Hannity: "Look at This," Kathy Barnette Marched on January 6th Near "The Radical Proud Boys"

Video below.

Amazing.

Barnette says she had "a wonderful time" at the January 6th rally.

Barnette was asked by Fox's Bret Baier about images circulating of her marching near the Capitol on Jan. 6, which showed her near people connected to the Proud Boys, a far-right group involved in the attack.

Barnette said she was "not with the Proud Boys" but was "out there because I wanted to hear what the president had to say."

"As a law-abiding American citizen, I had every right to go to a rally in support of my president. That is what I was doing there," the conservative commentator asserted. "We had a wonderful time. We prayed. We listened to what the president had to say. We hung out."

"We walked and sang songs, and then we got on our bus and left and came back home," Barnette added.

When asked specifically about the photos of who she was marching with that day, Barnette said, "I have no idea who these people are that I was walking with," adding, "The media is smearing my name and sowing seeds of disinformation in order to suppress my vote and steal this election from me."

I think I've heard enough from Sean Hannity.

107 I've never understood Hannity's popularity. He mutters most of the right platitudes, so he has that going for him. Whenever he interviews someone, though, it's absurd. When he isn't being shouty, the interviews last around two minutes. It's pointless. He interviewed Larry Elder once. I had just listened to Elder do an interview with Candace Owens, which was an hour long. He got two minutes on Hannity. There's no point at all, especially nowadays when you can listen to any of his guests talk for hours online and find out what they actually think without The Great American shouting over them.

Hannity did yeoman's work in the 90s and the 00s putting (and keeping) FOX on the map. When there was only one non-left-leaning network on the air, he was largely responsible for keeping it there, and he deserves our thanks and gratitude. He deserves the millions he made in that service.

That said, he's an unlistenable, ineducable doofus - and always has been. After 2020, the best service he could have done was move to a fledgling network like Newsmax or OAN and get them visibility. Once you saw that he was staying, you know where he stands now - and it's not on our side.

181 O/T, but when did "attended college for a time" become "alumnus?"

I went to a college for my freshman year before transferring out to go the college I actually wanted to attend (didn't get in out of high school - my grades were too bad). I graduated from the second college. The first college still routinely mails me for donations and to invite me to events as an alumnus. I am *not* an alumnus. I just attended there for a bit. By generous literal definition, I suppose this qualifies but it is not the way people typically use that word.

Is this just about money, or has the word's practical definition expanded over the past few years without my noticing?

185 A King County Superior Court judge was assaulted by a man well known to Seattle police, but he initially refused to report the crime. That ensured the dangerous criminal would stay on the streets to assault new victims.
. . . .
But the judge didn't want to be identified as a victim. In fact, it appears he never called 911 to report the crime. Instead, King County security flagged the incident for the Seattle Police Department...

After police spoke with the security staff, according to the police incident report, Judge Scott emailed the responding officer to say that "he did not want to press charges on the suspect unless it benefitted law enforcement." But that meant police would not be able to make an arrest.

I genuinely don't know much about the Proud Boys, but the uncharitable insinuations seem to try to cast them as "white nationalists." That seems to present a sort of dilemma with this situation, though:

either a) Barnette didn't associate with them, in which case it's a complete non sequitur to even mention the fact they were both at the same event or b) she did associate with them in which case...well, maybe they're not quite what the MSM is trying to have us believe. (shocking I know!)

I think there's a big timing issue here. Barnett wasn't a thing until 2 weeks ago. She was an also ran. The race had been a two-man race since the one guy dropped out (Trump's first endorsement, right?). Then, all of a sudden, she's a close third place in a winner take all situation.

If her polling had appeared two months ago, it might have changed some of the calculus. As it is...two weeks before the election, is it wise to drop your endorsement that you've held for months because someone who could be a flash in the pan suddenly appeared right before the election?

If I lived in PA, I'd probably vote for Barnett, but nothing about Trump's Oz endorsement, or his keeping with it, seems all that mysterious to me.

Hannity is a traitor. That's why I, at least, want him ignored and, if there is ever another GOP president, permanently sidelined.

