Kellyanne Conway Writes About Her Husband Throwing Away Their Marriage For Some Twitter Validation and Payback
I doubt that this is the whole story, but at least it's some of the story.
I don't think Twitter Addicts realize that normal people wonder about them, and no, we're not wondering about their wit. We're wondering, "Why aren't you spending time with your spouse? Or significant other? Don't you have children you're supposed to take care of from time to time? Don't you have a job?" Twitter Addicts think they're dazzling us as they spend hour after hour grinding and grinding for validation on Twitter, but they're actually just creating a series of highly negative inferences about themselves. Chiefly: If you're spending hours begging for validation on Twitter, that means you're not getting validation in real life. I've mentioned this, but even when I was wasting way, way too much time on Twitter, I began imposing the rule that I would not tweet on Friday or Saturday nights, because people have better things to do on Friday or Saturday night than to tweet. I mean, I actually didn't actually have better things to do, but there is a value in Keeping Up Appearances, isn't there? When you stop even keeping up appearances, you're just letting everything all slide into hell. Anyway, here's how one of many marriages dissolved because one spouse sought attention from Twitter, from the NY Post:Ooooh, Plot Twist! So this ugly toad was actually a Trump supporter? This supports my long, long, long-standing notion that George Conway's spectacularly-public embarrassment of his wife had nothing to do with politics and was animated entirely by anger about something personal.
In her new memoir, Kellyanne Conway writes that she was shocked when her husband George (pictured together) started posting anti-Trump tweets, leading to a showdown between them. As Conway tried calling and texting George to no avail, questions started swirling in her head: Why had George done that? Why hadn't he mentioned it to her beforehand? "And," she writes, "was this tweet really posted by my Trump-loving, MAGA-cap-wearing husband, George Conway?"
Trump was just the cudgel used to beat her with. Is Conway one of the guys Trump claimed begged him for a job in the Administration? My googling skills are failing me (or "The Algorithm" is hiding "disinformation" that would undermine anti-Trump propagandists).
... After his first tweet damning Trump in 2017, George's posts were mostly innocuous. Then, in the spring of 2018, George and Conway were invited to dinner at the home of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, with whom she had a tense relationship. ... A week after the dinner, George unleashed on Twitter -- and never stopped. ... "Oh no, I thought, here we go again," Conway writes of her reaction to his tweetstorm. Though she often asked George why he was rampaging on Twitter, he simply did not answer. Soon after, Ivanka Trump handed Conway a Post-It note with "the names of two local doctors who specialized in couples therapy." "I noticed she had avoided putting that in a text or an email. I appreciated the information and her thoughtfulness and wanted to pursue it," Conway writes. "After I showed George the names, he rejected one and said a halfhearted 'okay' to the other while looking at his phone. We never went." Then, on July 3, 2019, they were at their beach home on the Jersey Shore when she turned to her husband and told him calmly what was on her mind. ... George looked dazed, but she kept going, saying he was the only person who had a choice to make. "You can see me mostly as your wife of 18 years and the mother of your four children, or you can see me mostly as senior counselor to President Donald Trump. When you wake up every morning, you have to decide how it is you see me." "George," she added, "how do you see me?" She writes that Conway yelled without making eye contact, "You have ruined yourself and you have embarrassed this family." Conway shot back, "I've embarrassed this family? 20 years ago I spent way too much time on ISP chatting with people and I noticed a pattern: the women there (probably the men too) claimed to love their kids more than anything and love their home etc, but they spent all day online chatting. Like 8+ hours a day on the screen, microwaving something once in a while.
That's not just a lie about your kids, its proving what you really do love: your computer and yourself.

My brother got a smart phone and only used it for business and phone calls. Then he got sucked in more and more, now his face is in it most of the time and if that text tone goes off, he has to pick it up like an addict grabbing desperately at a needle.
That's part of why I try to spend less time on here and more time doing things like writing, mowing the lawn, and doing dishes (or, like yesterday, scrubbing cat barf from the carpet).

Those two don't compute. Either one of them is a lie (or at least a misrepresentation), or something big shifted. If I had to guess - and this is purely speculative and based on nothing - my guess would be "jealousy." He was a political wonk and so was she. And then very suddenly she was top dog who not only got the president elected, she continued to work for him afterward. That might have been a bitter pill.

The book I keep pushing (Mafia Democracy) helped me understand why they all started doing this.
In the Obama administration, they started pressuring companies to put board members in and HR department changes that pushed them to be more woke. They further started to use regulations and other leverage to push companies toward this direction. Loans and licensing and permits take longer or don't get approved, etc.
And lobbyists, which every major company uses, get less attention and crony assistance from Demcorats if they aren't woke.
Basically, Obama finished the job that the Rainbow Coalition was trying to do in the 80s.

That is all campaign consultants/pollsters/etc. They leak to the media to get free advertising while the media uses their inside info to get pageviews. That is why you see so many promising GOP candidates go bad in DC is because of the GOPe campaign apparatus. The ones that keep their independence and actually represent their constituents are kept from any meaningful position until they tire of it and go home. The ones with strong independent fundraising like Rand Paul and now apparently MTG are the ones that can speak their mind without clearing it with leadership.

I had read that he/they have received approx $65Billion so far...Interesting number as Russia's TOTAL Military spending budget runs between $63-69Billion annually.(It had decreased to hover around $60-62 during the Trump years)
Ukraine aid seems to equate to nearly 1/2 of their GDP at this point.

These same people built a political opposition network starting the day after the election. Siding with the outright enemies of freedom. I couldn't fathom a reality where we wouldn't give our own candidate at least as much benefit of the doubt we gave Obama. I didn't support Trump because thought he was brazenly lying to me. I found out then who was really lying to me.
Trump isn't a madman. He's just very good at game theory style games. He understands the value of "irrational reputation" in negotiating in that it makes threats and promises more credible, and therefore viable strategic moves.
I can't imagine someone going from pro-Trump to anti-Trump.
