The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

punk-monkey.jpg

If you weren't already confident that the World Economic Forum (WEF) is one of the engines of the devil, this editorial from their website should reassure you. It is nothing more than a mass of post-modern doublespeak, using the current mania for the devolution of Man and his works, otherwise known as "Climate Change," as the catalyst for the elites' goal of a dystopian world of densely packed cities populated by drones whose every action is controlled, tracked, and critiqued by the regulatory state.

‘My Carbon’: An approach for inclusive and sustainable cities

Inclusivity of citizens is becoming the most important element of success or failure in the journey towards sustainability. Community-led initiatives can make a significant contribution towards sustainability, increase resilience and social cohesion. There have been numerous examples of personal carbon allowance programs in discussions for the last two decades, however they had limited success due to a lack of social acceptance, political resistance, and a lack of awareness and fair mechanism for tracking “My Carbon” emissions.

There have been significant developments in last five to seven years on social, environment and technology fronts that could help realise “My Carbon” initiatives for shaping the future towards smart and sustainable cities.

Specifically, to mention three developments in this context:

The first one is a doozy!
1. COVID-19 was the test of social responsibility -- A huge number of unimaginable restrictions for public health were adopted by billions of citizens across the world. There were numerous examples globally of maintaining social distancing, wearing masks, mass vaccinations and acceptance of contact-tracing applications for public health, which demonstrated the core of individual social responsibility.
Wow! This sociopath is actually pleased with the horrid economy and soul-crushing government power grabs that damaged the entire world, all in the name of protecting us from a ubiquitous virus with a 99.4% survival rate. But it's the control and the desensitization to government orders that gets him hard.
2. Fourth Industrial Revolution technology breakthroughs -- Advances in emerging technologies like AI, blockchain and digitization can enable tracking personal carbon emissions, raise awareness and also provide individual advisories on lower carbon and ethical choices for consumption of product and services. The World Economic Forum's Scale 360 initiative demonstrates the use of fourth industrial revolution technologies across the whole life cycle of products and services.
That's fascist gobbledygook for intrusive technology that will track your every move, and allow government to make you a non-person if you don't play along with their game.
3. Raised awareness and ownership for nature and environment – In the last few years, there is an increased awareness and public concern on climate change and specially among youth. The UNDP’s “Peoples’ Climate Vote” reflects that over 64% of people believe climate change is a global emergency. A new Pew Research Center survey in 17 advanced economies found widespread concern about the personal impact of global climate change: 80% of citizens say they are willing to change how they live and work to combat the effects of climate change. Young adults, who have been at the forefront of some of the most prominent climate change protests in recent years, are more concerned than their older counterparts about the personal impact of a warming planet in many public surveys.
More Newspeak...but what it means is that their lies about Global WarmingTM are working, and the fear of natural cycles that they have stoked for decades will allow them to use the excuse of some mythical planet-killing catastrophe to drive people into overcrowded cities, decrease their standard of living by decreasing their energy use, and make them more compliant by being able to control them more easily.

Here are the facts: energy use is linked to increased standards of living: starting with the processing of the raw materials that drive our modern world, such as ore into steel, crude oil into fertilizers, and 1,000s of other products. The ability to transmit huge amounts of energy cheaply and safely has revolutionized our societies...illumination and cooking, air conditioning, public and private transport...the list goes on and on. All of it dependent on a rational mix of energy sources, but utterly dependent on petroleum as the core energy. Sure, nuclear and hydroelectric (as long as they don't dam my favorite rivers!) are wonderful, and shifting toward nuclear for electricity in many places is a rational, market-driven change. But until there is a technological revolution in energy storage, electricity is not the answer for transport and many other energy uses.

Buried in all of the buzz-word nonsense and catchphrases is the dirty little secret of the globalists; they want us to be their slaves, and the best way to achieve that is to make us profoundly dependent on them for everything. They will dole out monetary credits and energy tokens and housing vouchers to those who adhere to their principles of zero-emissions, carbon-neutral, limited consumption.

Well, at least for us...they will be living as always: jetting around, eating well, living extravagantly, and ruling us with the tools we provided them.

1) Slaves were captured and sold to Europeans by Africans
2) England was the first nation on earth to ban slavery
3) over 2000 young British men died in ships trying to save slaves and stop the slave trade

She suggests perhaps reparations ought be paid by the ancestors of the African kings to the ancestors of British anti-slavery fighters, if any are paid.

