Kristi Noem Whines, Dishonestly, That Her Transgender Activism Was "Misreported;" Takes a Passive-Aggressive, Bitchy Shot at DeSantis

Whining and bad-faith deflections and passive-aggressive put-downs -- how presidential. How statesmanlike!

How stunning and brave!

This ditzy South Dakota 7, New York 6 thinks she can be president.

Who wants to tell her?

Sorry to the 'ettes, and especially the South Dakota 'ettes, for that "South Dakota 7/New York 6" joke. But Noem plainly thinks that her looks can overcome the fact that she broke faith with conservatives.

She has to take a good look in the mirror and realize she's not that good looking. She's merely good-looking for a politician. You wouldn't give her a second look, and barely a first look, if she was serving you coffee at Starbucks.

But when you stand her next to Nancy Pelosi and Chris Christie -- sure, she looks "cute."

Republican South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem expressed her frustration with the coverage she received from her "friends" in conservative media over her decision to not sign a transgender athlete bill into law earlier this year.

Speaking to reporters at CPAC on the subject of restoring trust Americans have in politics, Noem urged the media to be "a little more diplomatic," saying it "just gets old" to be taken out of context.

She then cited the media's treatment of her vetoing of a bill, as it was written, that would ban trans-athletes from participating in public school girls' sports.

"The women's sports issue was the one that was the hardest for me, because I've been attacked by liberals my whole life, but getting attacked by my friends was tough," Noem said. "So us on the right that say, 'Oh, we're never wrong--' no, we've got conservative reporters, conservative networks, that definitely do not tell the truth either."

"The bill that I gave my legislature and asked them to sign - because I did not veto a women's sports bill - I asked them to fix it, and they chose not to. But that wasn't the message that everybody heard in this country. And what I asked the legislature to sign is exactly the model legislation that's been passing in every other state … No governor ever got a bill put on their desk and handed to them like my legislature first gave me. And I gave them a style-informed revision, asked them to change it, and they refused. That's not what you guys heard on the national news," she elaborated.

Oh my God, so many Stunning and Brave, Stronk and Empowered Women being held down by Evil Men.

In March, Noem received rare criticism from conservative media for not enacting a bill that would ban trans-female athletes from competing in public school girls' sports, with outlets like The Federalist calling her actions "cowardly." The governor argued that the bill as written would have been defeated in the courts if it were challenged by opponents like the NCAA.

In addition to whining about correctly being called cowardly and a corporate sell-out, Kristi Noem went on to take a very passive-aggressive, c***y shot at Ron DeSantis for shutting down Florida and then pretending that he didn't.

We need leaders with "grit," says the Stronk Empowered Woman who spinelessly collapsed when the NCAA gave her a dirty look.

Emily Jashinsky, formerly of the Federalist, explains that Noem herself shutdown South Dakota, and is now pretending she didn't.

Guess she didn't have enough grit!

Jashinsky also notes that Noem is also "rewriting history" with respect to her "bad faith" and "deeply dishonest" claims she did not roll over for the corporate liberal Chamber of Commerce in letting boys compete against girls in sports.

Note that Jashinsky's cohost is a boomer leftwinger -- stop the video before he starts talking, or you'll want to kill yourself.

Joy Pullman at The Federalist has an absolutely baller column about why we should all be done with what Abigail Shrier has dubbed "Aw, Shucks" Conservatism -- a "conservatism" of cringing cowardice.

And she includes liberal trollop Kristi Noem as one of the "Aw, Shucks" Conservatives.

In a recent article critiquing the political right from a fair outsider's perspective, Abigail Shrier discusses what she calls "Aw Shucks Conservatism." Shrier writes this disposition's core mistake

...is that it treats Leftist ideologues like quirky out-of-town guests arriving for brunch. It assumes we all want the same things and are equally devoted to the perpetuation of bedrock American commitments: free speech, free exercise of faith, equal protection, rule of law.

But the Woke are not zany guests. They are home-invasion robbers. The structure they intend to leave behind will contain but a handful of the cultural artifacts they encountered. Bringing down statues of Abe Lincoln, books by Dr. Seuss and schools named for the country’s founders? That's just their casing the joint. The large-scale heist hasn't even started.

...

Unlike such so-called representatives, Shrier has awakened to the true nature of the political left, in large part by personal experience.... But many Americans still have not had close enough experiences with the radical left to have gained this deep understanding that their goal is the end of the American way of life.

That includes far too many Republican Party officeholders. Those are the kind of people who proudly make infrastructure deals with the Biden administration for the hollow sake of "bipartisanship" and then get rolled without exacting a price for it... Shrier gives the example of Sen. James Lankford's inability to critique the Biden administration replacing the word "mother" with "birthing person," which enables abominations like this.

Republicans do this because too many still do not understand -- or refuse to understand -- the nature of the opposition. They are culture war Neville Chamberlains, feeding Americans to the Minotaur one generation at a time while believing it's a bargain, because, after all, the Minotaur isn't eating everyone, and they'll certainly die before it’s their turn to meet him.

