Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Saturday Overnight Open Thread (10/9/21)“Do you remember the first time we had sex together over fifty years ago? We went behind the village tavern where you leaned against the back fence and I made love to you.” “Yes”, she says, “I remember it well.” “OK”, he says, “How about taking a stroll around there again and we can do it for old time’s sake?” “Oh Moshe, you old devil, that sounds like a crazy, but good idea!” A police officer sitting in the next booth heard their conversation and, having a chuckle to himself, he thinks to himself, I’ve got to see these two old-timers having sex against a fence. I’ll just keep an eye on them so there’s no trouble. So he follows them. The elderly couple walks haltingly along, leaning on each other for support aided by walking sticks. Finally, they get to the back of the tavern and make their way to the fence The old lady lifts her skirt and the old man drops his trousers. As she leans against the fence, the old man moves in… Then suddenly they erupt into the most furious sex that the policeman has ever seen. This goes on for about ten minutes while both are making loud noises and moaning and screaming. Finally, they both collapse, panting on the ground. The policeman is amazed. He thinks he has learned something about life and old age that he didn’t know. After about half an hour of lying on the ground recovering, the old couple struggle to their feet and put their clothes back on. The policeman, is still watching and thinks to himself, this is truly amazing, I’ve got to ask them what their secret is. So, as the couple passes, he says to them, “Excuse me, but that was something else. You must’ve had a fantastic sex life together. Is there some sort of secret to this?” Shaking, the old man is barely able to reply, “Fifty years ago that wasn’t an electric fence.” H/T Isophoroneblog Plane flying ‘will you marry me’ banner crashes on island, killing passenger On the bright side, he didn't die in a plane crash. I flew out to St. Augustine yesterday from LA (though Satan tried to stop me by breaking one plane and having the Jax ATC walk off the job because of a vax mandate) to see my 3 Kids and meet my first Grandson Jaxson for the first time. He's six months old.
The little guy was having a terrible day and was in the worst mood he's been in for months. The second he saw me he broke into a grin, and put his arms out for me to grab him, even though he's never seen me or heard my voice before. What a beautiful, brilliant little egg he is! Staying through Tuesday then it's back to Hell. Kids are all on board with me moving out to St. A and us starting a family business similar to the one I'm working at in Cali now - packing and moving oldsters into assisted livinmemory care as a service. I lose that job on 11/7 when I refuse the vaccine. Hopefully FL will be saner when I move here in December and start that business. Posted by: Sharkman at October 09, 2021 09:34 PM (/7aTk) 107

Lamb lollipops on the grill with mashed potatoes and gravy coming soon to a USB port near you! The lamb is marinated for a few hours and a little bit of olive oil fresh herbs and a very small amount of a mix similar to Montreal seasoning. Medium rare for me barely medium for the distaff side. Fresh mashed potatoes and gravy. Nice bottle of red wine. The lamb unfortunately was aggressively pre-frenched as that's all I can get around here at this time of year. I prefer to leave as much of the good stuff on the bone as possible. Pre-frenched. I think that's illegal in 37 states. Not Clear On The Comcept: Some people have different ideas on how much Bacon is necessary, or even technically legal, maybe. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger overseas once at an AAFES outlet. Now their hamburgers aren t anything to write home about, but they are better than... Well I get my order and think they made a mistake. No Bacon. I pick up the bun, and sure enough, there was maybe one strip of limp, almost thin clear (probably) bacon about the size of a band aid.
Bacon is kind of tough or tricky in the restaurant biz I expect, because it has to be both fried a bit crispy and also be crispy on the end result. Posted by: Common Tater at October 09, 2021 09:51 PM (1dy4V) 190

Russetts make fine spuds for hashbrowns. They are kind of a pain to make because after they are shredded they need to be rinsed out thoroughly of excess starch. Then, they need to be dried thoroughly, the drier the better, Dry. Did I say drier the hetter? Dry, if you want crispy. I've not really found a non pain in the ass way to do that. I prefer frying spuds and eggs in butter. For all that spuds are not low carb, can't say I eat them too much except as a treat once in a while.

