Buckhead Rhymes With F&%*head GOPe

buckhead gates.jpg

It sounds great, and is something that more suburbs of leftist-hell-holes should be doing. Take their tax money and go home! And then use that money to hire the cops that the leftist-hell-holes didn't.

Wealthy Suburb Wanting 'Divorce' from Crime-Ridden Atlanta Will Get Senate Hearing

Except...the society-destroying policies that created and then supported those leftist-hell-holes for three generations were tacitly supported by the very Republicans who seem to congregate in wealthy suburbs outside of cities. And sometimes not so tacitly.

The Buckhead Republicans

As an organization, The Buckhead Republicans do not officially endorse individual candidates but rather rather we encourage knowledge and support of all Republican candidates.
Sure, their website has a photo of President Trump, so they clearly aren't NeverTrump liberals, but a platform that explicitly supports all Republican candidates is a mush-mouthed way to avoid taking a stand.

Far too many of those Republicans getting Buckhead's support are typical inside-the-beltway grifters who have no coherent political philosophy other than getting reelected and sucking on the government teats. They are the ones who find nothing wrong with Socialism LiteTM, as long as they get their cut. So while Buckhead undoubtedly has concrete, quantifiable concerns about the further collapse of Atlanta's municipal services and the inability of Georgia Democrats to run..anything (check out the airport for some laughs), the good people of Buckhead should have been a bit more particular about who they supported, because it is those folks who have enabled the third-world esthetic that dominates in blue cities in America.

As Buck Throckmorton pointed out recently about the judiciary, it is time for realpolitik. Screw collegiality and bipartisanship and all of the buzzwords of the losing side. If Buckhead wants to survive, they need to support only firebrand conservatives who unequivocally support traditional American values, are philosophically opposed to government welfare, shoot guns, drive big cars and hate the Beltway.

Because their support of some closeted big-government liberals has created exactly the conditions that have them in a froth! Do they really think that supporting a bunch of Romneys and other turncoats to conservatism will be counterbalanced by a photo of President Trump and a few bucks tossed to a few real conservatives?

60 This is an emotional commentary, and one that while understandable, should be rethought. We should support Buckhead leaving, because what we want out of it the principal of "sometimes, it is acceptable to divorce." After that, it doesn't matter who runs Buckhead or who they support, because they will have done themselves what they would denounce in others.

Buckhead should have our full support, so that Buckhead does not mess with the rest of Georgia later...in a credible manner. If it ever came to a point where they had to choose. If the good businessmen of Buckhead choose to give the rest of the state of Georgia something--a precedent, as well as a dimunition in any moral authority they bring to any future fights--we should welcome it. We should gladly sell to Buckhead not rope to hang themselves, but rope cutters to untangle themselves, for both themselves, and in case of need, others.

On January 30, 1835, Richard Lawrence attempted to assassinate Andrew Jackson. He shot at him with a pistol that misfired. He then drew a second pistol that also misfired.

Jackson was so enraged that he attacked Lawrence with his cane.

Lawrence's life was saved by Davy Crockett who stopped Jackson from beating him to death.

The vote by mail process in Colorado is specifically designed to allow Democrats to cheat. The 2020 results, just looking at the raw numbers, are appalling.

Until the Colorado election system is overhauled either through some legal mechanism, or some other process, there is no point to any Republican to vote for any position other than a local election.

From my view of the numbers, Colorado, Washington, and Oregon are the most corrupt states in the country from an election standpoint.

104 The Republican Party's future is tied to their ability to embrace the policies of Trump. They don't necessarily need Trump, but they have to get on board with the Trump agenda if they want to win.

They have a historic opportunity in the rust belt to take away the "blue wall" from the Democrats for at least a generation. But to do it, they have a embrace a few key positions.

1) Working Class - Policies that address middle class issues (this is more than wages and job opportunity, it includes basic fairness on issues triggered by CRT)

2) Nationalism - America first, American interests first, American citizens first. Interestingly there is strong historical evidence that global socialism and communism has been broken by nationalism in country after country.

3) Foreign Intervention Skepticism - There is support for a strong military, but only if used as a deterrence and in national interest.

If the GOP embraces these core principals, then they hold a dominant electoral position in PA, OH, MI, WI, and IA. The voting trends in those states are trending sharply toward the GOP, but only if the CoC types aren't allowed to shape the agenda.

135 And the cycle would repeat again in the new, more conservative nation
------------
Actually, there is a lot of demographic evidence that over time populations become more politically sophisticated and vote toward more conservative positions. This has been the Republican party by default (not defending the GOPe liars here).

The reason that states like California keep voting Democrat is that they are constantly increasing the numbers of unsophisticated voters through immigration, and socialist indoctrination of the youth.

The problem for the Democrats and their 10-20 year plans is that people keep refusing to act like they expect. The spend 20 years setting up California as a socialist paradise, only to have people say "screw this" and leave.

If you go by historical precedent, the minorities that the Dems are bringing in through illegal immigration will be voting for Conservatives in 20 years. This is what happened to the Italians and the Irish. It happened big this last election in the Florida Hispanic community.

Interesting analysis. I'd say most of history shows nations gradually consolidate power at the federal level, until it becomes so intolerable that revolution reorganizes things, and the process starts anew. That certainly the path the nation appears to be on, and we even had our own internal revolution (which greatly increased federal power in the aftermath).

167 The electorate, whichever portion is sentient and reasonably interested in sane policies, is trapped in a dead two-party "system". Dead in the sense that it offers no real choice.

Trump was a clear choice, and actually walked in and took a major party nomination as a true outsider - a unique event in modern history. THAT is how un-represented so many people rightly feel.

But they're still trapped. The GOP hasn't changed a smidgen since Trump came down the escalator - in fact they have become much, much worse. So bad that they stand by and breathe a sigh of relief when Trump is removed under the most suspicious circumstances of any national election in modern times.

They would also love it if the GOP voters would just shrug over the 2020 results and say "oh well, we'll get em next time, let's go mix some martinis"

But the party base has changed. The party can change to address the priorities of the base, or it can die. Without votes, it doesn't matter how much money the make through grift, their only future is as K street lobbyists. Democrats will be more than happy to have 400+ seats in the House.

They are unable to act as a cohesive party unlike the Dems. Hell, McConnell always has 3, 4, 5 or more Senators who go off the reservation when their votes are really needed. Well, someone who voted for Trump in '16 hoping for a dramatic change in policy - got it. Of course it was entirely in areas where the executive can act alone - even with comically unconstitutional interference from the judiciary, as Trump suffered (and did not repudiate).

Reagan obviously was also a huge change in course.

That is hasn't generated a gigantic froofrarah in the legal cult surprises me. At the time I was distracted and didn't focus on it and haven't gone back to make up for that. But my impression at the time was that is made executive orders the equivalent of laws, when standing on your left foot and blinking your right eye at a certain rate (or "reasoning" equivalent to that, i.e. typical SCOTUS nonsense legislating and constitutional amendment-ing from the bench).
