The left has successfully conflated privilege and right. Voting is a privilege, and, as such, should require effort. However, vote by mail means slacker entitled generation can vote without putting forth any effort. Heck, with one weird trick, I probably could have had R's runs the table in AZ. Tell people if they want to vote by mail, they have to pick up their ballots and show ID before they can get their ballot.

That I don't agree with. If we lose in 2024, that will knock out a lot of GOPe that have no clue how to win. With some luck we pick up MT and WV in the Senate and at least hold one chamber to stop whatever President Whitmer does.
2028 could be the year that we get a good candidate that understand MAGA without Trump's negatives. Of course, we have to also figure out how to appeal to the working class Trump voters who won't vote for GOP without him on the ballot.
Honestly, it comes down the GOP learning to adapt. They might not, in which case it could be decades and who knows if the country is even still here.

In a presidential election year, no one cares about the house/senate leaders...it's all coattails (or lack thereof) from the top of the ticket...
To win 2024, we probably need to dial up values and dial back "cuts", even if we want to make them. As Dems show, once you're IN office, you can go nuts, but you have to run a campaign to get there...

I have been pushing the new polling measures that report D, R and I favorites then adding a new marker for percent of D fraud - it will add up to over 100, but that is the point.
By adding in the Margin of Fraud per district, it will be a far more accurate estimate of who will win the ballot counting. We have been focusing on eligible voters and likely voters when voters has nothing to do with who wins elections - its the number of ballots, which is increasingly disconnected from actual votes.
Therefore, your assessment that the McGOP can't win as it is currently constituted is silently acknowledging the Fraud component that has been missing in all of these polls.

I believe you. Driving North, there's a short stretch of I-5 between Brooks and Woodburn during the Spring before the warmer weather starts that you can see Jefferson ( a little behind to the SE), Hood, St Helens, I think Adams, and the very tip of Rainer. This is only on very cool, clear days.

That is just my standard response to the haters now, I'm beyond letting them chase me out after an election.
So I said it would be a red wave, and specifically said it would be an R+4 or R+5 year. It was about R+4 when you include California. However, for literally the first time in history, generic ballot, party out of power, and historically low presidential approval did not lead to a large gain in House seats and picking up competitive Senate seats. Despite not being able to predict something that has never happened before, I had a decent result.
Correctly predicted: FL Gov, FL Sen, GA Gov, GA Sen, NC Sen, NC SC, NC Leg, OH Sen, WI Sen, NV Gov, OR-5. I also warned that NY Gov, MI Gov, CO Sen, and WA Sen, were unlikely. Obviously got the House total wrong, but GOP did win it.
So given the environment, I'm not going to apologize.

I think one error by Lake's people occurred when a mess of voting machines were bricked (no doubt deliberately) in GOP districts in Maricopa. They went to court to try to get voting hours extended, as has been the norm for that sort of thing most anywhere else, and the court denied it. At that point, they should have immediately gone to a higher court.

I think the change to the equation is vote by mail. I think everyone agrees with that. And at this point I'm even ready to believe that the results could be "legit", disregarding the supposed need for VBM. I know ballot harvesting occurs. But opening the electorate up to the lower threshold of mail is going to get you a heretofore missing segment of the population. I don't see this going away. Nothing that advantages the left ever goes away.
Can the GOPe reach out to these people in a way that would better the nation? They could but they are currently conspiring with our enemies to destroy the very idea of making America great again. If "Vote by Mail" is ever on the ballot or in front of your state legislature do everything you can to block it. I do think some of the vitriol stems from everyone hoping against hope elections only have some shenanigans, not China level fraud. But after the 2020 presidential election was obviously rigged and everyone knows the dementia patient didn't get anywhere near as many votes as Trump, I don't see how anyone could be surprised by this outcome.
