Quick Hits: The Biden Family Debates Draconian Criminal Penalties for Crack Use Edition

sorryibrokeupwithyou.jpg

Psychiatrist: Biden's "almost just holding on" with regard to his mental ability.

Government in action:

Preach:

Also preach:

Julie Kelly cracked a joke on twitter, calling Officer Finoch' a "crisis actor." This was a joke, as any non-autistic person could understand. A reference, yes, to Alex Jones' use of the term, but of course not meaning the same thing.

The left went bananas and has been trying to cancel her all day, going so far as to call the companies her husband represents to see if they would cancel her husband.

Joining in the cancellation effort? National Review, of course.

The grossly fat opera reviewer Kevin D. Williamson amplified the left's cancellation attempt, and Julie Kelly made another joke:

Hah!

59 When I see anything by Kevin Williamson, I'm reminded about Hannibal Lecters' speech to Clarice..

You know what you look like to me, with your good bag and your cheap shoes? You look like a rube. A well scrubbed, hustling rube with a little taste. Good nutrition's given you some length of bone, but you're not more than one generation from poor white trash, are you, Mr. Williamson? And that accent you've tried so desperately to shed: pure West Texas. What is your father, dear? Is he a coal miner? Does he stink of the lamp? You know how quickly the boys found you... all those tedious sticky fumblings in the back seats of cars... while you could only dream of getting out... getting anywhere... getting all the way to the National Review.

It's neat how they were already revving up the "no one knows the long term effects of this strange and completely unknown virus that no one has ever seen before and is completely new and novel" engine back in March 2020 or so.

Prescient almost.

That length of outage to EBT systems is extraordinarily unlikely, just like it would be for the card service and gift card platforms. It isn't impossible - nothing is impossible - but it is massively unlikely. I used to work in the transaction processing business and outages are actually fairly frequent for one reason or another, but they are typical not total outages and the outages are brief. An hour is a long time in that world.

To go down for weeks is possible, but it would require such a catastrophic loss of infrastructure that it probably correlates with a major event like an act of war or a continental power outage. What is more likely is a moderate outage that fucks up the accounting and creates a lot of headaches and some people being cleared to transact who shouldn't be, and others being denied wrongly. That crap actually happens all the time, but it is cleaned up quickly.

I think he's so wrapped up in his own stuff (ability to party, f*ck and party) that the limelight isn't something that appeals to him. He's content pulling strings if/when he can. It's people like the old man that seek attention and validation. I do think though that something in that family is going to implode. But I see it more as Biden in his dementia decides there's a plot against him - and that includes the entire family.

According to IMDb, Aykroyd, Murray, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts are all connected with the film, and Murray resisted all calls to play Venkman again until now. "The script is good. It's got lots of emotion in it. It's got lots of family in it. . . ."

And there are callbacks to the original, little details like shots of the late Egon's collection of "spores, molds, and fungus." Even if it fails, it may fail in a good way, if that makes any sense.

I told the banker, "I am desperate and you know it. I'm going to sign on the line. But you need to know that if your underwriters insist on making me pay 15%, I am not carrying this loan to term. Everything else goes on the back burner, and your bank is going to earn radically less." He shrugged.

I don't know. I financed a car in 2017 (needed to finance it to get the come-on price break that got the car to the price I wanted). I had damn near perfect credit and no debt and the interest rate was 7.9%. I had saved for that car and didn't need to finance it. i read the fine print and I had to carry the loan for three months or they'd claw back the discount.

So I paid off 90% of it the first day and let it run out on auto-pay from there. I paid something like twenty bucks in interest, but it struck me as odd that my rate was that high in the first place. I am a great credit risk by every metric.

What "other qualities" are you discussing? And, if you haven't noticed, most women are not married to rich guys. Yeah, they want someone who values success and can take care of a family. If someone shows a poor work ethic, blows his money on expensive toys while renting some mediocre place, instead of working responsibly, building equity in a home, and saving/investing, a lot of women will pass. I don't have a problem with that, and think it's responsible on the woman's part. If she said "he's really hot" so I have to waste a few years on him even though he wastes every penny he earns and has no ambition, I'd question her values and intelligence.

315 @270 banana dream-Your story is eclipsed by the ones of women living comfortably in a nice home not having to work for 6-7 years to raise kids while hubby makes six figures. Then in the 20008-9 crash is out of work for nine months and begins to hear the rumblings of you're lazy and do not want to work even when they have applied for low wage shit jobs at places like Home Depot amongst 2,000 other applicants. I know shitloads of these type of stories.

The other stories are of the guys that help put their girlfriend or wife through college, she gets her degree and bails. In fact that story is the most common. Guys bailing on a female after she foots the bill is an outlier, the exception not the rule. Women will not support a man for an extended period of time if they are not earning.

No it's not just men, but "back in the day" women were sort of expected to work to put the guy through a graduate program, and then find something for themselves. I'm glad that's over. I had a few friends get divorced for "thanks" as he moved on to someone from law school, or an MBA program.
But yeah, I know women who did that too. They used the same "we have more in common line". Of course they did, as the spouse had to divert their goals into a steady income to pay tuition instead of being "interesting".

No, I mean that for most men, once a woman reaches a certain level of attractiveness, he's generally going to be satisfied. It's why you often see successful guys with average women: she often brings something more than her looks to the relationship. Men will take a 6-7 in attractiveness over an 8-9 because the former has other qualities far more often than a woman will choose a manager who makes $85k a year over a VP who makes $250k a year or more.

382 "Biden has driven four vehicles and a motorcycle throughout his lifetime, totaling 18 wheels."

Pretty sure you need a special drivers license to be allowed on the road with an 18 wheeler - at least you used to when my brother drove them.

This would be an easy check by anyone who had the time and inclination...did Punchy ever own a CDL for operating an 18 wheel rig?

383 No matter how hard Kevin Williamson tries to pretend he's one of the elites, pretend he belongs at the cool kids table ... he will always be white trash. He knows that, hence the overcompensation.

389 One of the many "tells" of Biden's inherent, low intelligence (even pre-dementia) has been his perennial tendency to dramatically draw out the most obvious points in lists and repetition.

For example, he will say things like "this will keep it away from my grandmather, your uncle, etc" to give himself the thrill of extemporising on one of his talking points, with such an obvious leash that there is zero creativity or intellectual ability involved.

Now, it commonly manifests itself in repetition of things like "we must, we must, we must..." so, again, he gets to feel like he's "doing something" with his scripted remarks, in the most inane, low-level way possible.

Joe was always a dolt.
