The Morning Report — 9/13/22

festerman.jpg

Good morning kids. Tuesday and with only about seven weeks to go until the midterms, the fog of phony polls and the media disinformation psy-op to dispirit you is starting to lift and it certainly seems as if the Democrats are indeed going to be beaten. Whether they will be absolutely wiped out as was predicted months ago or lose one or even both chambers of Congress by a red nether hair's breadth is TBD. That said, do listen to Episode 2 of Season 2 of the podcast where our own Dave in FL gives you the rundown of what he expects will happen and why. It will be "interesting."

But, the one giant fly in the ointment as it were is going to be shenanigans at the polls as well as from Leftist controlled governments and courts that are even now doing whatever they can to sabotage whatever fig-leaf of a pretext of voter integrity laws that might exist, so as to "fortify" the results and preserve "our precious democracy" (*vomits*) from the greatest terrorist threat in history — the American people.

Case in point, from the junta itself that installed Sponge-Brain Shits-Pants in the Oval Office we have this:

The Department of Justice (DOJ) is concealing key documents related to [so-called quote-unquote "president"] Joe Biden’s March 2021 order that directed executive agencies to develop plans for federal interference in state election administration.

On Sept. 8, the Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) was scheduled to receive a series of government records from the DOJ that detailed how the agency is complying with Executive Order 14019. That order mandated all federal departments to “consider ways to expand citizens’ opportunities to register to vote and to obtain information about, and participate in, the electoral process.” Among these included the DOJ’s 15-page “strategic plan” on how the agency intends to comply with Biden’s executive order.

Instead of releasing the documents FGA requested pursuant to federal open records laws, however, the Biden DOJ released only a few records pertaining to the order, most of which were heavily redacted. . .

. . . “The American people deserve to know if the Biden [junta's] unprecedented action is fair and non-partisan, or if it is designed to help one political party over the other,” said FGA President and CEO Tarren Bragdon in a statement. “Why are they ignoring public record requests for strategic plans on federal voter registration efforts? Why are they treating these documents like they are classified information dealing with nuclear weapons? Midterms are approaching, and the DOJ’s failure to disclose information raises troubling issues. They need to reveal these public documents to keep our elections fair.”

Over the years, we've all joked about things like "vote early and often," as well as the not funny at all observation of having to turn out in such numbers as to overcome the steal. It's not funny because it is a sad indicator of the fact that we know we have devolved into a banana republic and yet we're kind of resigned to that fact. Frankly, it disgusts me. That said, it's bad enough when corrupt districts can ballot dump at will and just get away with it. To the point that the ballot dumpers look upon what they do as just part of their job. How low we as a society have sunk.

And yet, we have people who state things like this:

. . . it is time we stop seeking reason from the progressive socialist left. So many articles, social media posts, and commentary have been published in the aftermath of Biden’s quite disturbing rant. However, the progressive socialist left fully believes it was a great speech. Never mind the ominous and eerie choice of color backdrop on Independence Hall, or the use of two US Marines standing in the background. Never mind the direct targeting of a portion of Americans and their demonization as fascists while declaring them a threat. Biden could have also directed comments towards groups like Antifa and BLM who have been responsible for some of the worst violence, destruction, and death in America.

Nope. . .

. . . The time has come when we must realize that we cannot reason with those who believe that their designed ideological ends justify any means they use.

The progressive socialists do not care that America has a drug, human, and sex trafficking issue–they want open borders. The leftists do not care that violent crime is out of control because of their bail reform agenda—they just blame Republicans. The leftists will starve our children of lunch if schools do not teach their gender dysphoria agenda–they don’t want to educate our children. . .

. . . Joe Biden crossed a Rubicon from which I do not know there is a reconciliation. Under the quite demonic aura presented on Thursday night he spoke not of unity, but of punishment for non-conformity. Hence why the federal government needs 87,000 new IRS agents who must be comfortable with being armed and the use of deadly force. . .

. . . Despots and dictators demonize their opposition to make their destruction more palatable. When you seek a discussion based upon truth, then again leftists do not believe in objective truths, and you’re only met with frothing screaming emotional invectives…there is no opportunity for reason.

