It is amusing to see how the Neo-NAZIs in the Uke military/government went from Neo-NAZIs to just uh, misunderstood nationalists (as if the FNM is normally ok with that) as soon as Biden's controllers told them to.

So... Question.
A quick online search of this guy (who I hadn't heard of before) says he was arrested by the Nazis following their invasion of Ukraine because he declared himself and his organization the head of an independent Ukraine that would cooperate with Nazi Germany. So he essentially spent from the start of Barbarossa until 1944 in a German prison. Then the Nazis hauled him out to send him back into Ukraine (which the Soviets had retaken that summer) to operate behind Soviet lines as a partisan leader. My question is - When did this guy have an opportunity to round up Jews for the Nazis? Does anyone know enough about this guy to help me out? Posted by: junior at July 21, 2022 04:32 PM (Feb39) 100

His book about traveling back in time to stop the Kennedy assassination was one of the grandest fusterclucks of narrative-unraveling and idiotic confirmation bias that I've ever read. If I recall correctly, the long string of consequences that derived from Kennedy not getting his head blown off culminated in Hillary never getting to be president. Result: world in chaos. It was fascinating the way a mile-long train of blazing dumpsters plowing through a day care is fascinating.

The Election Integrity Partnership was formed in late 2020. It was initially funded by the government (CISA) and Stanford University to address any expected complaints in the upcoming election. A report created by the EIP shared damning information on this group.
The initial idea for the Partnership came from four students that the Stanford Internet Observatory (SIO) funded to complete volunteer internships at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) at the Department of Homeland Security. Responsibility for election information security is divided across government offices: CISA has authority to coordinate on cybersecurity issues related to the election, the FBI to investigate cyber incidents and enforce election laws, and intelligence agencies to monitor for foreign interference. Yet, no government agency in the United States has the explicit mandate to monitor and correct election mis- and disinformation. Posted by: SMOD at July 21, 2022 04:37 PM (RHGPo) 141

So Stephen King's advice on story, writing, publishing, etc. might be valuable. Outside of that sphere, it's just his opinion in other areas and it carries no more weight than anyone else's opinion and I might agree with it or not. He got trolled, but can't acknowledge that his ego got in the way and so he got rooked. That's the real problem. As you say, he appears to be drinking his own Kool-Aide. Well, normally I would say "as their collective penis' swell" but there hasn't been any testosterone in the media in 50 years or more. Its been all Victorian age hysterics over there since the 1980's.
If you read the article, poorly written as they always are, you realize that, no, Bannon is not getting sent to Attica - only the toddlers over at MSNBC would send him there. Posted by: Anti doesn't matter at July 21, 2022 04:55 PM (epFyj) --- The whole point of the Monster Hunter series is to take B-movie plots/monsters and then make the heroes reasonably intelligent and extremely well armed. The Jim Butcher urban fantasy series (Dresden Files) are another example of the growing book phenomenon. They each get longer and longer and more involved and bloated.
Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at July 21, 2022 05:14 PM (Ivdso) --- The absolute *king* of novel bloat is Tad Williams. By his own admission, he is physically incapable of writing a trilogy. He wrote THREE series that had to be extended to a quadrilogy because he couldn't wrap up the storylines in the last novel. To Green Angel Tower, the last book in the Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy, was split into two books for the paperback editions. But he's talented enough to make it work. The J6 committee is not a legitimate subpoena authority
Correct, according to congressional rules, they are not a legitimate committee and you can legally blow them off, but they can really make you suffer while you fight to prove that in court. Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at July 21, 2022 05:08 PM (Ivdso) The lower federal courts will defer to Congress on all questions about the legality of actions by Congress. No way will any district court judge say that a committee that SHALL have 13 members, including 5 appointed by the Minority Leader is illegal because it only has 8 Democrats and two "republicans" appointed by the Democrat Majority Leader, even if it is illegally constituted. Lower Courts will defer to the other Branch of the Government, Congress in all things Congressional. Bannon will have to fight this all the way to SCOTUS to even have a chance someone MIGHT say the J6 Committe of 10 people, including 2 Democrat appointed quisling republicans is not the SHALL BE 13 including 5 APPOINTED by the Minority Leader as stated in the Resolution. They are not fashioning legislation, and they are not investigating actual government people.... Bannon was not in government service Jan 6 at all. I don't so much mind how much books cost as how big publishers charge paperback prices for their ebooks. Which cost them like 8 bucks to set up. Once ou have the book written, edited, and published, ebooks are ALL PROFIT. I mean you have to pay the site that offers them, but you don't need to charge 21 bucks an ebook.
As for the D&D movie trailer... um well lets hope the plotting is better than the cutesy jokester dialog. Good to see them leaning heavily on the monster mythos at least. They managed to get the non-white super ass kicking female in there, but at least its fantasy so you can believe a girl could do that.
