Judge Orders Jussie Smollett Released from Jail After Having Served Just Six Days

Wonder which Obama staffer/Democrat fixer contacted the authorities this time.

Disgraced 'Empire' actor Jussie Smollett will be released from jail after just six days behind bars.
Judges ruled that he should go free while his lawyers work on the appeal of his conviction on five felony counts of lying to police about a racist and homophobic attack.
He will be released from the Cook County Jail on a $150,000 personal recognizance bond.

Smollett, who has been serving his time in psychiatric care, was sentenced to 150 days behind bars.
The actor's lawyers had argued to the panel of judges that his sentence would be fully served by the time the appeals process was completed.

113 Jussie's sentence has not been vacated / overturned yet.

He has several appeals out, which will take months if not years. it makes sense to release him until his conviction is confirmed by an appeals court. If it is overturned, then he will not have to do the other days.

Since they have not been convicted, they have no right to appeal any conviction. They are innocent until proven guilty.

Once the Government finally gets to their trial, and does not drop the charges, make a deal for time served, or have the defendants declared innocent, IOW actually get a freaking GUILTY Verdict, then the guilty defendant can appeal his charges and request release. The Same Judge that refused Bail can then Refuse Release pending Appeals.
