Try to log in to Gmail from a device or browser they don't recognise, and it will tell you to try again from one that they do. Got a security code? Tough shit, you're not getting in.

Now, if you have a device they recognise, the way it works isn't bad at all - it will pop up an alert on the other device and say "is that you?" and you just press the button and you're in.

If you don't, though, you're kind of screwed.

10 Whatever this is, it knocked me on my ass yesterday. I can move today without too much pain. No real chest congestion yet but I've been doing the oregano oil thing, and ginger tea or lemon tea since it started. Fever seems to be at bay but still taking tylenol for that and the joint pain

17 San Franpsycho, everyone I know who tested positive says that is how they feel. With my insane life's schedule I'm usually tired, and I have chronic pain issues as well. But this is different. I just couldn't move. The joint pain - even my toes- hurt!

Well, I am now one of the cool kids. Well, a wanabee. My 3G flip phone is no good since 3G is being phase out, so I had to upgrade to a 4G or better. They offered some flip phones, but I said the hell with it, and got me a damn smart phone.

The dumbest, cheapest one of those I could. I wanted some oddball, off-the-wall piece of shit, so I got a Motorola G-power 2021. $200.

I been playing with it, setting it up, trying to turn off all the shit I can. It will mostly stay here at the house. I've turned off mobile data, so it only can use wifi (that my router can control).

I'm trying to get used to the android gesture touch interface. Piece of shit. Fuck it all. I hate the way the world is going with this shit.

FWIW, my covid has lasted 2 weeks. First day was the worst (headache, body ache, chills), then ongoing fatigue + low-grade flu (cough, congestion). For several friends/family it got worse around day 10 (!). It's a weird one -- hope you don't have the same experience we did.

Rain today, so battle resumes tomorrow. I've put together one of the two 6x6 foot chain-link panels for the back gate for us to get vehicles through to the back acreage.

Got our quote for putting in a transfer box to run circuits from the generator if we have a prolonged power outage as well as getting a 30A, 120V outlet installed in the garage to plug the RV into. It was what I expected, so that may occur this week as well.

Let me go ahead and introduce you to a button that will magically get activated and prevent you from getting messages and phone calls, and it will be worth getting in the habit of checking to make sure it's not clicked every few hours or so.

Go to the absolute top of your screen and "pull" down. You should see a button in the group labeled "do not disturb." That's the one.

Not a horrible phone overall and the best value conscious choice for smartphones. I've used that exact one for a year or two.

Also go right now and order a glass screen protector and a $10 case with an edge that sticks up a bit above the plane of the screen.

And then purged a lot of good people to put in politically reliables. It took me a while to figure out, but some of the leftist discain of the military isn't simply they are crazy or whatever.

They know the gubbmint is run by leftists and can't be trusted, the congress is "leaky" and filled with 5th columnists. Any military operation is compromised before it starts

104 The draft was never a good call . I understand the theory, like making America like 1944. But our issues are far worse. When half the country hates it, no draft will fix it. The problems run deeper than that Conservatives are to blame ares well. They gave up virtually and literally everything. The only reason we have a chance is that the Left is that bad. I say screw the draft. Even the idea insults the vast majority that want to serve. My view is most would not consider it. That is to their shame, not honor.

The Navy is moving it's annual NATO exercise from the Atlantic to the Med. They claim it has nothing to do with the Russia/Ukraine situation though.

Cousin enlisted in Army and was trained to a remarkable degree (genius-type) and he was always proud of his service. I was just at his gravesite and he does not have his service medallion on the back of his headstone. Neither does my dad (former Legion Commander), which seems absolutely silly.

Sisters and surviving cousins got an earful.

But no, there is, simply because employees lack the required oversight. A massive chunk of the company is awful Indian workers, and I'm not going to beat around the bush - literally thousands of them are vindictive and dishonest, and massively lazy in regards to their work responsibilities. And there is very little stopping them from acting on their bad attitude towards specific users.

And then on our side of the pond the same lack of accountability leads to a shocking amount of casual monkey-wrenching against users that employees have ID'ed as being political opponents.
