9 Good morning all.

Sky news is reporting that the 25 year old man who killed British MP Sir David Amess "is of Somali origin and the suspected motivation is Islamist..."

We may never know his real motivation...

11 Islamic terroristic acts have specific seeds. It is not the natural hunger for bacon and women, both of which Islam denies young men. No, not those ephemeral things. Instead, it is joblessness. I bet that killer in Britain was unemployed. Capitalism failed, again, and since Trump is the candidate of Capitalism, Trump failed him.

In a very real sense, Trump killed that MP.

You're not seeing this the way Our Betters do. They are not Americans. They are Citizens of the World.

So, fuck America. You just happened to be born in a rich country purely by accident, a quirk of fate as it were. There is nothing special about America, its culture, its system of governance, its majority religions, its financial system, etc, etc. And so now, you must be taught not only how the rest of the world lives (3rd world version). You must be forced to live that way, you bastard.

Oddly enough, forcing us randomly lucky bastards to live like 3rd worlders involves destroying, our culture, oursystem of governance, our judeo-christian traditions, our financial, our etc.

Ironic, no?

20 I bet that killer in Britain was unemployed.

Yes, the killer was a dedicated, honest, punctual hard-worker, loved by everyone for his kind demeanor and skills in the workplace, yet due to Kapitolism he was mercilessly thrown out into the streets where the only option available to put food on the table, a roof over his head, and clothes on his back, was to kill some dude at church.

That, or he was always a person of low character and reputation and this is the high water mark of his career.

For all who are not the Imago Dei types, the language of life, liberty, faith, and Rights are just sounds that have no meaning. They are completely uncapable of processing those words as much as a toddler comprehending astrophysics.

Posted by: lowandslow at October 16, 2021 08:03 AM

Yes, I knew that already. My question is regarding the statement on Twitter by "fact-checkers" that this policy is now in place. Last I knew, OSHA had not implemented -- and was not going to implement -- this policy.

This seems like misinformation put out specifically to address the fact that people are noting that FJB exempted post office employees from his mandate. And that the 100+ employee mandate does not exist either.

The wording is "OSHA mandates..." I interpret that to mean that OSHA put out some mandate yesterday. Or, as I said, this is misinformation by social media and no OSHA mandate exists (yet).

Not sure, and they do get DUIs and thus have to use their own POV to deliver mail, stuff like that.

And lose billions of dollars every quarter, requiring taxpayer injections of federal confetti bucks, yet claiming they are somehow self supporting. Making them prefund their retirement pension system, somebody did them a favor on that actually.

Now is a "good" time to go on strike in some people's eyes. But the Posties, I think they can't go on strike. That's part of their sweetheart deal as government/non government agency, depending on what day it is. Could get ... interesting real quick.

Yeah, I'm not sure who I detest more. Those involved in the Plandemic misinformation and disinformation campaign, or the millions of people who actually believe this illogical bullshit.

If a vaccine works, then the vaccinated cannot be infected with a virus. So the only people at risk of infection would be the non-vaccinated. The only way that a vaccinated person would be at-risk is if the vaccine does not work. In which case, it would not matter if 100% of people were vaccinated, everyone would still be at risk of infection.

This is just basic logic that a child could understand. Yet, every federal and state politician, agency, "health" dept, etc is going along with the "get vaxxed!" narrative. I feel like I have been living in fucking bizarro world the last 18 months.

This is a win-win for the America-hating, Great Reset leftists. They either destroy the military from within by indoctrinating and brainwashing all its members, making the military completely ineffective at its job of war-fighting, killing people and breaking things. Or they destroy the military through attrition, as they both drive people from the military and deter others from even thinking of joining in the future.

Posted by: Joey Biden at October 16, 2021 08:47 AM

Why bother putting any disclaimers, since those are not to keep people informed of the possible adverse effects of the drug so people can make an informed decision, but are solely as CYA for the drug companies in the event of a lawsuit. "We warned you that this could be a side effect, you still chose to take the drug, not our fault."

