Ukranian City of Kharkiv Decimated by Russian Terror-Bombing; Transgenders Hardest Hit

Screenshot (1634).jpg

So, about those transgenders being hardest hit.

I wasn't just doing a snarky headline.

For years, transgender people in Ukraine who wanted to be legally recognized had a long list of steps they had to go through to do so. According to Human Rights Watch, the government mandated that transgender people undergo extensive psychiatric observation and under gender reassignment surgery to get legal documents that aligned with their gender.

Legislation was introduced in 2017 to lessen the process, but still would require that transgender Ukrainians undergo outpatient psychiatric examinations. There is no indication that legislation was ever implemented.

"I don't want to go through that. This is like, humiliating for the world," [Zi] Faámelu said. "...I decided to keep my passport, keep male in my passport, and now I cannot leave this country."

So, media, am I supposed to take the Russian attack on Ukraine seriously, or not?

Is the attack on Ukraine a serious matter, or is it just yet another front for you to wage culture war on your domestic enemies?

That's why people are so resistant to waving their little plastic American flags for Ukraine: It's because we know this all a sham, because the whole "Support Ukraine" propaganda campaign by the left is really just cover for the real campaign, which is "Destroy American Conservatives."

Tucker Carlson's whole segment is worth viewing, but I've cued it up to the most important part. Lead RussiaGate Hoaxer, Senator Mark Warner,* makes it clear that he's keenly interested in using the Russian attack on Ukraine as a pretext for -- what else? -- deplatforming and censoring his political enemies and taking away their right to speak and criticize Democrats.

That's all they ever want.

Again, this is what accounts for 90% of the resistance to waving the little plastic American flags.

Note that Mark Warner was also a lead Pressure-Bringer to big tech to censor conservatives.

FaceBook found that the Russian ads placed before the 2016 election were 1, only a small ad buy, 2, in service of a variety of different political causes, on the left and right, and 3, economically motivated, not politically motivated.

Mark Warner sent his people out there to convince them otherwise. FaceBook folded, and then began its crackdown on free speech.

And he's doing it all again. He's again using government pressure to force media corporations to censor his political enemies.

And I'm supposed to wave my little plastic American flag as I worry about Ukraine.

Do I worry about the authoritarian tyrants at Ukraine's door? Yes.

But I worry about the authoritarian tyrants at my own door first.

The left used to warn that cheerleading for the National Security State would just empower them to come after the citizenry's more inconvenient human rights. We ignored them -- to our considerable detriment.

I think the January 6 political prisoners, serving four year jail terms for trespassing, curse our ignoring that danger.

We are not ignoring that any longer. They are coming after us again.

Isn't it strange how in every single crisis, the Corporate-Political-Security Complex decides that the solution must be the censorship and increasing decitizenization of the American right?

The left never moves its focus away from the real war, the war on its domestic enemies.

I have chosen to mirror their tactics. I too will only wage war on my domestic enemies.

And like the left, I will not be diverted by false foreign enemies.

95 Remains to be seen, but those tweets are probably extremely misleading. Kharkov is not a small town. There have been a few rocket launches, or salvoes of MLRS-type systems.

Even until today, in the fairly rare instances of any kind of damage to civilian infrastructure from Russian forces (and not always clear that it wasn't Uke-caused), I have seen this fanatical enthusiasm to point out "playground!" or "kindergarten!!" (no children present, nobody even injured, unguided systems so almost surely "misses" that hit these locations).

"Baby milk factories!" cannot be far behind.

Oh - and Zelensky really beclowned himself with a tweet about Babi Yar. He claims a Russian munition hit there (I assume *near* there, don't think the actual exact area is built-up or populated) and 5 were killed. He invokes "never again!". I see - Russia's plan here is to repeat the holocaust against Jews in Ukraine. Or something.

Someone made that point about the night show comics. Essentially all of them are competing for the small slice of dedicated leftist audience left after the mass tv market disappeared. Also explains CNN's spiral downward as they were trying to be MSNBC. So people like Johnny Carson are gone because we have no overarching unifying culture anymore. Same as academic journals spiraling into irrelevancy for the broader culture and so on.

The Narrative. They must push The Narrative no matter what. Here are some components:
1. Sexual deviancy == good (absolute)
2. Russia == bad (absolute)
3. American leftist ideology == good (absolute)
4. Ukraine == good (transactional, non-absolute)

So there are all of the components. "Ukraine, which is good (today) has been invaded by Russia, which is bad (always) and so we need to cover it in such a way that it emphasizes our American leftist ideology because it is good (always) and so we can pick a sexual deviancy (always good) angle to frame the story."

