So I've been looking at this "tightening" in the polls and I think I see what is going on.
Democrat numbers are not moving, they are holding steady. What is moving is Republican support is going down and being converted into "undecided"
But if you dig down into the crosstabs, those "undecideds" are certain to vote. They aren't "maybe I will vote if I feel like it and don't have anything better to do". They are going to vote, period.
They know perfectly well who they are voting for. They just don't trust the pollsters enough to tell them.

My theory is that these are mostly if not all vengeful, bitter women who hate men, and are directing that hatred towards mostly male children. I speak under correction, but IIRC I believe that while the American outright International Communists were pro-Stalin until the Pact. Progressives, on the other hand, were more pro-Nazi and Italian Fascist. At the time the USSR was still a rather primitive country but Germany was all Modern and Regulated and Efficient. That really got the Progressive's juices flowing.
But, as stated by someone above, the end of Progressive's love affair with Nazis may have ended when they broke the Pact, instead of when they declared war on America, I am unclear on that.