But in the case of the "vaccines", under the UEA, every company has immunity from liability. So no legal reason to warn people. There are ethical and moral reasons, but this country stopped caring about ethics and morals a long time ago.

Yep. I saw this on Twitter a while back (09/09/21). Coincidentally, it was *right* after I had written a blog post about the definition of a vaccine. So I went back and added the definition change to the post. Not surprising, since the left has been busy changing the definitions of words to fit their narrative for years (i.e. changing "racism" to now mean that minorities cannot be racist, since they are an oppressed group), but no less enraging.

By Definition, There is No SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 Vaccine. Period.

242 USPS is the only Executive branch agency that OSHA may cite as a private entity AND penalize. (Congress did that years ago.) When I heard the administration said USPS would be exempt, I thought it was political theater.

The USPS will continue to exist but the plan has been to reinvent much of the agency, and it seems it has begun. OSHA inspections/fines may help justify some closures, modifications.

Also, the USPS monitors email & its first class mail delivery is changing. (It and the banking industry already have strong ties.) Fewer mail deliveries to homes, less paper bills getting to user households in a timely manner which pretty much forces many resisters into online banking - easier for IRS monitoring and reporting.

NCAA task force recommends removing minimum standardized test scores in effort to advance racial equity

An NCAA task force recommended on Friday that incoming freshmen in Division I and II sports should no longer be required to meet minimum scores on standardized tests for initial eligibility.

The recommendation was made by the NCAA Standardized Test Score Task Force, which was formed as part of the NCAA's eight-point plan to advance racial equity.

Elon Musk announced on Thursday October 7 that Tesla would relocate its headquarter from Palo Alto, California to Austin, Texas. [ ... ]

Coincidentally, something interesting happened at the international arena less than twenty four hours later. The US government led an international effort to impose a minimum business tax around the globe in order to get multinational companies to pay their fair share of taxes. The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) announced on Oct. 8, 2021, that, effective in 2023, its members have agreed to set a global corporate minimum tax rate of 15%. [ ... ] The landmark deal championed by the US government, agreed by 136 countries and jurisdictions representing more than 90% of global GDP, will nominally reallocate more than $125 billion of profits from around 100 of the world's largest and most profitable multinational corporations to countries worldwide, ensuring that these firms pay a fair share...

The problem in in enforcement, and the fact that there is no unified body to enforce the requirement. All of the megacorps will be able to buy one of the smaller governments, which will then certify to the others that yes, they paid their taxes to us. It's tough to move. Hubby NEC and I have done it 3 times in retirement. I didn't like the first move and he didn't like the second. We've been here 6 months and so far so good. However, you miss a lot of things when you move from a metro area of close to a million to a state that's just about that population.
We live just outside a town of 638 souls and 20 minutes from an area that's a bit over 100,000. We have to go to the big city for the chain type places and swanky dining. Also the big box stores.

340 146, If you are still here, the Glock 19 is a classic pistol so the major question is the red dot sight.

If you have astigmatism, people have trouble with the red dot as it appears fuzzy. If you don't, then the red dot is fine but I would suggest co witness with tall iron sights. The reason is that some people used to iron sights have a problem chasing the red dot so tall iron sights means that your brain has a point of reference to locate where the dot is supposed to be. Otherwise, it takes a spot of training yourself on presenting the firearm (from a draw) so that the red dot appears where it is supposed to be.

Was he actually from Cleveland or from a suburb around Cleveland? (i.e. I live in Rochester Hills, about 20 min drive north of downtown Detroit, but when I say that, people have no idea where that is in Michigan. So I just say "Detroit area").

I remember in college when I was meeting people and I told them I was from Chicago and they'd say "oh yeah, so am I!" And when I asked what part, they'd say some suburb (Shaumburg, Naperville, etc). I'd tell them that's not actually Chicago. Then they'd look at my funny when I told them I was from the southside of Chicago. They'd ask if I meant Orland Park, Tinley Park, etc. "Um, no, actual city limits of Chicago. Near Midway Airport." They'd then just stare at me with a puzzled look on their faces.

