Does anyone have any remaining doubt that the CATO/AEI/Koch Foundation Corporate "libertarian" axis has shifted completely to partner up with the socialist-Marxist left?

They have one very powerful point in common: They are all slaves to China and can't wait to make us slaves as well.

This guy, Daniel Rangle, demonstrates that his claim is false -- it's not white guys who are primarily hurt by Foe-Shoring manufacturing jobs to China, it's blacks and Hispanics.

Last year, while at @Public_Citizen, we did some calculations and found that Black and Latino workers were disproportionately represented in nine out of the 10 manufacturing industries that were hit hardest by import competition. (3/).
Millions of workers in these sectors lost their jobs. Plus, in these industries, where again a disproportionate number of Latinos and African Americans worked, wages remained basically stagnant during the last 3 decades. Sectors less exposed to trade had slight wage gains (4/).

A non-white can hate a white, yes, but that hatred is not racist and is indeed an expression of justice. The disempowered cannot be racist against the empowered, because to have power is a prerequisite for racism. A black person cannot be "racist" against a white person. The oppression systems put in place by white people - and white men specifically - mean they are in the positions of greatest power and therefore there cannot be a racism problem as far as pushback against them is concerned.

Countries like South Africa are an interesting case, but even there we will find the same underlying white supremacist power dynamic in play. Even disregarding the long rich history of apartheid and racism in that country, we find that it is not as simple as you imply. South Africa - like many other countries on various continents - still has white-oriented power structures and systems as a result of the legacy of colonialism. The recent progress made in places like South Africa is but a down payment on the overall problem of rooting out the legacy of oppression, colonialism and white supremacy. It permeates all things, from the government power structure to the language to the cultural artifacts that result in internalized racism. The free-floating anxiety such populations must live with on a daily basis as a result of historical oppression will take generations to purge.

If you never have a crap job while in school, and then you take on huge debt getting a fancy degree under the impression this earns you a well-paid, professional gig out of the gate, then manufacturing is perceived as beneath you.

In the 70's Murray Rothbard argued that Libertarianism as an extreme minority political party had to ally with someone, and once they were shut out of the Republican party due to philosophical issues about the use of the military and draft, and being targeted for exclusion by Wm F Buckley, the party allied with the Democrats.

However this means the LP members who came up were more Democrat than anything, and like any ANY closed in-group that maintains control via clique, it created an LP that was almost indistinguishable from the radical Democrats. In some way I think the policy from the 90's on was to attract the radical Dems away from the Democratic party, which pissed a lot of people off.

If they are on the path towards becoming more Milton Friedman and less Gary Johnson, I look forward to the potential good they can do. Part of that needs to be stepping out of races where their presence can throw races to Democrats, though. I can understand libertarian frustration and dissatisfaction with the GOP, but any libertarian analysis that says a Democrat winning is better for liberty than a GOPer is unserious. Concentrate on winning actual races instead of playing spoiler while building an actual coalition of people dedicated to liberty, and I'll give it another look...in a decade or so.

Racial categories are super large, to the point of being fuzzy. Ethnic groups are very tight and tend to be strong indicators of differences.

Racial identification is also loose, though more restrictive in the US and more skin-color based than in other countries.

Don't know any details, but I hurt mine a long time ago and yoga helped a lot. Not putting on silly clothes and going to a studio or anything like that, but just finding a DVD at the library that I liked and doing it at home every day. Balance, stretching, the Superman pose a LOT, etc. It took a few years but it made a big difference. Might be worth an appointment with a physical therapist to get some safe weight training that will help, too. It's not a fast process but it definitely worked. Good luck.

He’s obviously not offering enough to make working there worth it. Like I said offer $1000 an hour and you’d have people begging to have a job there.

In my burg all the fast food places were closing at 7pm and had drive thru only. No employees. Then slowly they started raising wages. In the past couple of years it went from $10-12 and hour to $15-17 an hour. And guess what? All that labor shortage suddenly went away. All the stores are open until 10 or 11 including inside seating.

Crazy how that works huh?

The problem with that if you go too far - and we've gone too far - is that people start wondering - reasonably - why they're going through the hoops of dealing with those time zone problems and distance from equipment and people that will be doing the job anyway. It would make sense to move this little piece of design or development over with manufacturing. And then another little piece. And then so on and so forth until you have nothing left.

"Engineered here, manufactured there" doesn't hold up forever.

Cultural evolution is much faster than natural selection.

Eskimos tend to be more stocky for heat retention, Africans lankier on the average, things like that.

Whites in warmer areas will tend to darken up (olive skin in Mediterranian, etc) but once everyone is wearing appropriate clothing the survival difference tends to be nil. Human culture by design tries to reduce evolution's impact by social care.

First them employee low skilled workers which, unless you have a nation of geniuses, need work and the self-work that comes from it. Second, those factories employee service industry people and buy equipment. You know what happens when you ship low value overseas? The engineering, planning, and service jobs eventually follow. It is like the small mfg plants that go destroyed because their customers got shipped overseas where the new factories found it easier to use local mfg. It's like a grocery store getting rid of milk and eggs because they are low return items.
