AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List

Please submit any prayer requests to me, “Annie’s Stew” at apaslo atsign hotmail dot com. Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks unless we receive an update.

Prayer Requests:
9/6 – Jewells45 had bad news and needs prayers. Her CT scan indicated several nodes on her lungs, too many to count. It is very probable that she has lung cancer. Her husband is devastated, and she is scared to death.
11/1 Update – The brain MRI was negative (thank God!) and radiation treatments and the first infusion are set up for the week of 11/7. She also sends her thanks for the prayers, that got her through the initial shock and several procedures. Please keep praying for strength for her as she faces chemo and radiation.

10/23 – Sharkman asked for prayers for his eldest daughter (age 25) who miscarried on Sunday, losing her little one at about 2 months gestation. She was so happy when she announced she was expecting last month. Please pray for her healing, for her husband, and the soul of the little one who died.

10/24 – Village Idiot’s Apprentice is having eye problems. He was driving on the highway when there was suddenly a distortion in his middle vision, and he had vertigo. They were able to get pulled over and his wife drove them home. He has an appointment with a specialist. Prayers are appreciated.

10/26 – Brother Tim asked for prayers. It seems like he has an inguinal hernia, but it has not been formally diagnosed yet. The timing could not be worse, as he is trying to transition to a new living arrangement and is very busy at work, on top of other concerns. Please pray for healing, for smoothing of rough places, and a little peace of mind.

10/29 – C asked for prayers. He is 77 years old, and his wife of 22 years (age 65) just announced she was “not happy” and wants to end the marriage. She took the laptop and all their financial records, so it will be difficult to work out the details. C has no significant family or friends for support. Please pray for strength and support for C, and also for his wife.

10/30 – Ozborn asks for prayers. His wife is pregnant again, but after several miscarriages, they are too scared to hope this one will work out. Please pray for peach for them as they wait for the first appointment/ultrasound, and for health for baby Ozborn.

10/30 – Tonypete requested prayers for his little boy, on the anniversary of his passing, on All Saints Day (11/1), and also for his mom. She never recovered from his death, and checked out shortly thereafter.

11/1 – Euro could use some prayers, as she is hospitalized. She is out of ICU, but says her (6 broken) ribs hurt like heck and she is trying to prevent pneumonia. She sends thanks for the prayers.
11/5 Update – Euro is home from ICU and her border collie is staying by her side. He knows she is hurting.

11/2 – That Guy What Always Says Yeah Buddy asked for prayers from the Horde for his wife, who is in the ICU and getting a ventilator tube to help with her breathing. She caught the type A flu from him, and he cannot forgive himself for passing the flu to her. He is very worried about her.
11/12 Update – His wife is home from the hospital. She’d been released already once, but then had to go back in. She had shingles and a blood infection. Home health and a physical therapist are supposed to visit next week.

11/3 – Brother Tim asked for prayers for his housing situation. He was supposed to move in today, but the promised financial assistance did not come through. It is so hard when his hope is being yanked away at this critical moment.

11/3 – Sal would appreciate prayers for a good outcome for his mother-in-law, who had surgery for a broken hip earlier this week and is resisting going into rehab. She has a bit of dementia, so that complicates things.

11/3 – Sponge’s new-ish boss could use some prayers. The boss has lymphoma and starts chemo next week. He’s a really nice guy and a good boss.

11/3 – Sarahw asked for prayers for her husband, who is had emergency surgery for a torsion of his stomach, a gastric volvulus.

11/4 – Polynikes needs prayers. He has a 5 mm kidney stone that is causing a lot of pain. His own doctor no longer accepts his insurance, and he is not confident in the new doctor that he saw.

11/5 – Lola requested prayers for Phil, who is suffering from renal failure as a result of a rare autoimmune liver disease. He has displayed kindness, humor, and patience throughout his life, and could use peace and relief from pain and anxiety. Also prayers for strength and comfort for his wife and daughter are requested.

11/5 – Lola also asked for prayers for Lorraine, who lost her husband suddenly. They had a long and loving marriage even as he suffered severe, chronic illness for decades. Prayers that he rests in peace would also be greatly appreciated.

11/5 – Troyriser asks the Horde for prayers. His wife of 15 years (and the love of his life) suddenly and unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack last month. She died in his arms, and he is struggling with nearly overwhelming grief. Prayers for strength to get through this would be appreciated.

11/5 – Wenda asked for prayers for her husband He’s struggled with Parkinson’s and dementia for several years. Two months ago, he just crashed, physically and in terms of his grip on reality. She had to agree to place his in memory care. Now he has taken another big step down, and cannot make sense of what is happening to him. He comes up with stories of horrible things he must have done to deserve this. This week they will be discussing palliative care and hospice. Any prayers are welcome.

11/5 – DD is a prayer warrior in the Horde. He and his wife have offered to drive to pray with people in the Flagstaff/Phoenix/Prescott AZ area. He is also in Tucson every other week, so could pray with people there, too. Please email me (Annie’s Stew) if you would like to get in contact with him.