There is no opportunity to seek compromise with those will not participate in good faith. They must be beaten at the polls. And then Republicans must have the guts to beat them back with public policy that promotes individual liberty.

That, gentle reader, is from none other than Lt. Col. Allen West. It is just striking to me that people like him can and do call it like it is, to one degree or another. And yet their only solution is "VOTE HARDER." How in God's name can you deal with people who won't act in good faith, and who control the election process, by casting ballots that they and they alone will count, or not, as the case may be? I suppose it's extremely difficult for most people to accept the reality of a situation when that reality is so utterly abhorrent and just a few short years ago, was the stuff of big screen political pot boilers. It Can't Happen Here, Seven Days in May, The Manchurian Candidate, and The Parallax View were supposed to be works of fictions, not documentaries. And yet, we have the intelligence and law enforcement communities eagerly working either directly with or with the tacit approval of politicians of both parties and corporatists to rig elections, arrest and prosecute/persecute political opponents and silence any and all opposition.

This is fact, not fiction. It can happen here because it did happen here and it's going on as we speak. Look, I'm not trying to dispirit you or, crazy as it sounds after my rant against Allen West, tell you not to vote. I think you have to vote, no matter what. But to believe that voting alone is going to change the trajectory of the nation when perhaps fully half the citizenry hate you and are being urged by the highest echelons of leadership to wipe you out because you are the moral equivalent of cancer, is ridiculous.

We are heading for an inflection point and a point of no return. That is unless we passed that point already, which I believe we did almost two years ago. Best thing to do is organize, stay active especially at the local school and community board level, and arm yourself to the teeth. That is, unless you plan on using a credit card.

    ABOVE THE FOLD, BREAKING, NOTEWORTHY

  • "While the DOJ hides information about how the federal government is intervening in the upcoming election, guaranteeing that the results will be held in suspicion, Biden, his party, and their allies in the media are claiming that the midterm election is about defending 'democracy' from its opponents, and liken those who doubt election results to traitors and terrorists."

Knowing that elections aren't viable, there's really only two options. Continue eroding the public's acceptance of this solidifying Gangster Progressivism and hope the gangsters realize the game isn't worth the candle, or... Type-Delete.

I'm on FB (I know, I know) for hobby purposes. A woman posted a Tweet that suggested that if all men disappeared from the earth for 24 hours then women could go around feeling safe from assault. It got me so angry I went through the list and unfollowed almost every woman on it so that I'd never have to see their posts.

Suddenly, my feed became peaceful. No angry rants, no stupid memes. It sometimes makes me think that if men were asked what they'd do if all women disappeared from the earth for 24 hours, they'd say, "Can you make it 48? How about a week?"

But to believe that voting alone is going to change the trajectory of the nation when perhaps fully half the citizenry hate you and are being urged by the highest echelons of leadership to wipe you out because you are the moral equivalent of cancer, is ridiculous.

Imagine a rather short cartoon character, it is late in the day and his shadow is long and forbidding looking. But it is not a true reflection of his height or strength. This is the progressive group, thinking they are of that size. But it was only because of a 'fortified' election with enough of a stench that it will eventually become known to all.

A massive repudiation at the polls in November will reveal their real size, which is puny. It's the first step in many that will be required to turn things around. But a bloody nose has stopped many a fight from progressing further. Contribute your vote to the punch that bloodies their nose.

They've raided Trump and Trump's attorney's and associates, and I think some RNC folks. And the premise was asking the same question that Democrats had asked in 2016 and every election Republicans had been allowed to win prior. Free speech, protected by the 1st Amendment, but not anymore. Now it's the basis for search warrants and seizures.

This is a lesson for everyone else, same as January 6th was. Trump will have a hard time getting attorneys, much less campaign staff.

Nonetheless, Russia’s failure in this war has now clearly demonstrated it is no longer a strong military threat to Europe, or to the west. Its nuclear weapon capabilities are certainly a concern, but no one need fear its ability to invade and conquer any of its neighbors.

Makes you wonder about all those scenarios way back when of the Bolshevik hordes storming to the Rhine. If they can't achieve their aims against a penny-ante backwater like Ukraine that's right next door, how could they project force west into Europe proper?