Glenn Youngkin (R) swept into office by campaigning to eradicate certain ways of talking about race and American history from the state’s schools. One of his earliest acts as governor was to set up a tip line allowing parents to report teachers for inappropriate behavior.

95 And as we have seen, over half of the world's people want to be enslaved.

That's been one of our blind spots on a national level. It was my personal blind spot during the first part of the "W" years. This idea that everyone, of course, would want to be free. Who wouldn't like all that comes with freedom ?

You are right. It took me until my early thirties to figure it out, but I finally got there. Most people really don't want to be free, because freedom is hard. Freedom could mean you go hungry or cold or die young. Freedom could mean you have less than your neighbor, and the poorest guy on the richest city block in the world still feels poor.

Most people want to be serfs in a wealthy nation under a benevolent monarch. I'm absolutely convinced of that. The yearning to be free is stronger in rural areas than urban, and strongest in rural America most of all, but rural America is the exception.

And that was not the first issue encountered. The "interventions" for C19 were almost all *already* known not to be effective, based on a century of observation and research. The "vaccines" might have been effective, as they were novel, but it doesn't look like they made a material difference either. And any impact they had was as therapeutics - again, transmission and spread were inexorable, as with all such pathogens ever observed.

The ignorant fearful submission of most of the populace, the almost ho-hum instant transmission of government everywhere into soft totalitarian mode, are certainly alarming. But the key is that there was literally no basis for any of it. Just as with "climate" insanity.

I never understood the utility in our modern forces limiting pilots to the officer ranks (or for that matter only allowing commissions to people with degrees). If the goal of officers is leadership, check aptitude among the entire force and train based on that with perhaps a longer commitment period for commissions but no degree required. i'm guessing the degree is a modern-day proxy for wealth and standing... then train for whatever leadership is needed in pilots and open up the candidate pool to motivated enlistees. (obviously on larger flight crews for bombers, tankers, etc. there is a need for the pilot to be in command of the rest of the crew, but maybe *less* for single seat jets). feel free to correct me if there are legitimate reasons for the current requirements or if my understanding is flawed.

The EU's GDPR rules are comprehensive but have lots of weird consequences and implementation (and compliance) are expensive nightmares. It could be simplified. Something like:
1. All data collection must be opt-in. You can ask the customer to opt in, but without affirmative consent, you collect nothing and share nothing
2. All data collection or sharing opt-ins are subject to change at any time by the user. If he decides to opt out, you must make that process simple and it must take effect promptly
3. All data collection must be subject to deletion. If the user demands deletion, you must delete any and all data that are not directly related to the continued rendering of service. If services are canceled, all data must be immediately deleted, including from backups

Thrush was the consortium of scientists, power brokers, and millionaires, and the low-level thugs they employed that was the antagonist in U.N.C.L.E.. At its best, a much creepier and more insidious setup. In one of his original novels, David McDaniel had a Thrush official quote 1984: "The object of power is power."

144 these people are so fucking stupid they think of oil strictly as fuel, and replaceable. It isn't replaceable as an energy source, but that is hardly the point.

Without oil, there are no modern fabrics, no plastics, no paints, far fewer pharmaceuticals...the list is almost endless. Even jet engine manufacture would not be possible without waxes (derived from oil) to make engine turbines. Even gold jewelry, like all those bangles so popular with AWFL's are cast in wax (from oil).

147 Mass illegal migration and associated lawlessness and social damage have never been popular, they've always been quite unpopular, and the issue more than any other led to the extraordinary ascent to the presidency of a total and legit outsider in 2017.

He was neutered, not to mention relentlessly attacked in banzai charge after banzai charge, by the entire permanent government and the opposition, and 95% of "his own" party in power.

But this remains the sole electoral event of any import driven by the issue. Even by 2020, it and all other real issues were sidelined for enough of the electorate, by brainwashing and hysteria, that it was a non-factor.

Any Dem losing power this cycle isn't losing it because of the border and mass illegal migration.

Exactly right -- except the meaning of the acronym was never given on the show. Fan and later pro writer David McDaniel invented it for his first original tie-in novel, saying it dated to the 1890s and had been formed by survivors of Prof. Moriarty's criminal organization. It sounds overwrought and Victorian, doesn't it? Later Norman Felton, the show's exec producer, agreed that it could be canon, though the show was off the air by then.

Like McDaniel's Thrush officers, I usually call it just "The Hierarchy."

I wonder what other missteps were done, either unintentionally or even maliciously. And given TDS, whether it was done intentionally as a stain on the Trump presidency and as an attempt at euthanasia.

