F. Joe Biden's Communist, Soviet-Trained Nominee for Comptroller of the Currency, Who Wants to Destroy Banks, Also Turns Out To Be... A Convicted Thief

Perfect. Perfect.

She was literally schooled in Marxist economics in the Soviet Union, when it still existed:

Omarova graduated from the Soviet Union' Moscow State University in 1989 on the Lenin Personal Academic Scholarship, according to the Wall Street Journal. As recently as 2019, she was still praising the USSR’s economic system as in some ways superior to our own. "Say what you will about old USSR, there was no gender pay gap there. Market doesn’t always 'know best.'"

...

Omarova's goal is the eventual elimination of private banking and the establishment of the Federal Reserve as the nation’s only bank.

...

Omarova herself wrote that her proposal is "deliberately radical in scope and substance."

Indeed. Or as Kristin Tate wrote for The Hill on Wednesday:

Taken to its extreme, this would mean that the Federal Reserve, acting on behalf of Washington, could become the only place citizens could deposit their money. Such a massive transformation would be accomplished by replacing consumer deposits into a new digital dollar, held by the Fed.

And now it is revealed that this Soviet infiltrator's support for the revolutionary expropriation of wealth from capitalist structure wasn't just academic -- he was convicted of shoplifting hundreds of dollars of goods from T.J. Maxx in 1995, six years after she graduated from college.

So prepare for the "she was just a child" talking point.

Is it strange that Biden's nominee for Comptroller of the Currency is a communist who wants to ban the banks and a convicted thief?

No more strange than that his Energy Secretary is a demented cow who sings about banning gasoline and oil.

well myocarditis has been identified as a jab adverse effect, especially for young men.

As to the incidence of collapsing athletes worldwide...I used to be a fairly regular listener to the sports yakkers in my city and don't recall this many fallen athletes. There were the occasional guys who collapsed due to undiagnosed heart conditions, but they were rare.

They're clueless. They don't know what sort of energy is required to build a car. They don't know about the strip mines or child labor being employed in third world countries. They have zero clue as to what happens to these batteries when they need to be disposed of - and the first wave is almost upon us.

"That particular statement about oil and gas companies going bankrupt, as I said, that was taken out of context and I actually misspoke, it was not well framed," she said. "My intention was actually to say, exactly the opposite, that we need to help those companies to get restructured."

There is NO capacity to even double the market to 4% or over 700k units.

I have to wonder if people are aware of any of this. Or if the virtue signaling is just too much of a draw. In CA, they give some serious kickbacks for buying the things, every fifth car around me is a Tesla. Even with the perks, that's one expensive car. Sure, you can charge it for free everywhere. And the wine moms don't care because they never travel. But still. For the entire car to be dependent on tech that is almost already obsolete is crazy.

Supposedly, Toyota is close to a solid state battery, which could be a game changer. But having had some huge battery manufacturers as clients - well on a large scale they've got a long way to go. Little ones? After 30+ years huge strides. 3 decades and you can now power a lawn mower. Your cell phone is still toast after 3 years.

It's infuriating. My car has a touchscreen setup, but it isn't for everything. Climate controls, volume and tuning have real buttons. Ditto. My '86 S-Class I bought when it was 13 years old with about 133K on the clock, and in great condition. Drove it for 6 years without real difficulty, except paying for premium gas (19 mpg on that V-8!) and regular maintenance, until it was 17 and at 199K. It was totaled by a (probably drunken) driver while parked. I still miss it.

I met the owner at a Denver car show. He'd bought the next generation S-Class, and told me, "I should never have let the '86 go."

My take: designers are enamored of the now new technology for cars, and have gone ape in introducing everywhere, even where it makes no sense.

Kinda like website designers some years ago who put in all of animations, drop-down menus, etc., that were also a pain in the ass. Now that the novelty has worn off, common sense again gets a look-in.

422 I enjoyed driving my CPO '15 BMW 3 Series. It took premium, of course, but got such great mileage on the turbo 4 it became a game on my commute to see how well I could do while still driving swiftly. It was with me only 4 months -- I hadn't even had the oil changed the first time -- when it was totaled in a rain flood near my work.

A shame. But the big Buick was a great successor. The pleasure I get from driving that one is different from what the BMW gave me, but it's still a pleasure.

Most American cars (as opposed to SUVs or trucks) are coupes. Dodge and Ford have two-doors.

America has put all their eggs in the truck-platform basket, with pretty much all pickup lines having a four-door model available.

That said, several "foreign cars" are made in the US.

VW was still doing this up until the early 2000's. I had an '03 NB and the cup holders were in the center console, but directly below the dash in such a way that you were still only really getting a 12oz Coke in them.

Actually, the holders were on a swivel, so you could rotate it just enough to where ONE was out from under the dash and you could then get a medium Sonic cup in it.

Large? It's gonna lean up against some buttons and eventually the lid will work its way off. Route 44? Don't even think about it. You'd better have a passenger willing to hold that puppy for you.

Back seat cup holders were in the center armrest, and were WORTHLESS. There was next to nothing along the front edge. Stop hard with a cup in the backseat holders and momentum was gonna tump that shit all over the place, guaranteed.