93 There is no opportunity to seek compromise with those will not participate in good faith.
++++
It's a bit worse than that. This statement is true, but it misses another point. Even if your opponent operates in good faith, you still cannot reach a compromise with him if you and he do not share certain basic, fundamental common rules or expectations. The man who puts a gun in your face and says, "your money or your life" is operating in good faith - he means what he says and he is upfront about it and is consistent in his pursuit - but you cannot compromise with him because you disagree on the root premises.

So it is with the progs. Many of them *do* operate in good faith, but compromise is impossible because there is no agreement. Not on nation-state government, not on public government, not on anything. There can be no compromise when there is no even basic agreement on the rules. You have to agree on *something* in order to agree on *anything.* The divergence is now so great that there is essentially no fundamental, basic agreement. Negotiation and compromise are impossible in such an environment.

The attitude was that it was contained by our federal system. Up to a point, it worked. But the fact that we allowed these places to fester, and the rot to spread, well, we're paying for it now. I do not know the answer. But I admit my attitude was part of the problem.

119 People like Alan West apparently feel they have a lot to lose if they speak out about fraud, stolen elections, the illegal activities of the feds and so on. These people have outlets that allow them to voice their opinions to thousands, if not more people. They're also afraid.

Some, like Trump and a few of his allies are probably "concerned" but not afraid. They have resources and visibility that to one degree or another shield them. That seems to be crumbling.

Some of the public has come to conclusion that it's better to remain silent or at least not antagonize the junta. Others, not so much.

I seem to recall that most banana republics were overthrown by the citizens when all the opposition voices were silenced, either by prison or death. The public was then required to do the dirty work their political betters couldn't handle.

Two distinct problems here

1) The FNM hides the truth from LIVs making it harder to realize you were lied to.

2) Deficit spending allows the government hide just how much money we are wasting. If they had to take it out in taxes instead of longer term inflationary spending it would be harder to deny the impact government is having on people's lives

It's hard regardless of age and should be commended when it happens. It took me about six years to fully reject the globalist economics I was brought up on and understand that free trade is not a universal, inherent good regardless of reciprocity and that the model and theory were fundamentally flawed and unworkable.

It's hard. It takes work. It requires a lot of education, and it is almost always self-directed.

For them to feel ashamed, they would need a conscience, to not deny the existence of their soul and a belief in Christ Almighty. The left has none of these.

More FBI whistleblowers have stepped forward to Congress and accused high-ranking bureau officials of bringing unauthorized smartphones into top-secret facilities, a security breach that can expose classified materials.

This time, the FBI said it is investigating the complaints and “takes all security matters seriously.”

The alleged security violations occurred in a sensitive compartmented information facility or SCIF set up for the executive offices on the 7th floor of the FBI’s J. Edgar Hoover Building, according to the whistleblower.

167 It's hard regardless of age and should be commended when it happens. It took me about six years to fully reject the globalist economics I was brought up on and understand that free trade is not a universal, inherent good regardless of reciprocity and that the model and theory were fundamentally flawed and unworkable.

Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at September 13, 2022 08:26 AM (t0OGg)

Economic texts on this are reasonably clear. Free trade will adhere to the most profitable arrangement, but doesn't take into consideration social structure or conflicts between countries. There's also labor mobility in a trade zone that isn't an economic union to take into consideration.

In terms of predictability of the model, it's pretty straightforward with things being produced where they're most efficient and then trading for the rest. It also tends to be easy to see how a policy change would alter a country's production decisions.

Pundits conflated most efficient and most profitable with best. Other than noting that commodity focused economies probably want to regulate trade to diversify, the books don't much comment about best.

But this is a discourse, a blog or whatever. I know people read these comments, so this is exactly that. The real things I've done came with no threat at all. Why would I warn an enemy? That's stupid.

One of the first things DeSantis did in FL after winning was clean up the election process in Miami-Dade and surrounding areas. This is the way. Because ultimately it doesn't matter how good the candidate is or the policy if elections can be stolen.

