Q - Should local law enforcement be allowed to detain illegal immigrants for minor crimes and transfer them to federal immigration authorities? - Hochul - "NO."

Do I really have to go on? It is laughable in the extreme the reaction to Governors Ron DeSantis' and Greg Abbott's moves to send illegal aliens to sanctuary cities and states. The geschrei about how both of them are dehumanizing these migrants up to the point of Newsom now calling in the Feds to prosecute the governors as human traffickers is comedy gold and disgusting at the same time. He and his ilk, as President Trump tried to stem the tide of what amounts to an invasion of foreign nationals, called that move lawless, while at the same time declaring their jurisdictions "sanctuaries." That is, immune from not only federal but state and local laws that no doubt are on their books (unless they were repealed) but that Nazi collaborator Soros DAs refuse to enforce.

You bastards wanted this and claimed the mantle of moral superiority for staking out a claim that open borders with zero preconditions was sane, logical and humanitarian. "No one is illegal" is your battle cry, I believe. You should be kissing DeSantis' and Abbott's ass in Macy's window, as the saying goes, but instead this is your reaction. The raging chutz-pocrisy is breathtaking in its scope.

50 [redacted because someone got offended that I used an epithet that Cesar Chavez used time and time again] dumped in Obama's backyard is described by the mayor of Martha's Vineyard, which by the way is the most exclusive getaway enclave for politicians and celebrities who fancy themselves as royalty, as a "humanitarian crisis." Well, considering that Martha's Vineyard is about to be swallowed up by rising sea levels, I guess it is. Oh, wait a second. I thought Obama cast his arm over the waters and caused the sea levels to recede back in '08. Humanitarian crisis. You can imagine what the property values on that island are, let alone the taxes there and in Taxachusetts. Funny how leftists with shit-tons of money pinch a penny so hard Lincoln's head comes out the other side. But passing laws forcing you to fork over your cash to pay foreigners and criminals and criminal foreigners is quite another matter.

I am laughing my ass off at these people. I'd be laughing a hell of a lot harder were it not for the fact that because of intentional national policy from this Junta, aided and abetted sadly by elements from the GOPe controlled by the Gas Chamber of Commerce, our border only exists as a line on a map. The former is intent on destroying our national identity for ideological purposes as well as the accrual of power while the latter wants to make a fast buck off of it.

I applaud DeSantis and Abbott. My question is, why isn't every other Republican governor and mayor doing what they are doing simultaneously and without stopping? If that were to occur, you would quickly bring this issue to a head. Same goes for every other issue on the table. Hell, I'm almost tempted to propose emptying the prisons in red states and shipping the convicts off to Martha's Vineyard, or to Titty Caca Ocasio-Cortez's townhouse. She's all in on this "de-carceration" crap so she should be surrounded by the "de-carcerees," n'est pas?

It's great that finally we have at least two leaders who are making the left eat their own words, if not live by their own rules. The problem is, their rules are not meant for them; they're meant for us. Their reaction will no doubt be to sick their goons in and out of government on DeSantis, Abbott and any other official who makes them look ridiculous. Despite the propaganda organs' attempts to spin this, the public understands what's going on and who's at fault. Same as they understand the pain at the pump is not caused by Putin.

We'll see how the junta and its minions react. For now, I'm cheering DeSantis and Abbott on like mad. Load 'em up and ship 'em out. To the hills of Bev-er-lee! Swimmin' pools, movie stars. And jug-eared, dog-eating frauds.

In most of the industries I work, the biggest unsafe working condition remaining has nothing to do with the condition of the equipment. Its working hours. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, good about working people twelve hours a day, seven days a week, for months on end.

And its absolutely happening in the energy sector and many skilled positions (like maintenance and techs) in manufacturing, due to two causes. A lack of qualified people, and a refusal to increase pay rates. One of which drives the other.

If they had convicted Andrew Johnson, impeachment might have gotten the teeth it needed to be a real threat against an out of control executive. It was the prime example. He was wildly (WILDLY) unpopular, having mismanaged reconstruction in a way to piss off literally everyone.

And still, the Senate got cold feet because another election was coming up and they could just vote him out then (which they did).

I think that if Johnson had been successfully convicted, Congress as an institution would have considered itself stronger for decades after that and the executive weaker. Would FDR's presidency have played out the same way with that history?

My wife had surgery in July and we had to wear masks in the building. In her room, before surgery, we of course had our masks off. Her doctor came in to talk to us before the procedure. We started to put the masks back on and he said it was okay, we didn't have to if we didn't want to. So, we left them off. Then he took his off and proceeded to brief us.

I mean, I wanted so bad to yell, "Why the fuck are we being forced to play this ridulous mask game when you obviously know it's bullshit! Why are YOU playing the game? Do you know how silly this makes you look?"

I didn't, of course, because he was going to be operating on my wife and obviously didn't want to piss him off. But it was maddening.

At the time we were having water restrictions.

One of the opponents to the complex pointed out the town was already "full" since we didn't have enough water even for the people here.

But the proponents had an answer...the state decides if we have to have water restrictions so it doesn't matter how many people we have in the town using the town's water supply. This argument won the day.

Silver's model has D holding Senate at 61%, House 29%. That is based on a blended model with polls not weighted very strongly. If only going by polls, their model is D hold senate likelihood 81%, House 41%.

Its not the same business. FedEx has pickups not Amazon. Amazon is almost purely delivery Every one of Amazon's pickup are consolidated at a warehouse, and they don't do drop box pickups, nor do stops purely to pick up packages.

Half the driving costs are in pickup, half in delivery, occasionally one and the same. Amazon cuts out the pickup costs, so they are far less vulnerable to fuel and labor prices.
