This won't happen. The networks aren't going to turn down LIV money - especially when many of the best golfers in the world are there already. Besides, the networks can use the leverage when negotiating the next deal with the PGA, when it inevitably comes up.
I predict that there will eventually be a merger between the two. Oh, and don't forget the USGA, which hosts the US Open. They don't seem to mind LIV.

Starlink isn't really big tech though. It's basically another telecom company, and kind of a niche one at that. If they hit their 2025 revenue target, then they'll be slightly less than half the size of T-Mobile which is half the size of AT&T and Verizon.

That's about where I am on this LIV thing. I don't follow golf very closely so I don't know whether the PGA is a bunch of sluts, but since every other monopolistic sportsball league has outed itself as a bunch of sluts in the last couple of years I must necessarily assume, by weight of numbers, that this probably happened because the PGA is also a bunch of sluts and thus did it to themselves.
And if we're going to have economic war with the Saudis--which I'm not opposed to really--it seems like a much more logical place to start would be energy independence and not getting sucked into the Arabs' constant regional strife.

The LIV thing is weird. They could have played nice and done a non-US international league with off-season events to avoid direct competition, and players could have crossed over without picking one or the other. I assume the PGA threatened to go nuclear in that scenario, so the Saudis decided a frontal assault was the only answer. It'll be interesting to see if the PGA follows through with excommunicating players from majors and year end ranking point championships.

That's expected, but note the trend is a speeding up. And that's what's interesting.

Note the "Chandler wobble" is what's interesting here. The rotational axis of the earth has very complex, but tiny "nutations" due to all sorts of effects (the dynamics of non-rigid rotating bodies in gravitational fields get very, very, very complex. We'd need Kamala Harris to explain it, of course).
The Chandler wobble is the variation of the earth's axis of rotation relative to the surface. Ie, the north pole moves around the surface a little bit. From 2017 to 2020, it just stopped moving around. And that's very strange.
They thought it was a fixed thing, but nope, it varies.

I went out one evening with a slab of sliced ham in my hand, and hunkered down, and held it out to a red fox. The fox slowly approached, snagged the slice of ham from my hand, and jumped back a couple of yards, and gobbled it down. Don't know if it was a male or female. Pretty animals. foxes.

We've had many positive leap seconds. With a negative leap second, will go like this. On the assigned day, UTC will skip a second right at midnight. That is, the time will go from 23:59:58 to 0:00:00 next day, skipping the last second.

For low acidic foods, you've to do the pressure method, which gets the temperature higher (240F). But same method.
The lids suck in and go concave. If it doesn't do that, it failed. In reading, they recommend taking the bands off for storage. That will allow you to easily spot a failed seal. If you keep the bands on and tight, that can mask it.

Pixy rejected my less than or equal. High acidic level is a pH less than or equal to 4.6. 212F in enough there. But for higher pH, you need the higher pressure cooker temperatures.

Let me tell how infuriating the US govt. is. The USDA has not updated the canning guidelines since the '50s. No money. All the trillions and trillions spent on nonsense and they can't even modernize the canning recipes.
Back in the '80s they reviewed some of the recipes and procedures and found they failed too much. Summer squash is an example. And so, they're removed the squash recipe from the modern manuals.
My mother's old '50s manuals has the old squash procedure in it.
Modern pressure cookers are standard at 15 psig, while all the canning procedures are based on 10 psig, due to the older pressure vessels. They could easily update it to the higher pressure (250F), but they won't do it.

Bacteria do not like acid so a lower temperature suffices. They like alkaline media so the high temperature is needed to kill them. Unfortunately molds are just the opposite.

Re the psych drugs, particularly SSRIs. That's going to turn a certain, but small percentage of young me (at least, maybe womyn) into "rage monsters". There have been a couple of studies that calculate an excess "rage monster" rate based on this.

Reading some more, mold contamination seems to be one of the big problems with the paraffin wax seals. Also, too wide temperature excursions during storage can crack it.

I'm not really down with hunting non-human animals -- unless you eat/share what you kill. Then I'm totally good with hunting. I understand that in Nature everything wants to kill you, including that sweet cuddly black bear cub. Well, maybe not the bear cub this time, but Momma Bear will have something to say I'm sure. So one might kill that which one does not want on the menu but strictly out of self-preservation. I get that, too.
But just killing any random ol' animule for the shits and giggles of it or, worse, simply because you can, that mentality I just don't get. I had this conversation here a week or so ago: I don't go out and hunt/torture/kill mice in the wild; a live and let live guy, if you will, because that's the mice's turf. But if they come into my abode, then I'll hunt down the vermin and kill them. No fun in it, though, just a cold-hearted eviction notice -- carried out by any means necessary.

I've been a fan of pressure cookers for some time. Reduces cooking time greatly, roughly 1/3 as a general rule, although some foods will cook much faster than that. Dried black-eyed peas. Don't even need to soak em. 22 minutes under pressure, and they're soft and fine. Some dried beans, though you still need to soak 'em.
In reviewing the procedures with canning under pressure, you've got to be a lot more meticulous. You want to vent all the air out, and that includes the head space over the jars, too. So, you get it boiling, and let it vent for 10 minutes, before you close it down and raise the pressure.
And they want you to make sure to get all the air bubbles out of the jars before you immerse them. You want the head space over the jars to be nothing but water vapor, so the pressure will go way down once it cools, giving the vacuum seal. Also, air is full of all kinds of bacteria and spores and shit.

Plus, picked a bunch of berries. Got them cleaned & frozen for cooking once weather cools off. I think the pre-freezing may aid in juice extraction, too.

The pressure is "gauge pressure", the difference between the pressure inside the vessel and atmosphere. The temperature vs. saturation pressure depends on the absolute pressure.
The standard pressure is based on no more than 1000' above sea level. Higher than that, and you're gonna have to adjust the gauge pressure higher to compensate. All of the canning manuals have that conversion info in them.