There are probably a ton of reasons. One of them is probably (and it's probably a big reason) people dipping into reserves to deal with inflation. $400 billion is a lot of money, and most people aren't billionaires, so it isn't the whole story but it's probably a part of it and I'd love to see the internals. My bet is that the draw-down is mostly the middle class (formerly upper-middle-class, a few years ago) and among the ultra-huge depositors.

Reagan had the 'Caribbean Basin Initiative' which somehow increased trade between a powerful nation and a few dozen poor islands. That didn't hurt the US economy at all, so the experiment continued with NAFTA - which hurt a lot of the manufacturing economy. But it was still kicking so the Senate approved permanent most favored trade status with China - a nation with at least three times our population. Until we put China back on a year to year basis we're screwed.

All the Democratic Party knows how to do anymore is message and poll. They don't know how to govern, but they can use Hollywood to tell people that things are great when they're bad and bad when they're good.

Their leaders don't achieve power anymore by being good at anything. They achieve power by having the right skin color and genitals (or adopting an extra fake oppression mantle) or doing things that appeal to internal politics of the party. Cleaning up streets, keeping the economy in good order through a light government touch, or managing foreign policy successes are simply not important for them anymore.

They are the worst kind of political machine, the kind that actively encourages destruction at the local level to increase political power. The problem is that they can drive people out of Chicago, but they haven't gotten to the point where they drive people out of the US. The number of people pissed about the situation is simply increasing and not really going anywhere nationally.

Cereals/Bakery products: +16.4%
Meat. poultry, fish, eggs: +10.6%
Dairy: +16.2%
Fruits/Vegetables: +9.4%

The cereals seem to be roughly in line with my experience, but the rest is not, especially meat and vegetables. Those are quite a lot higher than the printed figures in my experience.

I think that the effort can easily and accurately be described as trying to suppress black votes. The aim of negative ads is to prevent votes, not change votes.

However, suppressing votes is only good when it's directed at the white working class.

Last night's story about the CDC and an admission of the issue with Myocarditis? That's bald-faced obfuscation.
I am an actual scientist and I looked at the VAERS data last Spring, after my brother collapsed, post second Pfizer. At that time, I had heard there might be an issue with Myocarditis, because something needed to be said with healthy, young people dying. They didn't ever say it, but the huge issue is with Pericarditis in folks that are not young. The rate of the reported deaths was at least 10:1, last I checked, Pericarditis:Myocarditis. Myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart muscle fibers. Pericarditis is the inflammation of the Pericardium, the sac in which the heart resides. Second Pfizer gave my brother's heart a nice, big hug. At least I can appreciate the thought.

If you read the Bible and devote yourself to Jesus Christ as your savior you will find faith. It is inevitable. Easy? Oh no way. Life is largely a search for the truth. In it, there are many temptations and roadblocks to finding peace through a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you focus on the things of this world, none of it makes sense. If you focus on the Word, it does, or at least it gives you some perspective. Devote yourself to Jesus, every day. Work to uphold his statutes, precepts, principles and his Word. You will stumble, we all do. We are human. But he will always be there to lift you up. He will never leave you, even if you leave him. Trust me, if he can save me, anyone can be saved. YMMV.

A shipping container, the shit inside it, and the cost to move it are a known constant cost. What changes is the value of the unit of trade to buy it. Same goes for a measure of wheat or corn. It may vary based on the year and growing season but the real change in prices is what value people place on the present value of a coin and what they believe that coin will be worth next month or next year.

Inflation is a 100% a government created problem.

343 CPI came in very hot. That should not be a shock to anyone. Inflation is still way too stubbornly high where it is. None of that is good. All of this presages a continued recession. There is nothing positive on the horizon to change any of that. The SPR emptying will continue to have negative effects and substantial risks. Don't expect anything to get better until some material economic and tax moves are made.

My dad has a big bowl of what he calls "soup" (really a cross-point between porridge and stew) for breakfast. Saltines go with it. Supply has been so intermittent that he has learned how to make his own for when he can't get them. He prefers the store-bought product, but will sub in homemade when they're unavailable.

Saltine availability problems. And this country used to make fun of the USSR.

I'd love to know for sure if they are measuring weight and cost or just taking a look at a one dollar 12 ounce can of soup that is now a 10.5 ounce can of soup that now costs $1.10 and they say "it's just ten percent inflation!"

