Eilean? Probably some uneven shifting of the rocky soil on that island. Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos has ended a controversial partisan review of the 2020 election, which he and GOP legislators had funded for the past year, days after Vos defeated a primary challenger.
Vos ended the review and removed the chief investigator, former state Supreme Court Justice Michael Gableman, on Friday, after more than a year and over $1 million in spending. On Tuesday, Vos narrowly won his primary over an opponent who had endorsements from both former President Donald Trump and Gableman. Posted by: Cat Ass Trophy at August 12, 2022 07:55 PM (hwoGt) 30

From noted political powerhouse People Magazine:
To obtain a warrant to search for and retrieve Trump's White House records from Mar-a-Lago, the FBI needed approval from a "neutral and detached" federal judge. To get the judge's signature, investigators had to demonstrate probable cause by showing there was reasonable information to support the possibility that evidence of illegality will be found during the search. The execution of a search warrant does not mean that Trump committed or is accused of a crime. Posted by: Cat Ass Trophy at August 12, 2022 08:11 PM (hwoGt) 75

Regardless, that was a good Star Trek episode. Also consider: it was a completely outside the box story. So many of the best OG Star Trek episodes were just from various sci-fi authors adapted for the show. And then we get four or five series where they just endlessly repeat the various shows TOS did.

Looks like Creamsickle, the huge orange & white cat who occasionally visited me (like weekly) is now making it daily. He comes over and sits in some shrubbery below my back window waiting for me. If I don't come out after awhile (like, how do I know he's there?), he yowls for me. He won't let me pet him though he'll eat out of my hand and likes to give me blinks. Some feral cats just take a long time to get comfortable with humans. "Creamy" is the largest cat I've ever seen IRL. He's also got a beautiful coat, big ears and paws, just a handsome and well-groomed cat. Hungry though. How he manages to get enough food as big as he is, mystery.

He knows that 20 yrs from now people will only remember Old Man's War and none of the other shit he wrote - not Redshirts, not his re-writing Piper, not his online woke warrior act, none of it. Hates that he'll be remembered as a one-hit wonder, if that. And he desperately wants to write something that will stand alongside OMW, but he can't and that eats a hole in his soul.
Posted by: J. Frank Parnell at August 12, 2022 09:26 PM (bnAdj) Redshirts really sucked. And I really wanted to like it. I tried to like it. I -forced- myself to sit down and read a chapter at a time, until I was saved by the local library that demanded I return the book. I was one of the three people that checked that book out. And the last. I later saw it in a "Five Dollar For a Milk Crate of Books" sale they held. Posted by: Sticky Wicket at August 12, 2022 09:32 PM (CCf67) 298

He said inventories of all classified and unclassified documents whereabouts are to be known every 90 days. He said it is impossible that the feds did not know what Trump had and if he had super secret National security documents that were a danger to the country they would have left them with him for 18 months.
