Leftwing Media and NeverTrump -- But I Repeat Myself -- Declare Criticism of Biden Treasonous

I noted yesterday that the Treason Offensive had begun:

Former Bush campaign manager and ABC "News" Political Director -- and, recently, candidate for Texas Lieutenant Governor -- Mathew Dowd has announced that blaming Brandon for what happens under Brandon's watch is officially Treason.

Screenshot (1565).png

The neoliberals and neocons have teamed up in a Reese's Cup commercial kind of way: The neoliberals say, "You got your 'You're an enemy agent' slur in my 'You're a racist homophobe misogynist' smear!"

The neocons say, "You got your 'You're a white supremacist!' smear in my 'You're a terrorist!' slur!"

But they've decided these two great tastes taste great together, and they're now joined at the hip, smearing the 80% of the country as racist Putin-lovers for daring to notice their constant failures.

There's much more today.

Yesterday, Biden walked away without taking questions after slurring and mangling his pre-written statement on why he'd failed so badly on Ukraine.

It appeared weak.

Everyone saw it as weak. Everyone saw Joe Biden as running from questions.

Everyone knows he is too cognitively impaired to answer questions during a crisis -- especially given that, during his last press conference, he invited Putin to stage a "minor incursion" into Ukraine.

It was so bad that ABC "News'" Democrat apparatchik David Muir offered this spin to explain Biden's weakness, which actually just underscored his weakness: David Muir said that, given "the gravity of the moment the world is facing," it's best that Biden not attempt to ad lib answers to questions.

Well, that is true.

It's also an admission that Biden should be removed via the 25th Amendment process.

The GOP House Republican account tweeted out a picture of this sad, frail, brain-damaged old man shuffling away in fear from the podium and noted the weakness on display.

Kasie Hunt of CNN branded the GOP "the enemy."

Screenshot (1580).png

So criticizing a Democrat president makes you an "enemy" of the state now.

Is it time to debank the Republican Party, Kasie? Is that CNN's position?

By the way, this ugly hag is the first announced anchor for CNN's subscription service CNN Plus. So make sure you sign up for that.

By the way, KHunt:

Do you really think that Putin didn't realize Biden was weak and cognitively retarded until the House GOP tipped him off?

And do you think that if we all pretended he was on top of his game, the way you clownish whores at CNN do, Putin would be fooled?

You think CNN is currently pull the wool over his eyes, huh? You think Russian intelligence is right now telling Putin, "The evidence is all over the place! All of our objective medical analysis tells us that Biden is a man in the advanced stages of dementia, but Kasie Hunt of CNN says he's smart as a whip, so I don't know what to think!!!"

That's why you're at CNN, KHunt. Because your brain is filled with hyperpartisan lie-fantasies like that.

Adam Schiff's rentboy Adam Kinzinger with the soft succulent mouth-hole offered the typical neocon smear that anyone criticizing neocons (or their neoliberal "president") is now just Workin' for Putin.

Screenshot (1587).png

Democrat fundraiser and Soros Operative Bill Kristol called Republicans "disloyal" for not remaining Bought like he does:

Screenshot (1591).png

Career Affirmative Action hustler and unaccountably wealthy lifetime failure Michael Steele got the memo that "disloyal" was the Phrase That Pays of the day:

Screenshot (1589).png

It's uncanny, isn't it? They all just go immediately to the "You support Putin" or "You're a racist transphobe," depending on circumstances. Every single time.

And then they wonder why this bullshit isn't working any more.

Screenshot (1592).png

Note: That's sarcastic; he's parodying the neolib/neocon Dissent-Is-Treason propaganda of the day. (Well, of the the last few decades.) The rest of his tweet thread makes that obvious.

Since Biden's presidency is just one crisis rolling right into the next, I guess Patriotism Demands that we all just support him unconditionally for four straight years.

Hmmm -- wonder why this rule never kicked in under Trump. Under Trump, it was all #Resistance, all the time.

Can't I be part of of the anti-Biden #Resistance? If not, why not?

It looks like we are winning the vaccine wars. Great article. And Moderna is down 70 percent. Look for yourselves.

The guy that predicted the dot com bubble and steered his holding away from mortgage securities is predicting the death of Moderna and Pfizer.

Great read. And I'm in Canada. I believe we've already won. I'm no longer scared. We're just waiting for everyone else to catch up. Try hiding why the makers of the miracle cures went under. Try.

They and the Canadian Church Burners want to use tools of war against domestic opponents, over basic policy disagreements. Calling us domestic terrorists for opposing childgrooming educational policies one day and treasonous the next is just par for the course.

"Peak of US strength"? WTFF is that about? And - how is this actually even a "crisis" - except for the Ukrainians? It's actually not. Shocking, but reality.

Russia's actions, which look like they will include a large scale invasion and presumably insistence on regime change plus conditions in Kiev, are decisive and out of the ordinary. But represent no "crisis". Just as the Crimea grab - which was/will remain the largest event of its kind in Europe since WWII, ended up not affecting the rest of Europe - this "crisis" is actually not one, and is a pure example of asymmetric interests engaged in a chapter that simply breaks the monotony.

You know how members of a doomsday cult, after their predicted date the world ends has come and gone, will double-down on their beliefs instead of abandoning them?

Yeah, Maddow is the esteemed leader of the Trump Russia!Russia!Russia! cult and no matter what happens IRL, she will find a way to twist it to yet again confirm her beliefs. Maybe it's all performative, but as cult leader, she is making sure her devoted flock -- which included the near-mass murderer of dozens of GOP Congressmen -- stays full-up on the Kool-aid!