It's really not that hard to understand, Oz and Trump are friends, Oz was a big supporter of alternative medicines, ie, HCQ and Ivermectin, did trials and gave Trump support during the Plandemic.

Trump believes if he can push Oz over the line and to a Senate seat, he'll have a reliable ally when he ascends The Throne in 24.

That's it in a nutshell.

259 The thing with Hannity is, he pounds the same talking points day and night, for years. I understand it, you have to beat a subject into the forefront of the culture through repetition because most people are not too sharp.

He invites "guests", asks them a question, and then talks over their response, so he says what he wants the guest to have said. Why bother with the other person, when you're going to talk over them?

He has nothing of value to add, and he's annoying to listen to.

265 I don't trash Hannity because of Trump or Oz, I trash him because he's got the IQ of a turnip, and yet is very, very rich. Life is so unfair.

As far as PA is concerned, I don't know who to support. Oz seems like a joke, but Trump picked him for some reason. Kurt Schlichter prefers McCormick, about whom I know nothing. Barnette came from nowhere, and yes, there is a tendency on the part of many conservatives to apotheosize any conservative minority. I don't know if she's the real thing, or one of those.

It's a tough call, because what we're really arguing is about who is the most electable conservative candidate. We don't need any more witches. Who that person is, I have no idea.

Given that the people who surrendered are Azov Battalion, I suspect that the Russians are going to be slow to exchange them for ordinary Russian soldiers.

467 I was at the Capitol rally in November 2020. The Proud Boys were acting as the clearly needed security detail to protect the entirely peaceful protestors from the constant threat (and occasional act) of violence from feral Antifa.

Everyone appreciated what they were doing; and if Hannity doesn't know this he's an even lazier dunce than he sounds like.

But everything about the Proud Boys is hatchet jobs, name-calling smears and guilt by association. Person X, Y, or Z of the PB was once on a 4Chan platform so the organization is "racist" etc despite having a person of color as it's President (who was also on the FBI payroll).

And I would bet a large sum that the majority of any (rare) "racist" messaging by Proud Boys members was similarly funded by the FBI, so as to serve it's larger purpose of discrediting the organization, and the even larger purpose of disarming conservatives from the ability to defend themselves against leftist thugs who get their marching orders from Democrats.

This is the primary reason NeverTrump has to be utterly destroyed. No one should vote for any Senate candidate as long as McConnell and his MiniMes are the leadership.

Anyway -

I like Hannity for what it's worth. He did the heavy lifting and investigating during the Obama years when no one else would, also did great work on Biden.
And was supportive of Trump, when few were. Esp the GOPe.
Yeah, he's repetitive, but I see him as training wheels or conservatism. We all know the basics, so he can bore us, but not everyone does.

Esp. Trump-curious Progtards who are now seeing what getting every single;e little bit of their Democrat dreams passed does to their lives, children, and the economy.
Hannity is right at their speed.

Don't hate him at all, but man, is he outta whack on this one. In a way that could cost him.

____________

And I bet that nowhere in those 432 pages does it mention the fact that there was not a single piece of evidence in any of the cops' trials that suggested that race had anything to do with the manner in which Floyd was restrained, or that the ME who performed Floyd's autopsy originally concluded (before he was coerced and threatened to change his opinion) that the restraint had absolutely nothing to do with causing Floyd's death.

516 Ace proclaims that “I think I've heard enough from Sean Hannity.”

Wow. So harsh. So tough.

I assume from Ace’s refusal to publicly support Kathy Barnette that Ace is resigned to the next US Senator from Pennsylvania being either the Socialist Democrat nominee or an Arlen Specter (RINO one day, Liberal Democrat the next) GOP nominee.

My understanding is that Ace is refusing to support the MAGA-candidate Kathy because she has not been “sufficiently vetted” and is “too mysterious.”

That’s especially feeble and sketchy reasoning coming from a person who is the alleged founder and head of a smart “military” (with daily forays into politics; and regularly occurring posts on other pursuits) blog which has been operating for many years who hides behind a nom de plume.

Allah Pundit has nothing over Ace in the phony conservative department. In fact, rumors are rampant that Ace is hiding under Kurt Schlichter’s Ann Taylor labeled skirt.
