One Of The Original "Woke" Corporations Is At It Again: Race-Baiting Ben & Jerry's Lies About Kyle Rittenhouse

What a shock! A couple of leftists figure out a way to make a lot of money (how very socialist of them!) by selling ice cream along with a large dose of agrarian leftist bullshit (no rBGH in our ice cream!). They then cashed out 20 years later and sold their company to Unilever for $326,000,000, and stipulated that their company remain dedicated to the proposition that socialism is the greatest good.

Well...socialism and a healthy reading from the progressive playbook of lying and straw men and stoking racial animus, not to mention vilifying the rich (except for Ben and Jerry, who are such good people!). But here they cross the line into dangerous territory. There is nothing subtle about their point that Kyle Rittenhouse is being favored by the capitalist system and its running-dog lackeys in the judiciary, and that a poor Black boy who did the same thing would have long ago been strung up under the oak tree in the town square.

Progressive ice cream brand Ben & Jerry's dished out misinformation about Kyle Rittenhouse, plus completely invented a hypothetical scenario regarding the controversial shooting to racialize the powderkeg court case. The Vermont-based woke ice cream purveyor was called out for spreading a false narrative online.
The Rittenhouse shooting has absolutely nothing to do with race since the shooter and all of those who were shot were white men. Without a racial angle to exploit, Ben & Jerry's dreamt up a completely hypothetical situation out of thin air that never actually happened to bring race into the picture.
"The #RittenhouseTrial displays yet again that our 'justice' system is racist," the ice cream brand wrote on Twitter. "How would this trial be going if he was a Black 17 yr old that crossed state lines illegally carrying an AR-15 and shot 3 white protesters?"

Boycott Ben & Jerry's.

Boycott Unilever.

Until these corporations feel real pain they will continue to cater to the worst excesses of a social-media-driven society run amok. Punish them, and reward corporations that remain relatively neutral. Yes, they may be difficult to find, but they exist.

Besides, Ben & Jerry's ice cream isn't anything special, and the last time I ate some it was underwhelming. Hell, make your own!

I have a half century old cook book and looked up an ice cream recipe from my youth. Milk and heavy cream. I got out my slide rule and determined that the fat percentage of the combination is virtually the same as good old 'Half and Half'. Discounting the cost differential (if there is any) it certainly makes it easier.

Homemade vanilla extract - something else infinitely easy to make - and the ice cream is unbeatable.

I'm assuming there's a lot of "what did they say this time" that goes on in board rooms all over the country, but for some reason the companies keep letting it happen.

In other words, I suspect CEOs and other board members have almost no knowledge of what their twitter feeds are saying, until something controversial gets said, then it's scramble to repair the damage time.

Personally, I think it would make more sense to NOT have any social media "presence" at all, but apparently that's not possible these days.

Therein lies the problem; store-brand shampoo does exist but Suave is itself de facto generic and most stores treat it as such. Dollar store is worth looking into, and it's my understanding that VO5 is not a Unilever brand in the US. So there's options.

We had a small chain grocery store in CT that got hit by lightning, fried everything electric they had. They lost everything chilled or frozen and went out of business soon after that. Insurance didn't cover enough to let them reopen, plus they had just re done the entire store less than a year before the lightning hit.

148 Walmart makes a decent store ice cream that is inexpensive (well it was) and also will refreeze fairly well so it doesn't get all crunchy from too much water being in the original batch.

That means that you can get it soft enough to add some ingredients to it's Vanilla flaver (and it comes in 3 flavors of vanilla; plain, light, and bean).

What I do is buy some fresh fruit (my favorite is red raspberry) and put that in containers that were used for cottage cheese (so you get a lid that seals) and you can put in how much you want, then refreeze it and it's pretty good.

Giant Foods has a store ice cream in a gallon size that is creamier and the similar price (no 3 flavors) and you can do the same with it. To heck with Haagen Daaz and, B and J, and all the others which price out at 3-4 dollars for like a quart or less.

They don't really give a shit about the store, its owner or the customers. They do give a shit about the product they hate. If enough of this particular product was ruined every fucking day to make the owners of Ben and Jerry's take note, well that'd be a win. I personally don't care if Kroger's takes a hit on the ice cream. If enough locations lost their stock of Ben and Jerry's they might quit stocking it, or at least look into why it keeps ending up on the floor in a puddle. They've removed other products for less. Neither have I. I bought a cuisinart (sp) ice creme maker some years back. It makes great ice creme. The recipes that came with it are very good. Whole creme, vanilla. Vanilla beans are sort of expensive but last and I make my own vanilla.

I haven't bought Tide, Crest, Cascade or any Gillette product since and did send an email to P and G that I found that ad offensive and would boycott all their products and they should feature heroes like FireFighters or LEO and I might reconsider. Their FF/LEO ad painted the first responder as such a soyboi it just turned me off more.

It's not you, it's them. Most of the people at Newsmax are good conservatives, and they did get rid of a couple of obvious squishes, but management still will not cover the election fraud. And just recently they suspended their WH correspondent, Emerald Robinson, because of her comments about the vaccine. Very frustrating.

That's the thing. It's very clearly marketed to affluent white hipsters for whom fancy packaging is everything. You can have the most underwhelming product available, but the consoomers will swear it's the Best Thing Evar because the disposable packaging has 5 different pastel colors and a logo in fancy lettering.

My husband is Hispanic and has said that many ethnic Hispanics have a rule called "tortilla marketing". It posits that the more bland or underwhelming the packaging, the better the product. The name comes from tortilla packaging, where the best tortillas come in cheap plastic with only about three colors with a Mexican flag that looks like bad clipart and a brand name like "Ol�" printed in generic lettering, while the worst have six different colors and "Alice's Gourmet Tortilla Wraps" in fancy lettering surrounded by art of fresh vegetables.

B&J's entire schtick is very much tortilla marketing, just that the target demographic is the one that cares more about packaging than product.