171 What happened to your hand LCD?
Posted by: Jewells45 Dupuytren's Contracture. It's hereditary, my late dad had it, too. When I first got it diagnosed 7 years ago, the hand specialist said that nobody really knows why it occurs, but he said that it was fairly common in people with Viking ancestry. It is apparently a gene that makes one heal faster after a wound. And keeps growing under the skin of my palm and restricts muscles over time. There is a shot that the doc shoots into the cords that develop between the skin and the muscle, partially dissolving it, but it can also dissolve the soft tissue between knuckles, so it's tricky. On Monday I go back in, and after numbing the hand first, they snap it and it breaks and heals. Full range restored. The other option is open surgery of the hand, and they clean it out. Other than that, nobody seems to know how it occurs. So, Viking and German ancestry is my heritage. I have this sudden urge from time to time to conquer the world by force. Well, the airlines are well and truly fucked up. I won't accept a multiple-stop flight for what should be a 3.5 hour direct flight. I want to take the dog with me in a crate, so anything other than a non-stop flight is non-starter. And the prices are now sky-high.

true story: the house on the corner has been a "fortune teller" since we moved in, albeit with different Roma families living there. one family moved in, and decorated their front porch with a several foot tall geode half, full of amethysts...
i almost said something, but figured they'd just blame me when it went missing. sure enough, one day it was no longer there. a while later i had reason to knock on their door, and, in the convo, asked about it in passing. My 16-year-old niece decided to throw a party. My sister/her mom has tried to be hospitable, ordered pizza and what not. But a lot more kids showed up than anyone expected. Niece is trying to play it cool. My sister is losing her shit. My mom/niece's grandma/also my sister's mom is trying to keep my sister calm and only making her more crazy. I was just joking with my sister, she should just tell the kids someone's called the police and they're on their way. My hunch is that most of the guests would leave in that situation. :-) I should mention that thus far everyone I've bumped into has been polite/non-crazy. The pesticide that Raid sells under the "Fumigator" name, is a water reactive crystal that emits a poisonous smoke, comprised of some of the smallest, finest smoke particles possible to be produced. It's made to fully penetrate walls via the electrical outlets, and other such nooks and crannies. Wickedly effective, I've used it to kill termites, bedbugs and other tough opponents.

Just reading a story from the UK. You know those keyless car systems, with the remote start and all that?
Well, car thieves have been using a sophisticated device to hack all of that, and basically just drive away with the vehicles. It's a handheld device, which can hack into the entry and engine start systems. Thieves come up, press a few keys and get it and drive off. Posted by: publius, Rascally Rapscallion (Mzdiz) at October 10, 2021 12:28 AM (Mzdiz) --- they have been doing something similar here in Lost Angels, for awhile. ~$20 device captures and boosts the signal from that whiz-bang remote in your house, and presto, you car is unlocked and started. if there's a long driveway/big yard, one goes up towards the house, and the other stands near the car... Herself keeps hers in a Faraday cage bag, unless she's walking out the door. Posted by: redc1c4 *OTUS Zhou Bai-Din Cheated & we all know it at October 10, 2021 01:03 AM (IuPpm) 492

Oh, local Coof story with some close friends of the family. One of my mother's young girlfriends, 83, got the Coof a little over two weeks ago. We just found out about it. My mother is 91, and Polly here is one of her young girlfriends. Polly visited a woman a little over two weeks ago. Woman's husband died of the Coof, and the woman herself got it. She infected Polly. All of these were vaccinated, mind you, fully, and way back in early 2021 when it was just for the 65+ and high-risk cohort. Polly didn't suspect the Coof at first, because symptoms were gastro, not respiratory (Coof can do that -- that Baric/Batwoman engineered spike is very efficient at infecting human cells). Long story short, she's okay now, on the upswing. Her family got her to a local renegade doc, who gave her ivermectin, HCQ, and the whole FLCCC protocol and whatever else he though might help. She got a little short of breath at one point, but she's okay. She said her lungs still aren't hitting on all 8 yet -- she can get winded easy, but she's over the hump and recovering. As I understand it, this doc has sourced his own ivermectin, etc. Posted by: publius, Rascally Rapscallion (Mzdiz) at October 10, 2021 01:24 AM (Mzdiz) 525