And now you have trangender acceptance in the Ukraine - which was already not good enough - being made harder because of Russia. You could probably write these stories algorithmically and just have an intern fill in the names after finding something they can use to plug in. For I know, this is what they do. It would be easy enough.

144 "Firing cluster bombs into residential neighborhoods generally counts."

Some times.

"Residential neighborhoods" being used as the base for military operations enjoy no protection.

In fact, deliberately mingling civilian/non-combatant with military personnel and assets, to gain a military advantage, is the war crime. And one that was literally the "system" of our adversaries in Iraq, thus the hospitals and mosques that occasionally were legitimate targets.

Oh, and "cluster munitions" is another moral signal flare, because that kind of ordnance has been successfully mythologized and demonized - but without getting into that dull topic, note that there is ample evidence of their use against Donbass and Lugansk by Ukrainian forces/elements/whoever's doing the shooting, though mysteriously there is no tsunami of outrage in the west.

One thing that's annoying me is the use of the term "cluster bomb" or variants. Every video I've seen so far has been of conventional single warhead weapons. It's just that the Russkies love to shoot a LOT of them at a target.

A cluster munition will spew out a gazillion little grenades that all detonate simultaneously (except for a certain percentage which are on delay, just to be dicks). No big boom, it sounds like firecrackers. Still deadly as hell. The problem with them is that the fuses don't always detonate, so you end up with a shit ton of unexploded live ordnance laying around for puppies and orphans to play with.

165 A cluster munition will spew out a gazillion little grenades that all detonate simultaneously (except for a certain percentage which are on delay, just to be dicks). No big boom, it sounds like firecrackers. Still deadly as hell. The problem with them is that the fuses don't always detonate, so you end up with a shit ton of unexploded live ordnance laying around for puppies and orphans to play with.

"The unorganized militia shall consist of all able-bodied male residents of the state between the ages of seventeen and forty-five who are not serving in any force of the organized militia or who are not on the state reserve list or the state retired list and who are or who have declared their intention to become citizens of the United States,

>>>Milk, now, is "problematic." Fucking milk.

Their is some teeth there. The *last* distinct human trait to develop during our "age of evolution" which ended about 10,000 years ago was lactase persistence. A genetic mutation that caused a mammal specifically a human to produce lactase into adulthood, and consequently could digest lactose into adulthood. The gene of lactose tolerance if you will. This mutation originated somewhere in Europe most likely on the island of Britain and was such a huge survival advantage that is spread quickly. But not quickly enough for the end of the age of human evolution was right around the corner. So genetically speaking if you are of linage that goes back to either Britain or Norse your odds of being lactose tolerant is high, and it drops off as your lineage becomes distant.

The vast majority of those men (and indeed most militias) are basically expendable shields for the criminals, actual Nazis, and Ukrainian soldiers that are ready to actually fight the Russians. So they could do a lot of damage if "motivated" to do so. The problem is that such men are draining the urban food supplies as the Russians wait outside. If you want minimal deaths and stockpiles to last, you use only hardened fighters. Which is going to really disadvantage Ukraine as the main Russian army moves in to cut them off totally.

Yep. That's been the takeaway for, now, years as every crisis is not to be wasted. Government, mainly originating at the Federal level here in the US, remains the nexus for the creation, amplification, distribution, and execution of dissolution of civil liberties and Constitutional order. It's wave after wave of a perpetual tide wearing We, the People, down.

Populism is the target. No matter the issue, the determination is that the public remains a growing threat to insular bubble people who rely on the occasionally culled herd to support their lifestyles. And cull they will until the sufficient, docile mix remains.

272 Putin's goal is obvious and simple - and likely impossible to achieve, as there was a perfect built-in-paradox - and you have to filter out the red meat nonsense from his rhetoric, but it's right there (well, almost).

A de facto finlandized Ukraine is the goal. This situation has been building for years, and was no secret - the west just dismissed Russian concerns. Moscow as a last-ditch thing tried negotiations to get a European mutual security declaration with attached conditions (last year). They began their build-up of forces now in action at the same time (their back-up option).

Likely impossible to achieve because coercing a state like Ukraine without using force is pretty difficult. Paradox because using force is also not a very sure method - and of course results in the *opposite* occurring ..... Ukraine even more determined to have protection and integration with NATO and the west.

Russia's (not Putin's, Russia's) only alternative was just to eat the sandwich and accept Ukraine's gradual de facto/formal evolution towards NATO status. That's it. Not complicated.