11/6 – FortWorthMike sent an update on his grand-niece Chloe. She is the toddler we have been praying for who needs a kidney transplant. He wanted to let the group know that she still needs a transplant, but has made progress. She is home again now, happy and talking and running around. She still has daily dialysis, and continued prayers are much appreciated. They have helped her tremendously.

11/7 – Sven could use some prayers for healing of his incisive hernia on his right quadrant by his ribcage.

11/9 – Screaming in Digital asked for prayers for her aunt, who is dying, and her mom, who may not get there in time to say goodbye.

11/12 – grammie winger asked for prayers for peace, comfort, and wisdom for a difficult situation.

11/12 – Browndog asked for prayers for his mother, who just passed away. She finished her race at 101, having lived a full life.

11/12 – Cat Ass Trophy asked for prayers for his mother-in-law, who was hospitalized with sepsis after catching the flu while visiting his family. She had said she’d rather die than not see her grandkids, but it would be nice to not have it be prophetic. Prayers for a complete recovery are important since sepsis can cause organ failure. So far, she is improving, and they are getting a good assessment of where she is, health-wise.

11/12 – Sua Sponte sent his thanks for the Horde’s prayers. We had prayed for his friend, whose sister-in-law had been murdered. All worked out well, with no issues at the funeral, and her parents were able to attend. Also, she had life insurance, so her sons will be provided for. Thank you all so much.

11/15 – jewells45 asked for prayers. Her friend’s niece died in a car crash, at age 25. Please pray for her family.

11/17 – Screaming in Digital requests prayers for her upcoming move from WY back to the south. She’s thankful to be moving closer to her family and for a new job that should be a great fit. Many of the rough places have already been made smooth, but she still needs wisdom, mental and physical strength, and patience for another cross-country move. She also needs prayers that she can sell a car before the move (or a workable plan if not) and that she will be focused and productive in her new job.

For submission guidelines and other relevant info, please contact Annie's Stew, who is managing the prayer list. You can contact her at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com. If you see a prayer request posted in a thread comment, feel free to copy and paste it and e-mail it to Annie's Stew. She tries to keep up with the requests in the threads, but she's not here all of the time, so she may not see it unless you e-mail it to her. Please note: Prayer requests are generally removed after four weeks or so unless we receive an update.

Romans 8:26-27
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

and of course dumping all of their soy-boy enablers at the same time. And all the legacy employees who get huge salaries but haven't done anything but coast for years.

35 I'm actually quite curious to know if getting rid of 3/4 of the staff will put Twitter in the black, and even more importantly, enable Musk to make enough money to cover the opportunity cost on the $44B he spent. Probably not, but then, nobody was concerned about Bezos spending much more than WaPo was worth, or Slim doing the same for NYT. Funny that.

Right, but let's say they have Google says they had 7,500 employees. That puts their annual expenditure on salaries at $1.5B. Getting rid of 2/3s of them gets you to $500M, for an annual savings of $1B. That's only 2.3% of $44B. Now if Twitter finally becomes profitable through ads and new customers, great.

69 Why did the democrat in CO-3 concede before the mandated recount and issued a statement that he does not want the recount to happen. He even issued a statement to his donors to not contribute money to his campaign for the recount because he wants nothing to do with it.

Just watched that earlier this morning. Wish we had more of her type here in the USA. Hell, wish we had any of her type here in the USA. Not just someone who exposes the things she exposes, but does it with such ferocity and passion.

From what I have seen of Kari Lake and Ron DeSantis, they seem to have it in them. But they have thus far only been talking about things on a local level. DeSantis talks about not allowing things to happen in Florida (i.e. CRT, sexualization of children in schools, gender dysphoria madness, etc). That message needs to expand to saying that these things cannot happen in America, American culture and society, not just Florida. I look forward to hearing what he has to say about those things when he runs for President (as well as what President Trump has to say about these things during his campaign).

No recount = no review of funny business with the ballots would be my guess. Recall the recounts Jill Stein demanded in 2016 abruptly stopped in MI when they started uncovering sealed, certified ballot boxes from Detroit that were like 350+ certified voted for Hills vs. only 50 or so ballots inside. votes

When you are in a team that faces many challenges -- all solvable -- and the crushing overburden of naysayers and censors has been removed it is liberating. Putting in long stretches of time working in that situation is an absolute joy. I had one such experience last for about 18 months shortly over one year after I began working in the private sector.

The Canadian government is preparing to euthanize a disabled woman because she can’t afford housing that is suitable for her condition.

The disabled 32-year-old woman, known only as Denise to protect her identity, is now in the final stages of the process and is preparing for her medically assisted death appointment.

Doctors will soon pull the plug on Denise after she suffered seven futile years of applying for affordable housing in Toronto.

Denise suffers from a condition known as Multiple Chemical Sensitivity.

Exposure to chemicals that commonly linger in households, like laundry detergents and air fresheners, triggers debilitating symptoms.

174 Update on my husband: he is now in hospice. They are warm and supportive and also very firm about making me face the decisions ahead. Not so hard for my kids as they have seen this coming for a while. I couldn't and still can't. I keep thinking I'm making it up.

I know many here have bad luck, but I didn't. On my first day skiing I saw him skiing and I said, That one. I never looked back. Well over fifty years ago. It's been my privilege to share my life with him.