A display of this kind of mental and moral cowardice is utterly disqualifying from anyone who wants to hold office as a Republican going forward. That's because only fools make deals with barbarians expecting them to keep it. People who can't tell a citizen from a barbarian aren't fit to lead.

A key component of this cowardice is the refusal to fight for sexual sanity, Shrier’s top issue right now. No society can exist without protecting families. Republicans have whiffed on this at least since Roe v. Wade. Republican headliners like Mike Pence and Kristi Noem, for example, love to go around talking about how much they love God and liberty, but when things came down to the wire under their governorships, both quickly let the barbarians advance.

Recall that Pence was a key initial cause of the rise in cancel culture when he became the test case for the LGBT left's new strategy of attacking through the marketplace. In 2015, the left went nuts on Indiana over its attempt to protect Christians from harassment based on their beliefs, and Pence folded so fast the tactic immediately moved to the center of the left's arsenal.

Noem pulled a similar trick earlier this year on a bill to protect girls from being forced to compete against males in school sports, and she's still going around sucking her thumb about it, making her decision worse by piling on lies and accusations in an attempt to cover up her capitulation.

Her cover-up attempt is a top reason Noem should be a total non-starter nationally. Same for Pence. They have proven they cannot be trusted under fire to defend the American way of life. That's the whole game right there, folks -- not corporate tax rates and child credits.

Read the whole thing.

Yes, she has the Corporate Class' number right: they will talk about defending traditional American values, but when it comes to action, the only thing they're willing to act on is fucking corporate tax rates.

And then they tell you, "Hey, we're super conservative. Look at how we Preserved the American Way of Life for Montsanto. Walmart, Goldman Sachs and FaceBook."

Fuck you. Die in fires.

Kristi, go back to Paul Ryan, who was almost surely advising you and Asa Hutchinson on what to do on the transgender issues to keep yourself in good stead with the corporate donor wing of the party, and just ask him to get you a job on the board of CitiBank or whatever.

Which is your real endgame anyway.

You're done in elective conservative politics.

Get the fuck out and shut the fuck up.

Allen West, if you want to challenge a piece of shit in Texas, go for Dan Crenshaw, or a Democrat holding a Congressional seat.

Gov. Noem was handed a "culture war" battle on a silver platter, and choked on it.

Transexuals are generally speaking mentally ill individuals. In any event, our society is either unable or unwilling to keep chicks with dicks out of school sports. This is pathetically fucking ridiculous. She had a chance - and who better to make the case, than a female.

Our politicians are paid to do this stuff. That is their job. I get it, politics ain't bean bag, but if they don't want to do what must be done.

34 She's right, she did ask them to write a different bill. It may have even been a better one.

But she did veto that bill. She refused to sign a bill that would have protected girls in school from guys.

And that doesn't change no matter what explanations she tries to spin. If she wanted a different bill to begin with, she should have been pushing for that and campaigning for that, not sitting around then vetoing the first thing that came along.

You sign the meh bill then work on a better one, you don't shoot down the bill that does the right thing, just not in a way you like. You take the win, even if its not ideal.

Meh, legislators can be very prickly about their independence. The Ohio legislature is GOP controlled and they were quite willing to make it clear that they did not take orders from DeWine. Add in interpersonal conflicts, and it's entirely possible that a bill gets pushed through despite the Governor's suggestion that it be modified.

I am NOT a bit surprised that Kristy is pulling Rhino stunts. She WANTED lockdown powers. She begged the legislature for them and tried pulling a few tricks to get it to happen. The only reason she didn't lockdown anyway is because she also has cockroach DNA and is afraid of sunlight hitting her machinations. Once she started getting national recognition for open business she ran with it though.

I am very pleased she outed herself so she's out of the running.

But then she segues into the bad "chest-beating conservativism". This seems to be defined as that which deals with all the unimportant stuff, like abortion, and same-sex marriage, and CRT, and trannys, etc. These trivial matters are distracting all of us from the important task of, once again, supporting her individual rights as a woman.

Her advice for conservatives is simple, please do all the things that I personally find important right now and stop doing any of those dumb things that I do not. And stay away from dumb people like Marjorie Taylor Greene. I bet Trump is one of her dumb people.

Now the aw-shucks part is good. Don't get me wrong. But the latter part is not going to play and would be self-defeating anyway. The left builds coalitions of different wants. Why the heck can't we? Mutually supportive good things.

Sometimes just being in the fight tells us that you are not afraid to take a risk for something that is important.
She will spend a year, at least, defending this "lack of fight", when she could have just signed a bill, know it might have had flaws, just to signal...I am going to stand and fight for what I think is right.
Now, she finds herself fighting with other so-called conservatives over this issue.
She is fighting, but the wrong people over the wrong cause. The ONLY way she can win is if the legislature in S. Dakota gives her the bill she wants (allegedly) and then signs it.
Someone mentioned Joe Scarborough as a Reagan conservative. Was he? Was George H.W. Bush, who was actually Reagan's VP?