D and L are distractions in a sense, remove them from the calculation and nothing changes.

Blogger Bookworm answered this years ago -- still an excellent read (though it pre-dates the transgender craze): https://tinyurl.com/54bnyvvj

What's interesting is that, because the Left expresses itself in terms of "freeing" people's sexuality, many people miss the fact that it is every bit as sexually controlling in its own way as Islam is.

This control comes about because the Left works assiduously to decouple sex from a person's own sense of bodily privacy and, by extension, self-ownership. If a person has no sense of autonomy, that person is a ready-made cog for the statist machinery."

D and L could be secured in a few days' time with the force now being used for lots of other things besides. Defending Donbass can be done easily, directly.

Although not doing a systematic monitoring as is now done thanks to digital age, I've noticed that Russian media now has just about dropped down to the real issue when discussing Ukraine in general, this operation, and not just focusing on D and L. "Demilitarization" is now always mentioned, the ridiculous "denazification" that was paired with it from the beginning now starting to be left out.

295 The Russkies have promoted the Green Party, and enviro' stuff in general, with intent to weaken us. But the left and DeepState are not deceived, they too use the propaganda for their own anti-America ends. Globalists have their own agenda.

And besides shutting down American production to good oil over $100 (aiding Putin's adventures) ... Hillary was more direct in her help for Russia, taking $50M (?) for her foundation, as well as Bill taking in a million or so for a couple speeches. In return Russia got access to Uranium One AND the Skolkovo deal which open a door for silicon valley tech, including (many say) military tech, like the hypersonic weapons tech.

The Clinton excuse in the 90s was they wanted multi-polarity, so they sold/gave multi warhead missile tech to China, and open door access to God only knows how much other tech, walking it right out the door at will.

So yes, the left and DeepState are at war with superpower USA, and with the Liberty for which we stand.

Part of me thinks that might have been the tipping point on this. After 2014, Putin made it very clear that Russia considered "color revolutions" a security threat and that the west had better not try it again in his part of the world. This was an expansion of his version of the Monroe Doctrine.

It is entirely possible that we tried to pull of a color revolution in Kazakhstan. Russia rolled in and quashed it quickly, but it may have been a factor in this action.

The point is NATO expansion is not in American interests.

It is also the casus belli here, the act used to justify a war.

If Russia and Ukraine want to fight over western orientation, go at it. I personally root for the underdog generally, so I hope the Ukrainians can hold out long enough to expose Russia as weaker than it pretends.

But America has no dog in this fight, and NATO expansion needs to be defeated. More importantly, new American drilling needs to resume (bigly) and the longer Putin has to fight the more obvious it will be to even Demofascists that high oil prices are keeping the war going.

So, from my perspective, a long drawn-out war is the best outcome.

457 Red Turban as I've been saying since this started, and even again up above, Russia's goal here is quite rational (from its perspective) but also it's very difficult to see how they achieve it.

If you assume a medium-haul perspective (not the war, that won't last that long), then ensuring Ukraine's de facto finlandization (it's not just the neutrality, it's the lack of military robustness/integration with the west) seems feasible, but a lot of work.

Otherwise of course Russia is expediting/reinforcing the trends it feared - thus, paradox.

Why can't the American security establishment shoulder responsibility for its role in the tragedy unfolding in Ukraine? Because to discuss American responsibility openly would mean exposing the national security establishment's role in two separate, destructive coups: the first, in 2014, targeting the government of Ukraine, and the second, starting two years later, the government of the United States."

>>>Milk, now, is "problematic." Fucking milk.

Lactose intolerance (LI) is almost unknown in Africa amongst Blacks. Now I spent 10 years in 3 different boarding schools (almost all White - 1500 kids or more in total) and never heard of LI or peanut allergies, in fact PB sandwiches were almost a staple for snacks. A glass of milk was welcomed by all and also used in morning cereals (porridge or cornflakes).

521 We fucked up.

After 9/11 we wanted to get the foreign Muslims who were trying to destroy our way of life with a terror campaign.

So, we authorize the expansion of the surveillance state, because we understood that those expanded powers were to be used against our foreign enemies. And they were, initially..... BUT

Like Otter said, "You fucked up, you trusted us."

Now the surveillance state is using those expanded powers against us.

We can blame ourselves for not listening to Greenwald and the other IC Cassandras. However, I prefer to blame that mothereffer Obama. He was the first one who turned the Bush-era powers against his political opponents. He created the Frankenstein monster that the villagers will need torches and pitchforks to destroy.

And like the left, I will not be diverted by false foreign enemies."
