College Football Crowds Across the Country Chant "F*** Joe Biden"

Lee Smith noted the spontaneous outbreak of "F*** Joe Biden chants at football games this weekend.

leesmithfjoebiden.png

Video of the chants at the link.

PJ Media also noted the trend:

A profane three-word chant directed at the president was bellowed during several NCAA football games Saturday, from North Carolina and Virginia to Alabama and Texas.

Even at CNN, Womanly Soft-Bodied Thumb Chris Cillizza wrote two contradictory tweets, the first blaming sports crowds for our being unable to "turn the corner" on covid, the other saying how "awesome" it is that huge football crowds are bouncing up and down to House of Pain's "Jump" once more.

Meanwhile, in formerly free Australia, the premier warns that the unvaccinated will be "locked out" of civil society entirely.

27 They were shouting "BUFF JOE BIDEN!" It has one of two meanings:
1. Joe Biden is super buff. Vigorous. Capable. A word of praise.
2. Joe Biden needs to spiff himself up a little (get a bit of a buffing). He's an everyman - a veritable Joe Lunchbox - but this means he may need to get out of his comfort zone to appear sharper or more polished on the international stage. This is calling out a legitimate need of the President as he interacts with other world leaders, even though the need for it comes from a place of humility and respect.

It is false reporting if the writer insists that college football fans are chanting epithets about the President.

The fact of the matter is that the challenges we're facing as we work through the pandemic are exacerbated by the unwillingness of the hesitant populations to obtain - and maintain - their vaccine batteries. A large gathering for the great national pastime of collegiate football can be safe and wonderful if people are vaccinated, or a severe danger if people are not.

This is why public health measures like vaccine confirmation ("vaccine ID" or similar concepts), mandatory vaccination, and severe mobility and social restrictions for those who have not yet been vaccinated are so important. We can go back our lives the way we want, but we have to comply to vaccine requirements. Vaccination to conquer a severe public health crisis is a small price to pay for the restoration of certain pre-pandemic freedoms that people once took for granted.

Zombie Nation played, we all jumped/bounced along. Our seismology department registered it as a 2.1 on the Richter scale.

The proper response to "those who refuse the jab will be unable to participate in the economy" is:

"Those who direct the power of the state to expel us from the economy, society, and civil like are going to be excluded from 'not filling hastily bulldozed pits' "

Canada surely intends to follow, with the announcement on Friday that all modern arms must be turned in, rendered inoperable, or permanently modified.

185 All due respect to Lee Smith but "they" aren't panicking. Smith is smoking from the same waterpipe as people who claim "this just shows they're afraid of us because they're weak and they know they're losing".

With each new violation of our right, each new transgression against liberty, each act of vandalism against the economy, each undercutting of natsec, committed and gotten away with by TPTB, some on our side still insist it's a sign of weakness.

If that's what you get away with when panicking, I want to panic. If that's losing, when do we get to "lose"?

Compare the dates they started their vax programs, and the dates they started their booster programs, to the inflection points.

The vax isn't just worthless, it's less than worthless, and western censorship regarding certain treatments when compared to the same graphs in other nations vs. their adoption of those treatment protocols is illuminating.

Posted by: Moron Robbie - (BMWRT)

I would say "no longer GET AWAY with producing ..."
There was competition in the 60s, but it was mostly driven by hp, comfort, and style. Then the 70s came and it was all about emissions (first pollution, then economy) and safety. These were gov. mandates.

Every industry naturally competes when there are multiple players. The early Jap cars were no more reliable than the American ones, but they had a very very bad perception because they were so flimsy (very thin sheet metal = lots of rust) So they amped up the quality game. They also had the discipline and manufacturing attitude which was to their advantage.

My point is that the US industry had four of five things going against it, and never had time to focus on quality. (Emissions, safety, economy, unions, sclerotic management). Not really saying anything new, but it galls me that people complain about US being crap. What do you want, crash testing, or reliability? new economic engines, or reliability? Ligh (pixy)

340 There was the story about a record low number of men attending college. On Twitter, the journalists and other Democrats had an unusual reaction: that's bad because if they don't go to college they're much more likely to be conservative.

Why SHOULD they go to college?!?

