Daily Kos' Left-Leaning Polling Firm Puts Biden's Approval At...37%

The good news for Brandon? It's not a very well-respected poll.

The band news for Brandon? It's not very well-respected because it skews too far to the left.

He's unpopular with all ages and all education groups:

He's unpopular with men and women. He's popular with Democrats, but only at 76%, which is bad for a Democrat. He's popular with blacks, but only at 65%, which is also very very bad for a Democrat.

He squeaks by with a mere 50% support from Hispanics, and is down 42-46% in the "other" racial category, which I guess include Asians, Middle-Easterners, and American Indians.

Going state-by-state, it's even worse for Brandon and the Democrats, report Nick Arama of RedState:

It's gotten worse since we last checked in on the poll. In October, they had only 10 states that were overwater approving of Biden. That was bad enough. But now it's only five as of today, which means they went underwater and lost five states since then. The ones that are not underwater are California, Hawaii, Vermont, Maryland, and Massachusetts. That's pretty shocking, if true, and just complete quicksand for him.
California, which went big for Biden just a year ago at 64-34, now has him at just 46 approval to 43 disapproval -- more or less even.

The numbers are so bad that I wonder -- could this be not just a left-leaning poll but a poll stacked with AOC-type progressive respondents such that it winds up being biased against Biden?

And I think the answer is: Maybe, possibly! The past couple of weeks the AOC Left has been shrieking about Biden's repudiation of his promise to cancel the student debt of on-average wealthier-than-the-average lefties. Biden gave them a sop and extended the pause in nonrepayment of student debt from February 1 to May 1, but he still hasn't agreed to honor his campaign promise to cancel $10,000 of student debt yet. (And definitely not all of it, as The Squad demands.)

So who knows, maybe a poll that oversamples the left-of-the-left to scare Brandon and put him on notice not to take the Far Left for granted is just what the doctor ordered.

On the other hand: Maybe everyone just hates Brandon.

It is a thought, ace, but I think your read is wrong. I think this is one of those breakpoint things in mass psychology. It is ok to hate Biden (as it never was of Obama.) I would guess the bias for Biden is strongest where those psychological defenses are strongest (blue enclaves, upper crust.) For them it is not just traditional dem slavery, but also that saying they do not agree with him is tacit approval for Trump or in their minds makes them one of those filthy J6 people. Or they are completely insulated from all of the chaos and uncertainty.

I actually did this accidently a couple months ago. I had a dish I had put the dish soap in, and left it on top of the fridge for a while (fruit flies, don't ask.) I noticed it still up there a couple weeks later, pulled it down, rinsed it out and stuck it in there.

Some had hardened.

Messy. Also, it would be nice if there was an automatic drain in the dishwasher when the cycle was not running.

And it struck me that the way the left has always dealt with schools is the same way that the system has dealt with the Plandemic.

It's true. You can tell that COVID! hasn't been about public health because the public health authorities haven't been pursuing things like treatments.

Instead, they've been focused on lawyering the pandemic, such as changing the definition of "vaccine" and engineering case counts.

The claim that teachers and teachers unions care about kids is a lie, because if they truly did care, they would support each and every option for teaching kids. Homeschooling, charter schools, private schools, school vouchers, etc. But they don't. They support public school only.

Just like the Plandemic is not about health, but about the business of supporting vaxxine companies, our education system is not about education, but about the business of supporting teachers unions.

There is also the common factor that the products of each are massive failures: vaxxines for the Plandemic, students for public schools. And in both cases, they blame others for their failures (unvaxxinated for Plandemic, parents for public schools).

513 503 @Captain Obvious-It definitely clipped some records up there. Me and some buddies snowshoe'd and boarded some safe spots that don't slide in the back-hills near Donner. I was up there in the early nineties doing the same thing when it dumped 3 feet of snow in an hour. It dumped a little over 4 feet the other day in an hour. We'd snowboard down a hill and connect with our tracks heading back up but our tracks were gone. It was impressive.

The blizzard and cold that trapped the Donner Party killed their cattle and dumped so much snow there were no indications where the dead cattle lay. Members of the Party used long poles to probe for dead cattle; I don't think they found any. So, no food.