I suspect the latter, because what people see in real life reflects 40-50% inflation. My wife commented that we're seeing 2019 gas station / convenience store prices for items at grocery stores in 2022.

352 The thing about "elections" is that the left has been working behind the scenes at the local, state and federal level to create an environment where they can openly alter the outcome via fraud, ballot harvesting, arresting or killing off the opposition, etc. There are states/counties where it's impossible for a free and fair election to occur, potentially ever again.

I'd like to see the left have their collective asses handed to them this fall. However I don't think they'll take that sitting down (pun intended.) They'll resort to those "laws" and "rules" they've bastardized to shoehorn in their preferred candidates under the guise of "election integrity."

And there's a reason the Republicans are being vilified by the junta ahead of the mid-terms. How unseemly would it be for a domestic terrorist to be elected to office? There should be a law about that....

It is the latter - one can of "family size" soup is the same choice, no matter if the size shrinks. That's what the 60 minutes stories about "shrinkflation" hiding inflation were all about.

It's harder to do for meat and fish (and to a lesser extent produce/eggs), so you see trade downs in the "market basket" every so often for some inflation numbers, but not usually a shrinkflation effect...

Lets say I hoard something. What is its shelf life? What did I pay for it yesterday and what is it worth today?

Lets say its a dollar! If I stick it in a sock drawer and need it next year do I get a dollars worth of value. Probably not!

410 Regardling Gov. Hochul's outrageous "emergency" declaration in New York:

1. No one has been reported to have polio. Heath officials have found polio "samples" from wastewater.

2. This second "finding" is not a second person because there is no second or first person. There is only two separate samples from wastewater. The same person could have used two separate bathrooms on two separate days, etc.

3. The person may have been a foreign visitor from out of state or out of country. Orange County has a very large Hasidic Jewish population and the person may have been a visitor from the Middle East.

4. The strain of polio is actually created from a person who received the live polio virus. Polio is not being spread through nature, but through vaccines.

How Lockdowns Broke Human Capital

Quick and dirty: Why should people work or invest when they see that government employees and politicians can - and will - tell them those investments are not "essential" and destroy them on a whim when someone has the sniffles 3000 miles away?

I'm not. Fire away!

Until the political leaders (and punditry) on the right reflexively demonstrate they cares about our values and not the uniparty values, I say "they are not of the body!" Too much "build the dang fence" theatrics and "shoot them, that's why you have a gun" in reality.

My wife and I ate a turkey two weeks ago, instead of buying chicken, and I went in to buy another yesterday. Up nearly 6 % in two weeks. I guess I'm not the only guy buying turkeys to save money.

Posted by: Huck Follywood at September 13, 2022 09:27 AM

At Aldi's - where I shopped earlier this week - I could buy both turkey breast and chicken breast at about the same price ~4.00 a pound. But I could buy chicken 'quarters' at 1.19 a pound. So I have a bunch of them in the freezer. Quarters are actually better tasting. But you gotta sous vide them for hours at 204 degrees F.

424 The major newspapers? The once-young journalists? The last two and a half years showed them to be shills for what have been revealed to be genocidal imperial powers. They became media versions of sex workers, scheduling time to deliver blow jobs to whomever would write them the biggest checks.

All these idiots claiming courts never found "evidence of fraud" are missing the point. And elections conducted outside of the rules established by the legislature are, by definition, fraudulent.

Aside from that.. there was plenty of actual fraud too...
I don't think we need to water it down. They took every angle they could.. and still had to stuff the boxes last min at the end.

431 Sefton, who in the world says voting is enough? Maybe RINOs who can't deny the guy they let get in office is really F'ing things up, but MAGA knows full well "just voting" won't change anything.

You need to watch Bannon's War Room to see all the MAGA patriots all over the country who are fighting against the DEM-RINO election fraud machine. They'll get away with it here and there, but the days of cart blanche, of our naïve blindness to their evil, is over.

I'll write in Captain Crunch, Mr. Clean, General Zod... and on down the list. I'm doing this because the Republicans earned this by doing NOTHING to stop the steal of a presidential election. A party that does nothing, deserves nothing. Suck it, G.O.P.!
