Gee, I seem to remember the media covering the run-down in Charlottesville a lot.
But total silence on this -- including from Fox. Have you heard about this? I only heard about it from one single source: Tim Pool. From there I found the Daily Mail article, but no one else is covering this. Certainly you're not seeing Charlottesville like coverage, even though this is the exact same situation again, except with the parties flipped. But leftwing violence is acceptable to leftists, such as Chris Wallace, and FoxNews' entire "news" division. This isn't a big deal -- it's something to be buried and if it can't be buried, then minimized with "context." But so far? I looked at the video when this happened, and then the news a day later and they claimed that the crowd broke the window BEFORE she rammed them. But from the video, that is not what it looked like. It looked like they were taking photos of her, and not a threat at all.
Or am I confusing two incidents? Anyway, if not it looks like the lie of the day is that she was under threat. Not sure if that is true, but I doubt it.

I saw a "protest" marching down the street in front of my office on Monday. I followed at lunchtime to see if there was anything going on. Got to Capitol Hill and there was about 100 people in Judkins park doing their thing. Apparently they burned more cars and assaulted a couple people that night. Absolutely NOTHING in the local paper.

there have been other incidents. there was a nut who ran into a Trump booth at some kind of a rally last year. No one killed or seriously hurt, but it was an attempted vehicular homicide. You will find stories like this is local coverage. Local crime stories if you will. I saw a "protest" marching down the street in front of my office on Monday. I followed at lunchtime to see if there was anything going on. Got to Capitol Hill and there was about 100 people in Judkins park doing their thing. Apparently they burned more cars and assaulted a couple people that night. Absolutely NOTHING in the local paper.

He drove toward the mass of people and plowed into them. There was no one right by his car when he accelerated toward the mob. He had better options for escaping, imo.

Youtube had a local news report on this the day it happened and they implied that the Trump supporters were standing in the middle of the street and had surrounded the car. Had to read the comments to find out the truth, that they were in a parking lot and the woman deliberately rammed into the crowd. Even the video the news channel showed was edited so you couldn't see anything.

Several of my coworkers are SERIOUSLY ignorant of what's going on in the US right now. The guy I respect the most (for his technical ability, planning, and foresight) is so damn ignorant (and poisoned by the media) he doesn't know the Black Panthers still exist, thinks Trump blames Mexican tomato pickers for unemployment, had ZERO knowledge of Kenosha, and didn't have a clue what i meant when I told another coworker is electric car is powered by coal and 8 year-old African kids. Im afraid he will vote this year... sad.

I think it's fair to say the "media" are thoroughly and irredeemably corrupt, and waiting for them to be anything else is a fool's errand. I've given up hoping they'll ever redeem themselves. Period, full stop. The movement toward full-on leftism in all its forms is the priority. And in that movement comes the covering up, deceipt and lying they perpetrate on the people in this country. I think the best way to punish Fox is to start steering anyone you know, particularly older people, to watch OAN. And we need to push OAN to make themselves more widely available, both on cable systems and streaming. If they need resources to do that, they should ask for some sort of investment or crowd support.
If they succeed, they may very well end up like Fox at some point. Right now, they're the better alternative and a way to start bleeding Fox of revenue.

Taking out collisions at the plate and breaking up the double play just made good sense. It's easy to get seriously injured from either of those plays. In the latter case, middle infielders never actually touched the bag; umpires called it "in the vicinity" good enough. Now they have to touch the bag, but cannot be freight-trained.
The problem in both cases is that the defensive player is often effectively helpless to protect himself. So I see these rules as being essentially like that against clipping in football.

Pitchers suck at batting. Why would you want to see 1/9 of at bats being almost automatic outs?
I don't but I do sometimes like seeing a manager have to make a strategic choice between taking the almost automatic out or pulling a well-performing pitcher for a pinch hitter. A lot of variables go into that decision and the game could hinge on it.

Exactly. You have to know the game a bit to find it interesting. If you don't know the game, it's boring. Trying to make baseball "more interesting" is like trying to make chess "more interesting." Say, maybe when capturing an opponent's piece you throw it at him or something.