I say this as a straight white man with a useless PhD in a stupid field (but not as dumb as Dr. Jill's). There is no point in a man going to college today. None. It's a straight-up setup for rape charges, rots your brain, enforces conformity, and saddles you with a metric fuck ton of debt.

Chicks will still blow you if you don't go to college.

They only replace the engine if it fails. I have one of those. They did a software update that repurposes some of the sensors to detect if the engine is at risk of failure because of the problem. If it triggers, the engine goes into "limp home" mode and dealer will deal with it. Forever - they extended the powerplant to a lifetime warranty on the short block as a result.

I am not real happy that this may eventually happen to me, but it is what it is. It's was a first-generation (with a couple of tweaks) engine with their new direct-injection gas system.

462 236 As a former owner of Ford and Chevy cars made in the 80's, Japanese mfg cars were a game changer.

Nothing we've got in the household (excepting the spousal Tesla) has less than 100K on it now. No Japanese nameplates at the moment but we've owned a few Toyotas 150-220K mile range, a Saab 9000 that went 220K though with some occasional electrical entertainment, a couple 150-200K-mile BMWs, recently parted with a 200K-mile Suburban, still have the 170K mile Silverado and 200K-mile Express van, 120K-mile Merc GL550.

Japanese competition was one thing, another was the EPA 100K-mile emissions warranty which pretty much mandated weathersealed electrical systems.

Modern cars are disposed of more because of electrical or aesthetic problems than major mechanical failures, they've depreciated beyond the point of economical repair.

Then there's the 2AM visit from the guy with the Sawzall removing your catalytic converters...

Serious question. When asked about global warming, President Bush 43's NASA Administrator, Mike Griffin, answered that to his knowledge, no one had ever demonstrated what the optimal temperature of the Earth's atmosphere was. He then followed that with the observation that no one had ever demonstrated what the best way to get to that temperature would be, but if he had to guess, banning carbon dioxide would not be it.

500 First job out of college was at a Ford dealership. At that time, selling cars was the focus. Fast-forward 30 years and I had a recent conversation with a coworker whose family owned a dealership. I asked her to confirm or deny my theory that dealerships no longer sell cars; they sell warranties that also happen to include a new car. She laughed and confirmed that they make piddly on each car they sell. They are in business for the servicing of warranties. If you want to keep your ten-year warranty in good standing, you have to stay current on all scheduled repairs -- netting the dealership quite a haul in the life of the vehicle. (Shockingly, when your car's constantly in the dealership, things tend not to fail in ways that necessitate the warranty kicking in.)

Once a car is at operating temp, starting won't hurt it, but it's gotta be hell on the starter motor and battery, being used 10x more than usual. And if the engineers who developed the asinine concept had anything to do with engine design, they most likely buried the starter behind 10 hours of labor's worth of crap mechanics have to remove to gain access to the two bolts that hold it in.

550 The Georgia Bulldogs football team is more than 90% vaccinated against COVID-19 and yet they're still dealing with the very harsh reality of positive tests from players and staff members that are fully vaccinated against the virus.

So the natural conclusion would be..... eh, forget it, it's not about public health.

Yet they managed to make the third best piston engine fighter during WWII.

_________

The best British aircraft date from the mid-1930s and then, unlike the Americans and Germans, the creativity was largely spent.

554 Wanting to change to BMW, because of all the bells and whistles... probably going to regret it.
You probably will. Had one, smoothest ride ever, they got that down perfect, but never ending engine problems.

555 The video of the fans going wild made my heart feel so good.

People living their lives, having a blast supporting their football team and acting crazy did my heart good.

We need to get back to this and allow people to live their lives. If you are scared, stay home. Quarantines are for sick people, locking down healthy people is tyranny.

556 320 Biden is doing a COVID speech tomorrow? Well, the Biden Junta is probably desperate to deflect from Afghanistan, so, Joe will probably seek to punish us for questioning the Afghanistan failure.

557 Biden was in NJ and NY today talking up climate change and hurricanes being a result of this. What a tool. What was nice is the Trump supporters who showed up and flipped him off, and held "Fuck Biden" and "Trump Won" signs.

Seconded. The engines are awesome but there is more to building a car than the engine.

563 Dad got a '71 442 after getting back from Viet Nam. As I remember, it must've lasted maybe one or two fill-ups before it got replaced by something more family oriented. Fun car, though.
