CNN: We've (Wink, Wink) Decided to "Suspend Chris Cuomo Indefinitely"

This statement issued by CNN -- and typed up by in-house flacks Tater and Oliver Darcy -- sounds like a lot of bark, but I doubt it will have much bite.

I've screencapped it to deny CNN any traffic.

Donald Trump is gloating, but... I think this is premature.

This is a smokescreen, this is all fake.

Remember, Chris Cuomo lied about having been under "super-strict" lockdown under covid -- he used those exact words.

But we know he got into a fight with a bicyclist who caught him out-of-doors at a different property while he was infected, and talked about this fight on a radio show -- and then staged a fake "re-emergence" from his basement.

This was all a lie. Everyone knew it was a lie.

CNN ran it anyway, for ratings.

CNN is in the business of lies.

Why does anyone think that CNN is going to deviate from its business model and fire Fredo for doing what CNN does on the daily?

A few of the old powerhouse colleges in many leagues have had trouble adjusting to the fact that athletes can go anywhere and want to play rather than sit on the bench. USC and UCLA have both been out of it for nearly 20 years, Michigan has had a hard road for about a decade until this year - unless they choke in the Big 10 champ game.

I don't know that this hire will change that reality for USC, who have been outdone by Oregon and Utah the PAC 12 itself. But College football seems determined to eat itself alive in public rather than build a stable system.

Every place I work at now has this charity org run by people that "want to ensure every baby is a healthy baby" in the same way that PP ensures that "every baby is a loved baby", ie. by killing them. Once they get control of the upper ranks, this begins rapidly radiating down and out through the organization. Total institutional capture is achieved. Then you find yourself in a real weird place, where your charity is suddenly hurling racial denunciations at donors on the street.

Principal instructor in my grad program was a senior manager at a RCC operated hospital, he told us that ANY charity that needed any more than 10% of its intake to operate....was not a charity. Do. Not. Donate.

A lot of that is already happening, but it works both ways. A guy can transfer out of a big school for a place where he can actually play. The NFL scouts more than just the major schools. Some teams have continued to dominate, but a good fraction of the old dominant schools have fallen back - USC, UCLA, Nebraska, Michigan, Texas, even ND to some extent. The consolidation might not work out as well as they think if fans don't get excited for a championship team with three or four losses.

So I've been helping to carry a 75+ year old grudge that started 25 years before I was born. So for telling me to "sincerely apologize" for being White, I will carry my own grudge. They still have a chance, if they fire everyone involved and loudly declare that CRT, etc, is incompatible with Christianity, but I don't see them doing it.

That's how I was - but all things change. When the cancer began I don't know. I could understand the whole homo thing, because I know some here in CA that loath SA because Christian and have refused to give to them. SA wasn't there to judge, only help. Well, apparently they've moved into judging now, which means the whole Christian thing went out the window. I get to judge, and God gets to beat me up when the time comes. I'm a lousy sinner. But no one is being told how to think. Period.

In this case, the guide "Let's Talk About Racism," was issued as a voluntary resource, but it has since become a focus of controversy. We have done our best to provide accurate information, but unfortunately, some have chosen to ignore those efforts. At the same time, International Headquarters realized that certain aspects of the guide may need to be clarified.

They didn't realize the error of their ways. They're claiming the backlash was based on a misinterpretation of their racist tract. They think they just need to restate their racist sentiments.

343 So for telling me to "sincerely apologize" for being White, I will carry my own grudge. They still have a chance, if they fire everyone involved and loudly declare that CRT, etc, is incompatible with Christianity, but I don't see them doing it.

The leadership of the SA would have to fire themselves first. I'm not interested in clarifications. They've shown their true colors, and forgiveness only comes once they've paid real consequences for what they've done. As it is, I don't think for a second that they understand they're in the wrong.

My Dad hated the Red Cross, as did most WWII vets as I recall. I guess they learned their lesson in one regard, the "Doughnut Dollys" didn't charge us for doughnuts when the one time they stopped by. To be fair were a long way from civilization.

That's all it would take. But apparently they've grown too big. Like a government bureaucracy. Their only goal is to live and grow. Their original mission statement lost in the haze. And like a good lefty, they need to preach it, and convert us all. Same idea, wrong ideology. Helping nobody but making themselves feel a lot better.

You did good by your Grandfather, and he'd be on board with telling them to take a hike. It's not your Grandfather's Salvation Army any longer.

350 I'm seeing a lot of comments here that say the same thing about the Red Cross vs. Salvation Army during WWII. My dad hated the Red Cross because they'd charge for coffee, donuts, etc., while the SA did not. Interesting that there's so many with the same story.