Same thing with Wetback of the Year Lorena Gonzalez, she who gutted the gig economy here, and now wants to ream out people who followed the state's urging to get solar panels.

the GOP's script during their last 15 years of surrender failure theater was to tank a candidate, then blame their values for that loss.

You see for left, whenever they lose, it's because they didn't articutlate their brilliance in enough guttural tones for hoi polloi to grok.

The GOP loses, it's because we're old, white losers who should shuffle off to die so the ethnic communist future can get on with their rad abortion dance offs.

383 29 Kristi, Kristi, Kristi. Come here a sit a spell. Lean forward and listen carefully, only gonna say this once...You voted to let men compete in women's sports. You put a stake through the heart of women's sports. You pissed all over women's sports. Some things are not recoverable.

It's even worse than that. WWII for us was not primarily about the Japanese blowing up one of our main naval bases; it was about the fact that there was a pernicious ideology spreading throughout the world that taught that certain people had the right to rule over the rest of the human race, and that they were justified in doing anything they wanted to achieve that goal. THAT was what had to be stopped. Similarly, the problem here is not so much women's sports (and I say this as a person who has become a manic fan of his alma mater's women's basketball team the past few years); the problem is that that there is a pernicious ideology spreading throughout the world that denies the existence of objective truth, that says that you can decide for yourself what you are no matter how much it conflicts with actual reality, and that anyone who disagrees should be destroyed.

But she did veto that bill. She refused to sign a bill that would have protected girls in school from guys."

And she used a technicality to get around having to openly veto the law and take a chance on being overridden. That just adds the cherry to the top of the sundae of lame.

386 96 " 'If the NCAA wants to sue, let them sue. Pay the fucking lawyers and put up. This concede defeat after wargaming in a committee meeting Mitch McConnell bullshit has to stop.'

It was the other way around: the NCAA could pull out and South Dakota would lose any court case. The problem is that would mean a lot of lost revenues for South Dakota businesses."

Except that there are two problems with that:

1.) I've actually read the NCAA's transgender policy (it's on their website, go look it up), and after all their harrumphing and threats and dire pronouncements, was stunned to find out that *it doesn't actually require their members to let tranzis play.* There's a lot of "you should" and "opening up opportunity" and "it's the right thing to do," but nowhere does it say that you must let tranzis play on the team of the opposite sex from what they are biologically. The only actual rule in the whole thing is that men pretending to be women must be on testosterone for one full year before they can play on women's teams.

Posted by: Joe Smith at July 15, 2021 08:26 PM (zmIA8)

387 cont. So frankly, I don't think the NCAA would have a leg to stand on in court over this one, since their own policies don't actually require their members to take any action on this issue. NC absolutely should have sued them, since the issue there was the bathroom law, which didn't even affect sports directly.
2.) I love sports, I always have, I think they're great fun--but as a driver of economic growth, they are grotesquely overrated. I cringe every time a city gives in to the pro leagues' blackmail and give their team a ridiculously sweetheart deal on a stadium. There's no evidence that they bring any additional revenue into a city on a regular basis; they just substitute for other kinds of revenue.

388 cont. Given that college sports are smaller than pro sports, the evidence in their favor is even more dubious.

389 The uniparty needs a Jeb Bush candidate to "win" in 2024. This will "prove" the vote was totally not rigged.

390 Noem is a Decepticon. Conservative-flavored, Mitch-favored.

391 Highly recommend the original Abigail Shrier piece. It's about how to fight back and win.

re: how they invented "birthing person"

The Left believes that a woman who thinks she's a man is, in fact, a man.

But they don't want to say that men can give birth because even they know that's batshit crazy. Hence "birthing person.

Give her five minutes in a room with Bill Clinton or Epstein and this chick will be servicing them gleefully naked on her knees.

When you are the elite 1% of 1%, it does not matter what state you govern.

You will NEVER be the cagefighter we need as PREZ to stop the madness.

If that madness does not stop, we WILL have a split in the country. Hopefully, a peaceful divorce, but it WILL happen.

All you guys (and gals) wasting time arguing back and forth on this failure of Noem is pathetic.

It comes down to one question....

Is the prospect a CAGEFIGHTER for the Constitution, America and its people?

That's it!

Right now, that includes ONLY Trump and DeSantis, and you all know this.

395 I'm none too happy about Allen West challenging Abbott.
Abbott's a piece of dogshit. I live in Texas and our dependence on wind power is due to him. He also snivels that when those members of the Texas House of Representatives come back to Texas, then they will be arrested. Versus, perhaps, charging them with crimes *now* and providing a bounty to have bounty hunters drag their asses back to Texas.

396 ps; Shrier takes as shot at MTG as a "chest-thumper" who doesn't sway anyone. I think that's wrong. She fights

Greene is one of the few who has been fighting for Honest Elections. You can change all the minds you want but without Honest Elections, it never translates into winning candidates or policies.

Take your own advice, Abigail.

397 Okay, you caught us. We'll just all take our short d***s and go cringing
back to the prom queen. I hope she'll punish us severely.

Bad news. They elected a trannie for prom queen this year.