254 "I guarantee you this wouldn't be happening if Trump was President."

No. It's a mildly interesting counterfactual to wonder what would happen, but Russia isn't motivated by who's in the WH, and in any case the asymmetry of interests and the barely breathing state of NATO = US could not and would not "deter" Russia in this matter.

This has two distinct parts for Russia. The D and L issues are separate, and given Ukrainian behavior would always have been easily solved (as they just were). The larger question of Ukraine's military future was not affected by having Trump, vs. this vegetable and his team of idiot children, in power.

And Russia, given its mindset, felt and still feels compelled to do something about this, regardless of who's in the WH. The removal of Trump was a catastrophe for the US and others in innumerable ways, but there's actually a real world out there that doesn't turn on who is in the Oval.

Trying to occupy a country that has a broad militia is a daunting task and the manpower pool for offensive operations is incredible They tend to be dismantled by governments for the same reason that you see gun control and sword bans, decentralizes power a lot.

Main downside seems to be greater prospect of civil war, but even that doesn't seem to happen as frequently as it does with private armies.

The administration said in a legal filing that a Feb. 11 ruling by a Louisiana federal judge will affect dozens of rules by at least four federal agencies. Among the immediate effects is an indefinite delay in planned oil and gas lease sales on public lands in a half-dozen states in the West.

See, here's the rub - after 9/11, I didn't feel much like clicking my heels and saluting then, either.

I obviously either don't articulate my point very well, or I just like the sound of my own voice, or maybe both. Probably both. But here's the thing, since at least the 90's - I constantly find myself in the same position. Somebody nominally in charge - either a Bush or Clinton or Bush again or Obama or Biden - telling me what I have to do, and why I should like it, and why I'm such an asshole for not eating a shit sandwich with a smile and asking for more.

And worse yet, because we all know the boss is an asshole, but every single time - you have all these little unpaid minions chanting "ooh, great sandwich" as long as their guy serves the shit. But when it's the other guy ? "Bad, bad sandwich". And it's the same fucking sandwich, every single time.

Trump just left me alone for four years. And that was good enough for me.

446 Russia would not have changed its inability to tolerate a Ukraine with a basically unlimited, "normal" full menu of future military and political options (such as gradual military strengthening and de facto integration with NATO, without membership) with Trump in the WH.

Unless actual developments changed course, they wouldn't have waited 4 years. And their moves are reactive, not based on timelines.

A clarifying exercise is to imagine what Trump would have done that would change things. Contrary to the absurd fantasy so often peddled by the idiots who are the subject of this post, Trump had pretty much applied the full set of sanctions (and beyond - Nordstream 2, and the existing and prospective impact on Russian actors from a full-court Iran sanctions regime) already.

There weren't any buttons left to push. And Trump was going to do what? Threaten "war" over all this? With what forces, with what actual capable alliance, with which political base shouting "endless wars!", with what objectives (Ukrainian sovereignty?)?

This isn't exactly true. Putin did actively support American enemies in Syria, and in response Trump ordered a surgical strike in Syria against Russian assets. He blew up their military hardware, demonstrated technical superiority, killed a lot of Putin's "military advisors" and effectively set the stage for an absence of Russian intervention counter to American interests. That strike wasn't really about Syria, it was about Russia and it was tactically sound.

As opposed to, say, publicly stating that he was okay with Putin delivering just the tip.

Posted by: Lady in Black at February 23, 2022 01:17 PM (sVtYq)

477 the problem was that he kept getting big blood clots in his small intestine, and they were -- I don't know the medical term -- they were like "chain clots," where clots begat clots, and they just had to keep going in to chop out more and more of his small intestine. They didn't take it out in one or two surgeries; it was like six or seven, often emergency surgeries, just cutting him open and cutting out his intestine bit by bit, hoping they'd finally got the last bit of clotting.

but they never did. Ultimately they had to take out all but ten centimeters. I think the small intestine is like 20 feet long.

so transplant day finally came and they put it in and put him in a coma to heal and then he dies.

And I'll argue that. Putin supported a dictator that wanted to Westernize Syria - using all the methods every successful dictator in the Middle East uses. Trump launched missiles, and also maintain a boots on the ground presence, that assisted the roots of the Muslim Brotherhood there. I'm sure John McCain said thanks.

Not the first time we've backed the wrong side. Won't be the last. It was a lot like Bosnia. We were in the wrong - because there was no "right side" to back.

529 As Marcus T reminds us, and I've done the same repeatedly, this is a rare case where we have a very comparable, very recent situation that throws light on things here.

Crimea was the boldest most important aggrandizement by force in Europe since WWII, by a long shot. Balkans were an insane ethnic melee, which is different. Upshot of the Crimea "crisis" - bupkis. A few new bridges over the Kerch straits. Despite all the "sanctions" and garment-rending.

Now invading Ukraine and forcing regime change/agreement to some kind of neutered/finlandized military future (only rational goals for Russia here) is ballsier, and "bigger" in a sense.

But the likely outcome is similar. Russia gets what it wants - which doesn't much affect anyone beyond Ukraine - and the world goes on.

Now I'm no dispensationalist, although I know the lingo. Remember that the entire scenario is dependent on the Temple being rebuilt first. Well, the Dome of the Rock isn't going anywhere, so that's out of the question - well, unless someone explodes a nuke right over it. Wipe that rock clean as the day it was made, it would.

We've been conditioned to think there can only be one nuclear war, but there could easily be several before we get to the endpoint.