Also, the numbers were being jacked up at the time because they were tracked as "with" COVID instead of "because of" COVID. Has that been fixed, or are we still getting mixed data? Especially, are there COVID deaths nowadays from those with the "vaccine", and are they over or under-counted for reasons?

Thanks to Science and Medicine being politicized, we have to look at their purveyors with a political lens.

My favorite part of COVID-19 as it relates to the environment is that pollution increased, even though driving decreased by 90% or whatever. And pollution didn't just increase, but it increased bigly. As did trash taken to dumps, yard waste, etc. Enormous increase in all of that bad stuff because people had time on their hands and were going to clean up, run small engines, ride dirt bikes and four wheelers, go out on boats, etc.

That was hilarious.

Recall that democratic donor that got tried for murder because he picked up mail prostitutes, tied them up the overdosed them and then narcan'ed them back at the brink of death? The sexual pathology is reflective of the mindset. They need control. They need the feedback that control gives them. Deep down they are paralyzed with the fear of death and are trying to control it. Everything these Globalists are doing is pathologic. I would not disagree if you didn't want to psychologize it and called it demonic. They are compelled to do these crazy things because they are terrified, and convinced if they don't have control over EVERYTHING, there will be chaos. The ego self gratification they receive is the point (not climate change or whatever the excuse it). The more control they attain, the less gratification as that sense of control loses novelty (like most fetishes). Thus they can't stop trying to increase control. Its the anatomy of evil. Schwab probably had a terrible relationship with his father.

Mostly, it's because of the (legit) Higher Mathematics that have to be fully internalized in order for one to become a truly adept pilot in the moving, three-dimensional world of aviation. Nope, no degree or higher math really needed at the General Aviation levels, even up to operating a fully IFR twin, that math should be obtainable by an H.S. grad with a bit of algebra and geometry in the mix.

But get into a C-117, with weight and balance factors at that scale, and the maths get exponentially more complex. Fighter pilot mastering Energy Management and effectively staying inside the opponents OODA loop? Gotta know those numbers, and that at an mastery that's become "instinctive", cause it's all happening that fast.

Yeah, plenty of Flight Sgts. flew DC-3s & single engine fighters in WWII. It can be done, it's not impossible. But back then, our schools produced competence.

A nice economics touch: In the days before personal computers, the satraps did not have to buy time on a computer or maintain one. They had access to Thrush's own Ultimate Computer. So the satraps had an economic advantage right there. . . .

Roll shit back before the Information Age, and all this nonsense stops. 204 Just as focusing, during the height of the disaster, on whether the virus was man-made and originated in Wuhan instead of the known lack of efficacy of all the policies and interventions to "fight" it, focusing on how "green" energy involves so much "dirty" and polluting activity completely misses the point.

*There is no reason or basis for "green" energy"*

Just as there was no basis for lockdowns, masks, "social distancing", or my comical favorite, contact tracing (for a prevalent virus! Absurd!).

Not an academic point, at all. The central, key point.

He's right, too. All of the non-metal recycling that people meticulously sorted and rinsed and carefully put into the trucks was shipped to China and piled up into mountains and burned.

China said no more about four years ago and the all-items charade collapsed.

346 Storage isn't the answer. Generation is. Nuclear is the intermediate step, but space-based solar and fusion are the long term solutions.
Posted by: Archimedes at September 20, 2022 10:59 AM (ayzS/)

Storage is an answer. Cheap and efficient mass storage (batteries are neither) of electrical energy would make wind and solar competitive with coal and nuclear for utility generation. The biggest problem with both wind and solar is dispatchability, meaning the ability to deliver the energy when called for. Cheap and efficient mass storage would render that problem moot.

Understand that I am not holding my breath waiting for cheap and efficient mass storage to be invented. I doubt it will ever happen. But some miraculous breakthrough in energy storage would be a huge game-changer.

Russia has basically lost at this point; it's over save for Ukraine grinding this out unless Russia wants to start flinging nukes. They've lost the majority of the armor and aircraft they had in running condition when they started and aren't really capable of building new; all they can do is draw on dwindling cold war stocks and fill them with barely trained crews. They're not going to defeat millions of pissed off, highly motivated Ukrainians like that. Believe it or not the UN has quietly acknowledged this. To get the doom and gloom out of their models, they assume that there is a positive feedback between water vapor and CO2. (i.e CO2 goes up causes water vapor to go up). All over the world. Deserts. The poles. Everywhere.

There is no evidence for this relationship at all. Logically, this relationship would have let to the Earth becoming a hot mess millions of years ago.