All of the megacorps will be able to buy one of the smaller governments, which will then certify to the others that yes, they paid their taxes to us. 385 I have LifeLock too. It's more of an "identity" management and restoration service. That used to be a real hassle to resolve, especially if someone took out a loan in your name, bought property, etc.

I've put a "hold" or "freeze" on my credit card before when I saw weird charges I couldn't reconcile. That means that if someone else has the CC number and the security code to use it, the merchant will decline the transaction. Now, if that person has access to your online account to unfreeze it you're probably fucked. That's where LifeLock might be a better fit to help resolve things.

386 I'm not saying anything one way or the other about lifelock as a service, but it's easy and free to put a lock on your credit account so no one can take out a new credit card or the like without going through the additional steps that you set up.

I have had something like this setup with my Fifth Third Bank accounts for years now. They also have things you can setup for low balance to get notified with a text when your balance goes under a certain amount. And for years they have had account monitoring where they will send you a text of "unusual activity" on your account and ask you to confirm a transaction was made by you.

And their service for fixing incorrect transactions was very efficient, at least in the one situation I had to use it. I noticed a double charge to my account for $150 for a gaming service that I don't even have. I called the number to report it, they took all my information and asked me if I had any idea how my card info could have been stolen, etc, then said it would be reviewed and I would receive an answer in a couple weeks. 2 weeks later, I had a letter stating the charges had been removed from my account and money reimbursed.

395 The saddest concert experience I had was going to a Jimmy Buffet concert. Middle aged people acting like this was the only thing they had to live for, wearing Hawaiian shirts and puking up Corona. That was over twenty years ago, it's got to be more pathetic now.
Posted by: lowandslow

I HS gal pal lives in a Buffett retirement community these days. Add 20 years to the age of your concert participants and there you are. Nothing changed except they are getting arrested for DWI in golfcarts.

Le sigh.

397 Heh. Im the opposite. I was born and raised in a big city, went to college in one and then lived in NYC and Paris among others. I like taking a few days out in the woods in a cabin or camping or what have you. But I would go insane living in the middle of nowhere full time.

I live in a small-ish city now and I consider it a small town. My wife who grew up in a town of 5000 thinks it is a big city, lol.

It is all relative.

409 When last we heard from communist adherent and fan of murderous totalitarian Che Guevara Spenser Rapone, he was drummed out of the service under other-than-honorable conditions for his "protest" at his West Point Graduation. That's taxpayer money on a first-class education well spent. You'll recall he had been reported years earlier for anti-American posts. The system failed us.

So here we are, three years later, and we get word from Poetrooper on the current employment of former 2nd Lieutenant Rapone. He's apparently thriving in academia. Not surprising since modern collegiate academia has been host to many communist sympathizers and even outright far-left domestic terrorists (i.e. Bill Ayers and others).

I used to have active accounts with a credit union that was merged into Navy Federal (thanks Dad, for serving and getting me in). Never had bad service there, even after the change. I mostly use the largest local credit union in San Diego instead.

Can't see much sense in making the site of the wreck a "protected zone". There isn't much left of it, and despite the ship's historic value, it was sold off, and under tow to another port when it sank. So it's not even a grave site, just metal and boards.

419 Traditionalists also have authoritarian tendencies.

F*cking bastards.

Progressives literally make you carry around your papers, ban you from attending church, visiting family, seeing loved ones in the hospital, attending graduations, weddings and funerals, get forced medical injections, track your bank transactions, snoop in your communications, and hide your face in shame like you are a diseased rat or a cockroach.

None of that stuff is "traditional".

If I were not a man touched by the grace of God, I'd feel the urge to find whoever wrote that and smash their head against a rock.

As is, I soldier on.

Same here re Chicago -- Chicago Lawn until '66, high school at Lindblom in Englewood and southwest burbs after that. Liked it there; practically lived at the Colony and Marquette theaters and blew way too much money on sf paperbacks at Penner's Drugs and the Cameo Grill's racks.

Wouldn't visit the area now on a bet.
