument (for example, boycotts and cancelling people would be much more difficult without Twitter), and the Left is used to Twitter amplifying Leftist voices and suppressing conservative voices. It's a key tool for them. More: Twitter's imminent shutdown is bumming me out, mainly because this is the platform I've built most of my audience on. Legit years and years of work, that inevitably got me hired, and has gotten me some of my biggest opportunities in life. All gone. Because of one rich white man. 2 days before the World Cup Qatar bans all Beer, Budweiser is a 75 million dollar sponsor.
They had previous worked out a deal where beer was allowed (for Bud) but now its been rescinded. Qatar has FIFA by the short and curlies here, they cannot cancel or move the match this close to the event. Qatar is an evil place anyway, why they would have the matches there is just one more example of the corruption. According to FIFA rules, the first game has to be the host country vs their opponent in the series, so its two countries nobody cares about which hilariously hurts the advertising money. Soccer is beloved by lefties because its a non-American sport that you don't even have to know much about to understand and follow it. The rules are really simple. Plus, the big stars are all huge douchebags and the fake injuries fit into the woke psyche well: he was touched and it triggered him! red card!!!

Rugby, had my tonsul's taken out and I watched the Rugby World cup, really enjoyed it and got into it.
Now Baseball is damn boring. Australian Rules Football is fun to watch as well. Baseball isn't boring, its slow and takes a lot of understanding of the game to really enjoy. That was fine back in the radio days, because most kids played baseball and people had more time to absorb and enjoy things. These days its really slow paced and too complicated for younger people to learn. And since baseball requires so many players and equipment to play, its not as played by kids any longer. The flood of illegals from down south has replaced almost all the small fields in towns with soccer pitches. Its tragic, but inevitable. THE BEST NEWS YET: “TWITTER’S MODERATION SYSTEM IS IN TATTERS.” “At this moment, we have nobody to reach out to,” says Nina Santos, a researcher at the Brazilian National Institute of Science & Technology in Digital Democracy. “All the people that we were talking with are no longer there.” Santos says that until Musk’s takeover, Twitter had been “quite responsive” in taking down rule-breaking content that could undermine trust in the election or spread disinformation, compared to Meta and Google. The entirety of Twitter’s Brazil team was included in the 7,500 people laid off earlier this month. Although Lula was declared the winner of the election, Santos says she still sees tweets questioning the result or calling for mobilization against the government. All of these, she says, are dangerous. No, lady, you are dangerous, and you and those like you here in the U.S. need to be stopped. Posted by: Archimedes at November 18, 2022 11:26 AM (eOEVl) 118

Yep many contemporary sports events have been greatly damaged by the idiocy of loud bad music filling every "gap" in the action. And the gaps caused by TV time-outs. Hockey definitely hardest hit, by far, since other team sports don't have anything like the pace and thus momentum not usually a big factor. It's really striking when attending a game. But as with so much else, most don't know what they're missing any more.

She was really hot, so he put up with her shit for a long time before he dumped her, and so the rest of us did, too. One night, she got into a fistfight with some hood-ass bitches at a club downtown. We saved her from them. And then their boyfriends (this part was just talking it out; nobody wanted to die). And then the cops who responded to the melee. We got this wack bitch home, and she freaked out again. The neighbors called the cops, again, and we saved her from them, again. After they left, she freaks out *again,* and this time it's at me, for finally telling her to STFU and go to bed. She winged a full beer at me, and it hit square in the sternum, and hard. We never seem to learn from our mistakes. Just before the financial markets crashed and the economy plunged into a horrifying recession in 2008, U.S. consumers went on a debt binge of epic proportions. Mortgage debt, auto loan debt and credit card debt all skyrocketed, and so when the economy finally crashed all of a sudden there were millions of Americans drowning in bills that they were unable to pay. Well, now it is happening again. According to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, during the third quarter of 2022 household debt increased at the fastest pace that we have seen since the first quarter of 2008.

I just discovered Rugby Union as an entertainment pleasure this summer (and finally learned the rules) watching old RWC Japan matches from 2019. I played or learned every imaginable sport as a kid in the U.S. I even went to a rich kids school that had fencing and a Water Polo pool. Not a competition pool, a separate polo pool, but never even saw a rugby ball.
Which is really too bad, it's a fantastic, non-stop game. I would have been forced to play "hooker" by genetics but I wish I had, it truly us a universal sport that many more people can play than the more specialized, equipment driven sports. Also, there is a stated ethos of fair play and respect (at least at the International team level) shown that is truly admirable in this age of Little League parent melt-downs and rages against volunteer referees etc. that just doesn't happen in rugby. Future News Today:
Republican Senator Dies in Accident Potential Successors File Lawsuit to bypass State Law that has "Roots in Racist Past" An area man threw a bottle and "accidently" resulted in the death of the senator. "I definitely threw it at him, I hate everything Rethuglicans stand for. But, I just wanted to cause severe injury, I didn't mean for this to happen." The man, unnamed to protect his privacy, is expected to return to his unnamed home country after being released on his own recognizance. Sadly, he might have to remain there due to unspecified threats against him from hateful supporters of the deceased Senator. Immediately upon learning of the death of the Senator, several Democratic politicians petitioned the courts to disallow state law which requires that the replacement of a deceased representative to be from the same political party. The law a from the Reconstruction era put in place to discourage assassination in order to change the state's representation in Congress. "This is a racist Civil War era law that has no place in today's society" according to Mark Elias, the lawyer representing the Democratic party.