Oddly enough, one thing has given me some peace. The kids and I were discussing the ugly coffin vs. urn, and my son said, Well, you can visit the urn, even if it's just in a closet. And I said, if I want to visit him, it would be on a ski slope, not a closet. Aha! said my son.

So we're going to see if we can spread his ashes on a slope at the ski area nearby where we spent so many gorgeous days together.

What I don't see in the story is any word on family. She's alone, that seems to be her biggest problem. The rest of this stuff, I'm not sure I buy it. Lots of people develop physical reactions to things, and it isn't "fake" per se. More like, the psychological damage causes their bodies to overreact, and systems to break down.

Not saying I know what's happening here, but the lack of any connection to any family, and the symptoms, and the desire to kill herself... I have questions.

245 Vegan leather is often made from polyurethane, a polymer that can be made to order for any designer’s whim. It can also be made from innovative and sustainable materials such as pineapple leaves, cork, apple peels, other fruit waste, and recycled plastic and used to create products that put animal skins to shame.

For example, PETA Business Friend Desserto’s vegan leather is stylish, sustainable, and made of cactus. Yes, you read that correctly! Desserto makes beautiful vegan leather out of cactus. It’s good for the planet, good for animals, and good for your soul.

That is rather revealing statement. RBR has a whole new definition of what it means to be "rich", at least from an economic and wealth perspective.

IOW, to be monetarily rich doesn't mean that you own assets or property. It is more of a trigger word for "lucky" or "privileged" - completely disconnected from the concept of ownership and control of personal/private property.

it follows in the pattern of the WEF where people are promised that they will have access to things that normally are afforded and enjoyed by property owners, but that their access is conditional on foreign and unrelated criteria (eg. devotion to the Party, social score, CRT totem position, etc.)

These lizards don't even understand English anymore.

What is interesting about that combination is that where the interests overlap requires industry. Industry requires some formula of labor, talent, materials and energy.

The university system has failed to produce talent, materials are regulated to be domestically unaffordable and the government is promising an everlasting energy famine such where not only is power (either through fuel or electricity) is unreliable, but is horribly expensive when rationed or found (ref: Europe)

Flooding the country with potential labor but not having any of the other elements makes 1) moot, since companies can't produce anything due to the three other missing elements.

So the patents don't have any value, none of the hardware/servers, the IP the branding - none of it has any value whatsoever.

Twitter has already had to engineer scaling into the system years and years ago. I'm not a Twitter user so I'm not aware of any public facing features that have been added that would require large staff of developers.

Other than the occasional server falling over, dealing with the usual outages and equipment aging out and needing replacement, the scheduled backups and keeping up with the latest security updates. A good DevOps team could keep Twitter running until Musk can assemble a team of Product, Partnership and Marketing people that aren't corrosive to the Brand.

376 370 yes. I would ditch it, but my core clientele lives their lives on it so I am stuck. Surprisingly, insta isn’t difficult. It’s just Facebook.

377 335 The FNM wing of the commiecrats are trying to paint twitter as broken already. How? Twitter links Ace posted last night worked just fine. Possibly they have some glitches with signups for new users. Not that I care, its just example xxxxx of the FNM distorting the truth or outright lying.

Yesterday Marie Harf-harf-harf claimed that if Twitter goes "off-air" due to Musk's management, journalists and human rights advocates will be hardest hit.

Human rights advocates? Huh? A typical Democrat-Media Complex play to get sympathy for (supposedly) compassionate, non-political persons and incite anger at Musk.

378 Back to bed for a while, because I'm 29 years old and it's Saturday.

Many years ago circa 1970, I read a syfy novel partly set on an air liner. One of the problem passengers was a rock star who had had surgery to enlarge his penis to gargantuan porportion. I thought that's crazy! Nobody would do that! Ahh, was I ever so young?

382 Strength training is important if longevity is one's goal. I swim but doctor said that would not help build bone strength. Need weight bearing exercise.

You could run the wheelbarrow as Divide By Zero's wife digs a ditch. I'm not entirely joking- these are great weight-bearing exercise and they get some work done (if you have work that needs to be done).

384 The fifty software engineers have probably figured out that being part of Elon's software turnaround team is going to be a golden ticket in Silicon Valley for the rest of their careers.

Furthermore, The Deserters are going to discover the market for people who have clearly advertised themselves as hyper ideological, over compensated, Woke, massively entitled goldbricks just isn't there anymore.

Even the existing Twitter people have lost stock-options as a form of compensation. With the economy going into the toilet, some developer making $240k before benefits and options will be luck to score a $180k gig that doesn't have the expectations of 50+ hr weeks.

385 Yesterday Marie Harf-harf-harf claimed that if Twitter goes "off-air" due to Musk's management, journalists and human rights advocates will be hardest hit.

The Left is terrified because Twitter owns all the material posted to its platform (including the "private" DMs that people send to each other).

They all agreed to that, when they accepted Twitter's Terms of Service (you know, that thing that nobody reads).

Elon can bring the temple down, if he chooses to start publishing some of the DMs that prominent Leftists used to communicate with each other.
