123 One can't help but notice the judge waited until after the election to declare it unconstitutional.

That could be for a number of reasons: the full time communist staff in the office, the inescapable truth that conservatives in politics have a penchant for screwing things up, the enemedia would have ignored it anyway, and if the judge published before the election would have had to suffer the dreaded fear of being deplatformed from social media. Spouse would probably also file for divorce too.

155 For those who missed this from the ONT:

So this is not speculation, this has been confirmed now.

The "plan" by McCarthy and McConnell was to use a narrow but "disappointing" win in both chambers to blame Trump and then use DeSantis as a tool to run against Trump and take him out. If DeSantis didn't bite on it, then their second choice is Youngkin.

The problem with this plan is it assumed that an R+5 electorate would produce a normal outcome in the election, and they were safe to tank seats that would given them trouble.

They may have gotten too clever by half, and are now being blamed for the losses. They could end up being the ones taken out by Senators/Members that were expecting chairmanships. A whole lot of plans have been derailed.

194 We have been getting some pro 2A decisions in the courts lately, and I think if the Oregon law goes to court, it gets destroyed. It would be wonderful if things blew up in the libs faces, and SCOTUS says you can't tax gun ownership, so bye bye to those $200 BATF tax stamps.

196 "Dare I ask what the Senate is currently looking like?

Why do we even need a Senate? Everything is now decided, including multi-trillion dollar budgets, foreign wars and every bit of micro-management of We The People, by unelected bureaucracies and EOs via Kalorama.

201 I lived in Orange County many decades ago. Even then the state was warped, the county was warped. For a wealthy place, they have always had the worst public schools. Even when things were good in Cali, they sucked. And they have always been gun grabbers.

203 The personal hatred McConnell has for Trump likely factored into the "plan" to tank MAGA candidates where possible. Trump's weird behavior is likely bitter rage. I honestly don't blame him, but still.

McConnell and McCarthy, the RNC, etc. have been after Trump since he got elected. It is because of GOP fatcat donors are more concerned about looting what is left of the Republic and cheap labor rather than wanting to put regular Americans first.

In a way, it resembles how the Roman nobles were ganging up on Caesar, launching investigations and so on. That is how you get a Caesar. Similar precursors to Sulla.

Read what Dave in Fla had to say. If Youngkin and DeSantis are coordinating with GOPe to 'hit' Trump then they are scum too. Much more concerning than a few twitter insults about them doing it.

You go along with tanking GOP candidates in the House and Senate to get OrangeMan out, then any presidential candidate supporting such actions sucks by definition.
