However, he took the name Abu Talha al-Almani after joining ISIS. Cuspert is one of the most ferocious foreign fighters within ISIS ranks and once featured in a video where he held a severed head and threatened then-president Barack Obama.

Somehow, Greene fell in love with Cuspert, who convinced her to come join him in Syria. She told her husband that she was going to visit her parents in Germany before fleeing to Syria through Turkey. She was two weeks into her marriage when she realized that life as an ISIS bride wasn’t that rosy. Months later, she fled back to the US, where she was sentenced to two years in prison.

207 FBI director James Comey came under fire in 2015 after he claimed that some Poles aided the Nazis during World War II. In an opinion article written for The Washington Post, Comey stated that he always sent new FBI intelligence analysts and special agents to the Holocaust Museum because he wanted them to see how humans abused their powers.

Seems like an unnecessary trip. All they had to do was look at Comey.

I mentioned before the argument I heard from Barnes on youtube about the pervasive and circular nature of the police complex. I am still not sure where I stand on things, but all I know is any power concentrated will eventually be subverted by people who crave that power. So you have to try to set things up so that that power either does not exist, or cannot be used for bad ends (and I think that last is nearly impossible.)

- money. Agents love field offices where they can "investigate" while banging locals on expense accounts. On a bigger scale, any crisis is source of new funds, new offices, new management positions. Crises = money = good!

- taking credit for shit that already happened. It doesn't matter about preventing crime, but once it happens the fbi has to be seen as essential.

286 I have assumed for years that any backround check records or other firearms records are kept by the government forever, despite it supposedly being illegal for them to do so. How would we ever know about an unofficial database, that could be anywhere?

It is known that illegally repurposed surveillance records from NSA are routinely used for law enforcement invrstigations. The illegal information is laundered into admissable evidence by "getting lucky" and finding other evidence, guided by the illegal data.

Yeppers and they also buy gobs of data from internet providers, financial institutions, traffic cam operators, etc. The funny thing is that the mass of data really only works after the crime is committed and prevents few if any actual attacks. A lot of the War on Terror prosecutions derived from actual undercover informants contacting and 'handling' informants much as what happened in Michigan with the Whitmer kidnapping prosecutions. The lead Feeb guy for that got promoted and sent to DC to go after the Jan 6 paraders.

291 FBI did not catch Kaczynski. His brother turned him in. The FBI likely would have never caught him.

The Green River Killer probably killed hundreds of women, finally turned himself in because they FBI and cops of 3 states couldn't find him.

292 The guy who caught Ted Kazinski pioneered creating a suspect profile based on their writing style, word choice, references. Very interesting. He had already narrowed down where Ted grew up, attended school based on his written rants. Per the Manhunt series, this FBI guy left after the Kazinski case, IIRC.

About the only way these agencies like the CIA or FBI work is when they were largely "conservative" way back when, they largely steered clear of domestic politics. But not now, these new agencies are the Democrat KGB.

Parallel construction. Use illegal methods to "find" legal evidence, and then they fail to disclose how they "found" such evidence.

How did they get a hold of a record of 7 prior firearm transactions - that is supposed to be used only for firearm tracing after a crime - without a warrant and probable cause that a crime has been committed? Same as ever; they abuse this guy's rights. They circumvent that whole warrant/PC hurdle by trying to coerce consent, which they seemed to have done successfully here.

It makes sense to have a flying squad type set up of experts who have specific skills. Also national labs that set defensible standards for the necessary science.

The problem is that the fbi does neither since they are focused on money and power. So shit happens and they send a bunch of unskilled, inexperienced asshats to a local office to thrash about and spend money. The novices investigate since the big money and power is in DC. It is like all federal agencies with no oversight. None at all.

360 The FBI is great but its only a few bad apples crowd would continuously say that the FBI was full of these ham and egger agents who just do their job and don't approve of all the political shenanigans. People like Joe DiGenova used to say it. He swore he had a lawsuit coming from rank and file and retired agents. But, nah.

If you listen to him now he sounds like AllenG

But they were under Clinton and Janet Reno.

Even though I think those were terrible incidents, I can sort of understand how things unfolded there and it's not distinctly "political" like it is now. To me its more like a case of police brutality, I cant say ALL cops are bad because someone got too rough.

These agencies now though are like 3rd world goon squads against conservatives.

Declare Emergency will organize roadblocks, including a conga line to disrupt traffic, and rallies at national monuments throughout the week of Oct. 1—all to put enough strain on the nation’s capital to push Biden to take executive action on climate change, group leader Donald Zepeda told the Washington Free Beacon. During the “week of arrest,” Declare Emergency aims for up to 100 protesters to be arrested for “nonviolent civil disobedience action.”

373 I was surprised that while it says [truthfully I'd imagine] that the fire was set by the B. Davidians themselves and not due to F.I.B. action,

Which, of course, is yet another lie. There is was video footage of the FBI ramming the building with a tank and pumping gas into the compound prior to the Feds setting it on fire.

Then the federal arsonists set it on fire to satisfy Janet Nero's blood lust for death of religious people.

Then for another insult, they were gunning down people who fled the building.

Then for the last insult, they drove tanks all over the compound grinding all evidence into dust immediately after the immolation and mass murder of the Davidians.

378 353 We send the FBI to arrest people for SEC violations. Which isn't exactly the hardest thing to do. Most of their stuff, like drug war, seems to be duplicative, although in some sense it may be that we created specialized agencies over time to replace the umbrella role the FBI had at inception.

Posted by: Red Turban Someguy
------------------
It never had an umbrella role formally assigned, it got the power by shivving the other law enforcement agencies and pushing them aside to get to the microphones first. It was the FDR's use of the commerce clause powers granted to them by Congress that caused all federal law enforcement agencies to get superpowers. One of the Supreme Court's worst decisions is Wickard v. Filburn to this day. Hope Clarence and Alito send that decision into the grave soon.
