Very fun movie in the Tarantino/Coen Bros violent comedy mode with a smidge of 1940s Looney Tunes thrown into the mix.

Loads of action, some nice twists and good jokes. Broadly acted but well acted and good crisp direction.

Lovely. Welp, if they get the society that they're angling for, I hope they get to experience it up close and personal.

I love the movie. The set up and the way they almost describe Money as two different characters: the one he is after years with his family and wife and the one he used to be. The movie is about stripping away the man he became and unveiling who he was.

That's why I have trouble watching it. The man spent a lot of time trying to be a better person and in the end, who he was came out because of circumstance. It is like a reverse redemption arc. That makes it hard to rewatch.

395 I've been watching The King's Speech. You have to watch it several times to appreciate the transformation of the relationship between the King and Logue, the speech therapist.

At first the Duke of York asserts his royalty over Logue. Logue insists in calling him Bertie and says, "My castle, my rules."

In the end, Logue intrudes by sitting in the Throne of St. Edward, which is forbidden. He agitates by scorning royalty.

In the end, Bertie calls him "my friend" and Logue calls Bertie "Your majesty" which he had never done before in the entire movie.

So nuanced and powerful.
